It was a dark and warm evening. Not that late and not too early either. Some students were inside staying and studying working hard for the good grades. Or hanging out with friends and having a good time. The green haired witch was by herself...well for now at least. But at least she was having a good time. Her curiosity had tempeted her and she had the urge to go down and see this pool. She had always liked swimmng anyway. It was so nice to feel the water and just cool down and be able to relax. She was currently lying on her back floating above the water. She was able to keep herself still being so lost in her own thoughts. It was easy for her to relax even though she was worried for Lelouch and stressed about what may come.
She had her eyes closed while doing this staying even more focused. Her long green hair was spread out, the water flowing through it and moving it along ever so gently. She liked the feeling that it was giving off. Kept her at so much ease. She wasn't even sure what compelled her to come to this school. She hadn't ever gone to a school despite her being alive for so long. She never had the chance when she was a young girl as a servant. And she never really felt the urge too when she was in her stage of immortality, which she still was in. She was mainly here to have something to do to help past the time. She naturally did get bored since she didn't have anything to live for. She wanted something worth living for. Or even someone. And have the love returned back to her.
Her honey colored eyes slowly fluttered open, looking up to the clear night's sky. She noted how many stars were in the sky and the moonlight that was shining down on the water of the pool. She paused for a moment before getting up and falling back to her feet with grace. She slowly headed out of the pool bringing herself up and sitting on the ledge of the pool her legs still dangling in the water. She gave her long hair a tight squeeze in attempts to get some of the water out. She noticed that she was alone. Would someone else come or would loneliness overtake her and just lead her to leaving the pool? She was never too fond of being by herself.

Kagome sighed as the twilit evening slowly faded into a dusky black night. She watched, sitting on her bed, staring aimlessly out of the window. She was trying to... trying to... who knew what. She couldn't even remember what she was trying to do. She had been so distracted lately, not paying attention in class, jumping when someone called her name, wandering aimlessly among the hallways of school. Daydreaming was becoming almost an hourly habit, and Kagome was growing more and more distant from everyone.
Tonight was no different. The warm evening air gave her pleasantly blank thoughts, and she was comfortable in her unawareness. As the last rays of sunshine streamed into the room and kissed her face, reflecting off of her pretty brown eyes and dancing around the room, Kagome dreamily blinked. Slowly she shook her head, startled out of her reverie by the sudden darkness. She had forgotten to turn on a light earlier.
Sighing again, Kagome lightly leapt onto the floor and went to turn on the light. Her foot struck something, and she squinted in the dark to see it. It was her towel and swimsuit. How long had it been since she had used them? Kagome couldn't remember. But all of a sudden, a night swim sounded delicious.
Slipping out of her clothes, Kagome replaced them with her bikini. She grabbed up her towel and, tucking her hair into an elastic band for a ponytail, snatched her key before making her way out of the room.
As she walked down to the swimming pool, Kagome wrapped the towel around her body. Not because it was cold; the mere act just gave her an inexplicable sense of comfort and belonging. The night air, still warm, seemed to clear her head instead of muddle it as it had earlier. Maybe she was just excited by the prospect of a dark swim, she didn't know.
Kagome reached the pool, but stopped. There was already someone there! Another girl... it was impossible to tell her age in the dim light. Kagome unwrapped the towel from herself and draped it over a chair. She made her way over to where the girl was and introduced herself.
"Hello. I guess I'm not the only one with the idea of a night swim," she said, taking notice of the girl's already wet... greenish?... hair. She stuck out her hand to offer the girl a friendly handshake. "I'm Kagome, first year here." [/blockquote]

Will was restless in his dorm room. He was flicking through the channles on this small television but nothing interested him. He turned off the tv, threw the remote on the table and threw his head back, covering his face with his hands. "What to do, what to do." he thought to himself. Then he got an idea. He looked around his small room for his swim trunks and goggles. He riffled through his dresser and found them in the top draur of the cherry wood vessel. As he swiftly changed he grabbed his flip flops and his towel and walked out of his dorm.
He walked down the few flights of stairs and got down to the ground floor. Walking out of the dorm building he headed for the pool. As he walked along he looked up at the shining moon and beautiful twinkling stars, thinking how nice it would be to share this with someone, someone he loved. He walked over to the edge of the pool, dropping his towel on a chair as he passed by and strapped on his goggles. As he was about to jump in he noticed there were two people sitting near the edge a little ways away. He decided to be courtious and took off his goggles, walking over. "Hey, I'm Will. What are your names?" He said with a smile. It was a little too dark to see them but he could make out just enough to tell they had long hair and were girls. He sighed, smiled, and looked up at the sky. "The sky looks beautiful tonight. And it's exceptionally warm."

Kagome glanced up as another newcomer approached. It was a guy... she could tell because no girl would be wandering shirtless around a pool at the school. Not that she knew of anyway... if it ever happened, she hoped to be far, far away. Her mind snapped back to the present.
Her eyebrow raised almost of her own accord. Even in the dim lighting, she could see the physical attractiveness of the young man. She watched with interest the way his muscles moved as he removed his goggles and introduced himself.
"Hello, HANDSOME!!!" was what she said in her mind, along with a wink and a whistle.
But what she said aloud was merely "Hello, Will. I'm Kagome. It's nice to meet you." She gave him a slightly dazzling smile. Then he mentioned the beautiful night sky. And the warm weather. Again, she raised her eyebrow. Was he making small talk, or did he really love nature? He seemed genuine enough.
"Yes, the weather is quite beautiful tonight." Another smile, a little more tentative. "Where I come from, the stars are often hidden... but out here, well... it really is gorgeous." She looked up at the stars, stretching her long legs out in front of her and leaning her head back. She took a deep breath and let it out, closing her eyes. "So, what brought you down here at this time, Will?" she asked. [/blockquote]

Will sat down next to the two on the hard concrete deck, sticking his feet in the water. He leaned back on his hands and looked up too. "Nice to meet you Kagome." He smiled. From what he could see, she was pretty. And he definately liked her smile. A lot. "So, where exactly are you from? I'm from Miami, so I don't see it much either." He sighed quietly, looking back up to the sky.
Will moved his feet around in the water, deciding it was a little too cool. Even though the air was comfortably warm the water was not so much. "Eh, I'm comfortable sitting here." He thought to himself. He glanced at Kagome in the corner of his eye and smirked a little bit. She was definately pretty, and he really liked her smile. So far she seemed nice, not an antisocial, 'get-away-from-me' person. "This school might not be totally horrible after all." The thought went through his mind. "Great classes, great scenary, nice people, good looking people, and very smart people. This is a pretty great school." He thought to himself with a smug smiled.

Kagome flashed another smile as Will sat next to her and put his feet in the water, imitating her as he leaned back. This was going well, she thought to herself. He was nice. And nice-looking. In fact, now that she could see him because he was closer, Kagome really enjoyed looking at the handsome young man. She sighed inwardly, hoping this was the beginning of a beautiful school year. Her heart gave a small flip as he smiled back at her.
Quit it, you, she thought to her silly blood-pumping organ. Don't spoil this.
Will mentioned that he usually couldn't see the stars from where he was from in Miami either. Then he asked Kagome where she lived.
"Japan." It was a simple answer, but it brought a tug to her heartstrings and a troubled look briefly crossed her eyes. It was so far away... But as quickly as the homesick feeling came, it disappeared, and the pretty young woman hoped that her handsome companion hadn't noticed.
She quickly changed the subject. "What classes are you going to take? We may have one together..." Kagome hoped to herself that they did. She put her feet in the water next to Will's and began to swish her legs around. [/blockquote]

Will's arms were getting cold so he reached behind him to where his shirt and towel lay. He slipped on his plain black t-shirt as a slight breeze picked up, sending a little chilled flutter down his back, raising the hair on his arms.
When Kagome answered Japan and immediantly went into a different topic he took it as a subject change, she obviously didn't want to talk about it. So he went along. "Well, I have Science third period, Drama fourth, and History First. How about you?" His face lit up a bit as he smiled at her, returning her flashy one. "You know, you remind me of one of my bestfriends..." He went silent for a moment, looking back to the sky. He missed his friend. Clair was a girl he hung out with all the time in his old school, junior high. But when he moved they lost contact. He remembered walking down the hallway with her and everyone would whisper that they should be going out. But she was going out with his cousin and never got the chance to ask to go out with her before he left. He always tried to forget her, tried to put her out of his mind. But Kagome's smile was the same as Claire, so bright and...and...happy, really. He pushed out the memory and looked back at Kagome again, smiling wide."

Kagome mentally gave a little sigh and pout as Will covered his bare chest with a stupid shirt. Then she shook her head. What was she thinking? What was it about this guy that was instantly attractive, that made her wish she could just sit next to him forever? Yes, the guy was good-looking; he had a nice physique, a very nice smile, cute face, beautiful eyes (if a guy would let someone call his eyes "beautiful")... but it seemed to go so much deeper than that. However, Kagome barely knew him! It shouldn't be like this. The instant chemistry... it was crazy. There was no way it could be happening. Wasn't there?
As Will listed his classes, Kagome gave a small squeal- which she tried to disguise as a cough. She didn't want to turn Will off after just having met him.
"We have classes together, you and I," she said excitedly. But not too excitedly. Just enough excitement. "History first period and Drama in fourth. Only, I take Art third period. I think I can safely assume you'll help me find the classrooms we have together?" Kagome flinched at her request. She didn't even know she was going to ask that... but there it was, laid out on the table. Why did she keep having to make herself look like a fool?
A small furrow formed between Kagome's eyes as Will mentioned a girl she reminded him of. She heard the wistfulness in his voice, and by this time was not surprised by her random emotion- a small twist of jealousy as she picked up on his mood. He had obviously had history with this girl, and she could see in his eyes that it was slightly more than just close friendship. But like her own fleeting emotions, the moment passed as quickly as it had come, and he was giving her a wide smile.
The energy of the young man was completely charismatic and catching, and she found herself with no other option but to smile back. She really enjoyed smiling. Especially at handsome guys. "So..." she began, not really knowing where to steer the conversation from there. She didn't say anything else, for once being at an honest loss for words. Kagome waited for Will to comment on her strangeness. [/blockquote]

Swimming.
Never sounded like a bad idea. And a night just made it even better. Being from the few four years of the school, Luke knew about the grounds well. All mostly from ditching classes and whatnot. He knew all the trees around the lot, all the calm areas for training or even a good nap under the shade.
The pool was never hard to find.
Wearing plain black swim trunks and carrying a long towel with him, Luke moved to the pool with ease. A wide smile on his face as he imagined how it'd be like. just him, the water and the wonderful night sky. Oh the beauty of it all. Finally, making it there his dark green eyes widened at the sight. There was a girl with green hair, another who seemed quite average and another dude. He grinned. "Awesome."
Well at least he was not going to be alone.
Moving along, he made his way to the edge of the deep end. Tossing his towel aside, Luke cleared his throat and let in a deep breath. Stepping back a few ways, he made a quick run to the deep end till finally-
"CANNON BALL!"
SPLASH!
Luke rolled into a ball and fell straight into the pool making a magnificent splash. All that rose from his was the tip ends of his long ruby red hair. Finally, he rose from the water and let in some air. His eyes peered over to the people in the middle section of the pool. He shoo his head, drying off most of the top, keeping those gravity defying spikes from his hair up.
He held his grin and waved to them. "Hey, I hope I didn't get you wet!" He chuckled and swam over to them.

Will sighed as he saw another guy coming. Hopefully he wouldn't try to get in on their 'party'. As he passed by them Will sighed in relief but then the guy started backing up. Then he made a run for it. As he yelled canon ball Will got sprayed with cold pool water. "Hey, I hope I didn't get you wet" Will rolled his eyes as he swam over. "Nice, ruin our moment why don't ya" He thought. Though he wanted to say that he bit his tongue sso as to not drive off the guy, though he still wanted to. He was trying to be courtious so he stuck out his hand. "Hey man, I'm Will and this is Kagome..." He said pointing to Kagome.
Will glanced over at Kagome, hoping everything hadn't been ruined, everything being all that had gone on between them on the concrete deck of the pool under the bright, beautiful stars. He turned his head to look at her, only noticing her eyes for the first time. They glittered, reflecting the moon like the pool. "Wow" He breathed quietly, only loud enough for him and her to hear. He hadn't realized he said it and when he did he blushed a light red, but he held his gaze on her. "Think quick and bring up another topic. Quickly!" He urged in his mind. "Um..." He tried to think of something and while he was thinking of a subject he decided to just kind of ignore the random guy that had just splashed them all. Then he thought of something. "So, what year are you?" He wanted to build up a conversation that the anonymous guy in the pool would not intrude on hopefully.

A frown line appeared on Kagome's forehead as they were interrupted by another newcomer. She looked up at the guy with an irritated expression on her face, but quickly smoothed it away. The young man didn't know what he was interrupting, how could he? She decided to forgive him.
Until she saw the sly look on his face. He backed up several paces, and suddenly took off toward the deep end of the pool. "CANONBALL!" he yelled.
Kagome gave a little yelp as she was doused with a splash of cool pool water. Her ponytail streamed little rivulets down her back, and her bangs were plastered to her forehead. An annoyed light filled her eyes as she turned to Will, checking to see if he got as wet as she did. The stupid guy who had just splashed them actually had the audacity to say aloud he hoped he didn't get them too wet; Kagome just fixed him with a glare as Will introduced the two of them. She was glad she didn't have to speak to the troublemaker- she wasn't quite sure that she wouldn't give him an earful.
Suddenly she heard Will give a little gasp and say "Wow..." under his breath. She turned to him, trying to discover what he was saying it about... and was surprised to see his gaze fixed on her. She blushed deeply, grateful that it was dark enough that he couldn't really see it, and self-consciously drew her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around her legs. Ducking her head and peeking up at him shyly through her lashes, she answered his question as to what year she was. "I'm just a first year. I'm fifteen, but I'll be turning sixteen quite soon." Wow. Was it her imagination, or did that sound a little defensive? Did she feel that she had to make herself seem older to him, as if it would attract him to her more? Kagome pondered all of this.
Just then, Kagome remembered the other girl that had been at the pool when she first arrived. She gasped... "Oh, my gosh! I'm so sorry," she said to the girl. "You were so quiet... I didn't mean to ignore you! Did that lout splash you much?" she asked, concerned. She felt horrible, not really meaning to leave the girl out of the conversation. Kagome had just been so lost in Will... that she forgot everything else.

C.C. moved her legs back and forth in the water liking the feeling of it. Some of the water came up and splashed a bit but it didn't really bother her at all. She liked the feeling of water. Sort of soothing in some odd way. She jerked her head when she heard the sound of someone else coming into the pool. The few lights they had weren't all that strong. Rather dim so she couldn't make out her looks from that far away. She appeared fairly young, long dark hair and overall she seemed like a pretty and nice girl. The girl noticed her and since they were the only two at the pool, she seemed to want to introduce herself and talk. C.C. didn't mind. She was social depending on how she felt and other times she wanted to keep to herself. She introduced herself as Kagome, a first year girl. C.C. put on a small smile shaking her hand.
"Pleasure to meet you Kagome. You can call me C.C., I am a third year." She said in her usual calm, relaxed and quiet tone of voice. Before she heard what Kagome had to say, she noticed someone else come in. A young boy. He introduced himself as Will and came over to speak to both of them. "I'm CC. Its nice to meet you." She said and looked up to the sky when he commented on it. It did look nice. She had been admiring it earlier with all of the stars. "Yes...its very beautiful." She sad looking to the sky for a moment and when she looked back she noticed Kagme and Will had begun a conversation with what seemed like flirting. She dind't want to intrude on their fun so she stayed quiet just looking into the water.
Flirting was always a harmless game done be teenagers. Sometimes it could turn into love and sometimes it could turn into just harm and bad news. She knew that loe was complicated. Yet she yearned to be loved and wanted to feel it so much. Seemed like the only thing that would make her long immortal life that would seem to never end. Having something worth living for. Or someone. She listened to Kagome and Will not being able to help it since she was curious. Something broke this though hearing someone yell out Cannonball! She whipped her head around quickly, her hair spinning in front of her face as well. She watched some boy jump in the pool and create a huge splash. It got her wet as expected. Just when her hair had started to dry, it was now wet again.
She looked irritated as she grabbed her hair and gave it a squeeze some of the water coming out. She looked over to him when he apologized. "Its nothing..." She said though she still looked and seemed mad. She didn't really look all that inviting when she was annoyed or mad. She was quick to calm down though. Especially when she had a nice big pizza pie. She noticed Will and Kagome seemed a bit irritated about this. Probably because the entrance of the other boy spoiled the moment of flirting that the two of them were having. Natural reason to be upset. C.C. looked up when Kagome started apologizing for leaving her out of the conversation. She was very kind. C.C. gave a soft smile. She admired that kindness that Kagome had. It was very sweet and a nice trait to hae. She seemed like a good person.
"No need to apologize. I'm quite alright. I didn't want to spoil the conversation between you two. And a bit...I'll survive though." C.C. said calmly.

Luke rubbed the back of his head as he watched the reactions of the others. "Oh man... sorry you guys.." Feeling the heat of their glares pound into his stare. He began thinking twice about swimming over to them. He just floated in the pool. Listening to them. They seemed pretty nice... but from the looks of it, he had just interrupted a good moment for the lot of them.
He let a gulp run down his throat and move to the near ladder. Climbing up it and giving a big stretch of his arms. "Ah. Much nicer. It was getting hot in the dorms." Luke sighed to himself and turned to the others. He felt his long red hair feel somewhat glued to his back thanks to the water he just climbed out of. Quickly taking most of it by hand, he twisted it, almost like a towel. Water trickled from it just as quickly.
Luke shook his head and let his hair flow down the way it was when it's dry. "Oh Nice to meet you guys. I'm Luke fon Fabre. But you guys can just call me Luke. I'm a Fourth Year." He informed with a nod of his head. It was nice to meet new people. Half of them weren't really new but whatever works.
He nodded at Will's comment on the weather and whatnot. It was nice. "Heh, yeah. It's always nice when the moon is lit like this." Luke nodded and looked to the dark sky. He let out a nice sigh and looked back to the others. The girl with darker hair still did not seem to happy. From what he was told, she was named Kagome. He walked over to her and bent over to where his eyes met with the side of her face. "Are you still mad at me? If so, is there ANY way for me to make it all up to you?" All this was said with a big grin to his face. He awaited some kind of answer.

Will scowled into the darkness as Luke bent down in Kagome's face. For the the moment he was glad that no one could see his face. He was hoping Kagoome's attention wouldn't be taken away from their conversation that was rudely interupted by Luke's wet canonball. At the moment Will wanted almost nothing more than to wipe the stupid grin right off Luke's face. But that wasn't like Will, he didn't get mad that quickly...maybe he was jealous? He wasn't the jealous type either...except in this situation apparantly. "What the heck? Why are you so mad about this guy? He's just another student...and so is Kagome..." He tried to tell himself. But he knew that to him, Kagome wasn't just another student...she was possibly the girl that he'd been looking for.
Will cleared his throat, trying to get away from the awkward space. He stood up and grabbed his goggles, taking off his shirt. He walked to the edge of the pool, calling over his shoulder to C.C and Kagome, ignoring Luke out of dislike, "I think I'm going to go for a swim. I'll be in the water if anyone would care to join me." He smiled at Kagome before turning back to the water and diving in, immediately starting to do laps across the pool. When he dived into the water there was a slight cold shock but it wore off quickly as he found his way to the other end of the pool, flipped and headed back for the end he came from. He has missed swimming, since this pool was outside he couldn't get in in the spring, or winter or fall. He had always loved swimming, since he was old enough to walk. He'd joined many swim teams and won lots of trophies, he enjoyed it a lot. He completed his first lap and was almost done with his second lap, on his way back to where he started when he passed them sitting on the side of the pool. He stopped and flipped on his back, floating nonchalantly. As he floated along, he folded his arms behind his head as a make-shift cusion and looked up at the stars. He inconspicuously listened to what Kagome would say to Luke, glancing at her through his eyelashes. He really hoped she would join him in the pool.

Kagome smiled warmly at C.C. She liked the girl; even though she was kinda quiet, she could tell that there was a bit of spark in her.
As the canonballer climbed his way out of the pool and stretched, he apologized again. Kagome rolled her eyes at him. She wasn't really amused at all. Just drenched. Pointedly she ignored him... then he introduced himself as Luke, a fourth year. "Hi," she said shortly. "You already know I'm Kagome. Will introduced me earlier." She gave a small smile exclusively to Will.
But then she was surprised by an unwelcome invasion of her personal space. Luke had come over to her and put his face right in hers, again asking if there was any way he could make it up to her. Kagome quickly gave him a disgusted look, wondering to herself if there was an implied double-entendre in his words. "No. I'm fine. It's okay, it's just a little water, I won't melt or anything." Her gaze became steely as Will edged away from Luke and stood up, saying that he was going to go swimming and inviting anyone to join him.
However... Kagome melted as he took off his shirt. There was just no way she could be mad at ANYONE when she saw a beautiful muscled torso like that. She sighed loudly, then immediately turned a deep crimson. Whoops. No one was supposed to hear that...
Kagome was quiet as Will donned his goggles and slid smoothly into the water; she watched him start to do laps, and then flip over and recline in the lull of the ripples. She smiled, suddenly wishing to join him.
The raven-haired girl stood up and shook her arms a little. Walking to the deep end of the pool, she took one running step... pushed off the edge... launched herself high into the air... and did a neat little flip and twist before diving cleanly into the murky depths of the pool. Let them think about THAT for a moment. Surfacing, she filled her lungs with air and slowly swam over to where Will was floating on his back. She quietly sank beneath the surface, and, swimming under him, grabbed him by the ankle and ducked him under.
