//directed to Tsuki// Akane's fox ears perked up as she heard a newcomer arrive. It was a girl in a blue, goth-style dress. She liked the dress as she had her own goth style at times like now excpet her dress was black and red. Akane retracted her ears and tail, satisfied by the disturbance she had created, and jumped down from her perch up in the trees. She landed with a light 'thump' and further analyzed the situation. The girl was alone. This same girl was not being social as most humans are supposed to be at things like a 'party.' Akane decided to approach and introduce herself. Walking up to her, she said, "Hello, My name is Akane Okada." Akane bowed after the introduction. "I noticed that you were here by yourself. Are you not enjoying the summer ball?"

((Also directed to Tsuki))
Syaoran let out a relieved sigh as the older guy and the spider-fearing girl began talking to each other, letting him slip out of the picture. He had expected the girl to be a lot more angry about him spilling punch on her dress. Even still, so far he'd done nothing good to report back to his parents. Maybe he'd just have to make it all up... only he was a terrible liar.
Scanning the crowd made Syaoran even more daunted. Why did they have to enroll him in an academy for older teens? Just because it covered certain special needs didn't mean they had to force him to skip grades to go there. There wasn't a single other kid in the crowd except... Aha!
Spotting Tsuki over by herself he felt a little confidence return. So he wasn't the only kid here after all! Relieved, he walked over and was about to introduce himself when Akane appeared and got in first. Standing a little back he waited until Akane was done and then jumped in himself.
"Ah, hi, did your parents make you skip grades too?" he began, then shook his head and tried again with a more normal introduction. "Er, I mean... I'm Li Syaoran. My parents are making me go here even though it's mostly a school for late teens. I thought I'd be the only kid here, but I'm glad there are others."
Nervous, but glad he had managed to do a rather normal introduction, Syaoran gave a 'refreshing smile'.

the absurdity of it all. directed to, rikka
'Fun people?' The young man mulled over the innocent question a bit, thinking up of all possible names - only one really came into mind. Said person was, in fact, currently present in the vicinity however for image's sake he did not extend his thoughts and further. It was enough that the two of them did know each other but to announce it to the world? No thanks.
"Perhaps I do, but now isn't really the time." He cryptically replied, a small grin forming on his face, "Maybe later? There's plenty of time left, methinks" Suddenly he took a light hold of her hands and dragged her somewhere near the corner of the dance floor before giving a square look, "Let's try to get this finished first - I'm betting that there's gonna be a lot of surprised faces."

"I'm not..." But Axel had probably already noticed he was still flushed from running. "I just thought I was late. Don't wanna miss the fun parts, you know." He flinched back a bit when Axel reached for his hair, but relaxed when he saw the leaf. "Thanks," he said with a quick check of his shoulders to make sure more forest debris hadn't hitched a ride. "Don't worry about it, it's just a rental..."
He cast a look back around at the crowd. "Seen anyone else we know?" By that he meant more anyone Axel knew--Roxas hadn't made many friends at the Academy just yet, and he didn't exactly expect Naminé to show up in a glittering ball gown. It was a dance, after all, and they were expected to do just that...but most of the girls looked like they were already taken, and the few who weren't had either clustered together or taken up lonely positions in the corners.

"Perhaps I do, but now isn't really the time."
Rikka simply nodded although in truth those words just made her even more curious. How couldn't it? It sounded like he was hiding something and well she hated people keeping secrets from her? Besides who could blame her, It's not like people like to have secrets being kept away from them. She was curious and she really wanted to know now. She had to bite her tongue not to say anything about it. Not now, now now. She had to make sure that she doesn't look childish, especially in front of him.
She didn't really hear what he had to say next but felt him hold her hand. Her mind flashed to the time in the city and her face felt hot. She looked down and followed him onto what seems to be the dance floor. He wanted to dance? Right now? Here in front of everyone? She couldn't believe it, how could he act like nothing was wrong. Wait, nothing was wrong, other than this sudden heat. Maybe she was getting heat stroke. Whatever the case was, she felt her heart rate go up. Yet she felt a smile tug her lips and she didn't know why. This wasn't like her.
"Let's try to get this finished first - I'm betting that there's gonna be a lot of surprised faces."
The girl nodded in agreement as they started to dance. Hopefully they won't step on each others feet. Good thing they taught her how to dance back home. It was something they wanted their daughter to at least know so she won't look like a slob. She continued to dance lightly, her movement so fluid. She felt her dress twirl and she could see some eyes staring at the two but she didn't really care. It was just for one night. Screw the rumors that they must be making, screw the stares they gave her. She was happy right now and that's all that mattered in her mind.
"The look on their face is priceless." she whispered to him. The queen still smiling as they waltz.

Okay, what the hell was this? He hadn't mentioned a freakin' single thing about that damnable hat (only that it was odd to see, nothing more) and she goes ranting into it; he didn't give two sh*ts about hats, he rarely wore one so it wasn't like it really mattered. But he did agree on the last part - he wasn't here for the food, he was here for booze... if any, which was unlikely so. Pity.
"I don't think anything can cure boredom, dear." Valentine replied, "It'll always come back." All of a sudden a gnawing sensation made it's presence known around his back, like a foreboding feeling that somehow something would happen. That or he was being mentioned by someone - now who the hell would do that? His visage betrayed nothing, just a bored look was there, and he opened his mouth once more, "But honestly, kid, how can you be not bored out of your mind? there's nothing to do."

"The look on their face is priceless." He grinned in agreement, letting go and letting her twirl, before repeating the three step pattern to the waltz: step, step, twirl, and repeat. It was the bare basics but really the waltz was completely nothing without the music, which was according to his ears, at the accurate timing: three/four. He continued, matching her step per step, as the gracefully twirled around. This was one of the few perks of being born into a business-influenced family: knowing how to present oneself. That and the fact he actually knew how to dance a bit... believe it or not, only that he didn't flaunt his skills. Many knew him as a musician or artist, not an actor or dancer.
"Well, I guess this would teach people not to 'judge a book by its cover,' right?" Kuro asked, slightly slowing down to match the tempo of the song. He hated slow songs but it was a ball and he didn't really have much a say in anything. All of the other times he had been to their school dances were for little mixers and nothing formal - he was slightly starting to regret, but only a bit, due to the nature of the songs. "But don't worry 'bout that, you still have one year to teach them and make them grovel... and literally."

"This isn't so bad." Directed to: Kuro Kuro was a good dancer, okay there had to be more to this guy now. Come on, he was a gentleman and a dancer? Now not many kids knew the waltz and she highly doubt he learned it all in one day or really bothered to at least not without being forced anyway. She felt herself became even more curious. She really wanted to know what was up with him and she didn't have that much longer to. They weren't in the same class and once summer is over she won't see him again. The thought made her bitter. She was having a lot of fun with him and she barely knew the guy. Part of her wished that he was held back just so they could graduate on the same year. That way she can still have some more fun.
"Well, I guess this would teach people not to 'judge a book by its cover,' right?"
At those words she wasn't so sure if he meant her or himself. After all she had judged him by his cover at first as a guy who was nothing but trouble. Just like that and people judged her as a spoil rotten child. She nodded at his words though, yeah that'll teach them and her as well. The thought was kind of funny that she chuckled a bit. Yeah, never judge a book by its cover especially when it came to her dance partner. He was full of surprises just like opening up presents. You don't really know what's inside but you always try to guess and most of the time get it wrong.
Although the queen usually hated being wrong she was perfectly okay with it right now. She was glad that she was wrong, not that she would ever say that out loud. After all if the queen was wrong that meant that she was imperfect and with that all her servants would no longer fear her. She had to keep the mask on since it's the only way for her to have someone to talk to or mess around with.
"But don't worry 'bout that, you still have one year to teach them and make them grovel... and literally."
"Yeah but without you around it won't be as easy or as fun." she stated non nonchalantly. After all no one would had expected her to have a fourth year as her date. Although the idea of making them grovel was fun nonetheless, it would be fun if she had someone to gloat it with.

He nearly tumbled, but luckily catched his footing, before fixing his short partner a look; what was this all about? "Sound to me like a confession of love." The albino teased, giving the other a twirl. It was a nice feeling, albeit a tad bit embarrassing, but still nice. It was good to know that he would be leaving with some hope that he wouldn't be forgotten or something. "But all joking aside, thanks. And aside from that, I can still visit, right?" Oh, he didn't plan on leaving without a fight - he wanted to torment as much people as he could around here, especially a certain orange haired adult.
He stopped abruptly, just as the music ended (yeah, he actually remembered what song it was) and gave a bow. Odd thing to do but well, he was odd anyway. "Shall we do something else now?"

"What to do, what to do?" Directed to: Kuro "Sound to me like a confession of love."
Eh? Rikka almost wanted to scream 'what?' at the top of her lungs but was able to stop herself due to the fact that it would be strange. She wasn't confessing to him or anything. She was only stating a fact. Besides, it wasn't like she had a crush on him, he was just a good servant. What is this about love? Was this guy high from smoking or something? He probably was if he asked a question like this but yet he was able to dance so well. She didn't really say anything as he twirled her. It was amazing how the shock didn't make her fall. After all it came out of no where. This guy was misinterpreting her big time. Big time!
"But all joking aside, thanks. And aside from that, I can still visit, right?"
Oh he was joking? The girl took a small moment to sigh in relief. Thank god. Although as he said that she looked down for a moment he cheeks getting hotter. The queen recovered herself and looked back up. "Yeah but with collage isn't it going to be hard?" she asked. After all collage would take a lot of time away from someone. Even more was that she heard the teachers a super strict. Maybe they were both being far too hopeful since part of her did believe what he said and nodded. Yeah, he can always come visit during the weekends.
Slowly the music stopped and the two took a bow. First there was silence but then clapping. The girl smiled once again but it wasn't a smile she usually held. It was rather an innocent looking one.
"Shall we do something else now?"
"Well I'm thirsty." she answered...somewhat. She walked towards the table and once she felt eyes off of her, she went to the bushes and followed it. There was no trail though but she knew where she was heading. It was her secret hiding spot. Once she made it she saw the ocean and beside it were boxes of sodas and some chips. She had hid all of the stuff she could collect right at that spot. She took the two cups out and poured some coke into her cup. She took a sip and sat down on the ground without really looking back if he partner had followed her or not.

"Who said I wasn't bored?" Kohaku eyed the eye patch man. "Hmmm... you look like an alcohol person... Do you get drunk really quick? Or do you drink like a bottomless pit and keep your bored-looking, sober self?" Kohaku picked up a few more sandwiches, stuffed them in her mouth, chewed, and swallowed.
"You know, if you laugh boredom goes away for a few seconds. Better than nothing, yes?" Or maybe that was just Kohaku's opinion. No laughter equals boredom which equals hell.

College. Ugh, how he dreaded that word. Of course he wasn't even planning to go to college, no he was striving for better, but it meant that his days would soon be numbered. Having to read over and adopt the business and extensively study other parts and such was tedious, something he didn't want but had to do. He had the option of taking a break every now and then (despite his initial impression he wasn't one to slack) but taking on a company would be a bore. "I can make time." He cryptically answered as he just looked and watched the stares fade and the clapping cease. Did people always have to clap after such things?
"Well I'm thirsty." He didn't pay mind at first, just looking around and keeping tabs, before finally turning and seeing a figure slink out of the ball. Son of a bit - she was good. Looking around in a discreet fashion he made his way over to the punch bowl, grimaced, before ducking and disappearing off to where her partner was. He had to give her credit - utterly ingenious. But wait... didn't this forest trail lead to that...
'Lake.' His mind finished off lamely as he walked on, 'Either it's just me but this is turning out to be one of those cheesy romances now.' Kuro gave a small laugh, shaking his head at the insanity of it all; this was nothing but a 'deal' type of thing, not romantic - he wasn't really into those at the moment either. "Yo, what do you have with you?"

The adult heaved a sigh at the student's eccentric accusations, somewhat amuse and another half annoyed, "You mean alcoholic; get your facts straight." He supplied, "And no, I'm not." He drank, yes, but not to infinite and oblivion. And just how the hell was she able to even get such an accusation from? Was she able to somehow read minds and infer things out of the bloody blue? Now she was suggesting to laugh.
Oh how he wanted to.
The irony and irritation of this whole situation baffled him, toyed with him, and mind f*cked him. Perhaps coming wasn't such a great idea but... well; his eyes moved forward to look at a particular couple who just finished dancing before he gave a slight smirk, this would be precious. "Don't feel like laughing so too bad. I'd rather be bored than be forced to do something."

"Well, gosh... I wasn't calling you an alcoholic," she said with a bit of a pout. And when she said 'alcohol person,' she meant if he drank alcohol or not."I was just curious about your drinking capacity." More sandwiches found themselves being chewed. Kohaku fiddled with her hat. "And I never meant to force yourself to laugh." She put her hands behind her back and closed her eyes. "I just think the world is better with laughing people. Plus, I think people who don't laugh are no fun at times."

"Caught...red handed too" Directed to: Kuro "Yo, what do you have with you?"
S***! Rikka was almost caught. She had even chocked on her beloved soda and had to hit her chest. She turned around and sighed in relief. Oh it was only Kuro. Well there goes the idea of magically coming back with soda and acting innocent. Dang it, she really wanted to see what the look on his face would had been. Oh well whatever, she'll surprise later on...somehow. She wasn't exactly sure of how to be honest but she'll do it somehow. Maybe by magic and by that she didn't mean magic tricks. Although she are quite fond of them but she never did take time to learn them. She was too impatient to learn how to. It was the same reason why she never learned how to cook as well.
"Nothing?" she answer or asked. She wasn't so sure herself, it just came out as it was the first thing she could think of. Why did she have to panic? There were much better answers out there. She rolled her eyes though and took a bite of her chip. "Just food and drinks." she continued. It wasn't like she was hiding stash of money. Heck why would she even need to do that? She was rich for the heck of it. Still she didn't really say anything else and just sat there on the grass.
Yep in the end he had followed her. She smiled as she stared at the lake. She had found it because she was lost and got lucky. It took her a while to find the way out but soon she found a teacher a bit far away from the lake. She never told anyone of it though, this was her secret hiding spot. At least it was anyway. So much for it being her little secret. "So did you get lonely without me?" she teased.
