Teito looked at Hakuren and his quickly rising temper. He felt a sharp pain in his heart and realized that he probably went too far. Placing his cup(with out any wholes in it) down, he slowly raised his head to look at Hakuren.
"Hey, umm I'm not really feeling too well. Someone must have spiked the punch, huh. Maybe I should just head back to the room first. You have fun okay. Don't worry a little sleep and I'll be fine in the morning, plus you've been waiting for this right. Stay and have fun, dance with a girl but don't drink the punch. It'll probably make you shorter." Teito said. For some reason he was unable to look Hakuren in the eye while saying this. He turned and headed for the door.

| "Well now, that is settled; may I blessed with knowledge of this beautiful butterfly of the evening's name? I am ever so eager to feel the tone roll off my tounge - someone as stunning as you are; I can only imagine a equally pretty name to match," Tamaki complimented Cheza, quite sincerely - what he said to his date and even the clients of the host club were never lies. The blonde mauve eyed second year offered his arm in a perfectly gentlemanly manner for his date to interlace hers' with before he casually led they way further down the path to the main event - taking their time to enjoy the scenery and stopping to smell the odd flower or two (although when Tamaki sniffed one he went into a sneezing fit). "Ah bless me," he excused himself politely, still managing to pull off the hay fever reaction in a most hansom manner if not endearing.

Late. Late. So late.
His chest was heaving, dress shoes pounding along the ground and coattails flaring behind him. He'd meant to leave the room with Axel, but he'd gotten held up on his way back from the beach and changing into a suit at record speed was a lot harder than Superman made it look like. Axel hadn't waited around, either, which Roxas hadn't expected--they'd both been looking forward to this, after all, and Axel couldn't be expected to know when he was getting back if he just popped off like he did. Even so, the last thing he needed was for his best friend to be feeling awkward or suffering alone. Axel was too vibrant a personality to really do that, but Roxas still worried--because he sometimes felt that way without Axel around.
He got to the Forest of Light and stopped, doubling over with his hands on his knees to breathe for just a minute, and discovered that he shouldn't have hurried. Plenty of people were still arriving, and there weren't that many mingling just yet, either. So, straightening his suit as best he could and doing what he could to rub he flush from his cheeks, he slipped into the flow and started maneuvering his way out of the crowd once he reached the central floor.
Orange hair caught his eye in the search for Axel, and he stopped short, blinking. Is. That. That's not a girl, he realized with a jolt. The boy seemed to be waiting on someone and relatively unaware of his outfit, though, so Roxas shook his head like he'd seen a mirage. There're some weirdos here.
Red dress--no--red hair, but not...another red dress--red suit--juice, hey, sweet--there! "Axel!" he called, slipping between a few other bodies to reach him, and one look at Axel's stance confirmed that he'd been awkwardly waiting off to one side. Man... Even if that almost made Roxas feel a little special.

Axel continued to stare at the trees lazily, a firefly buzzing past his face, making a lap around his head annoyingly before flying up and into the trees, then out to meet his firefly friends. He sighed, his eyes slipping shut tiredly.
He almost fell asleep standing up right there until he heard his name called, and he looked up abruptly, shaking the sleepyness off of him. He looked around for the source of the voice, seeing Roxas as he squeezed between the throngs of people.
"Hey, man!" He said as he walked forward some to meet him halfway, giving him the whole look-over, "I haven't been waiting too long, so don't rush yourself." He sighed a little, leaning closer to pluck a brown maple leaf out of the blonde spikes, "Now I almost feel bad about coming with you. All I have is this black shit and you look so nice and formal."

the absurdity of it all. directed to, rikka
He gave out a sigh (he was doing that a lot these days) and a couple mumbles of 'yeah, yeah' before looking down at his 'partner.' Well didn't she look... nice, he supposed. Oddly enough the two of them matched, somewhat, by having a theme of 'purple' somewhere on their person. For her it was bits and pieces of the dress and for himself his dress shirt. Meh, why the heck did he even bother noticing it. Then she whispered something, needing to bend down a bit, "Don't drink the punch." And a wink. What an odd turn of events.
Taking a side glance toward the table he saw the cups and a poor unsuspecting fellow pour some into said cup and splat - everything just spilled out. Ah. "Good job," the young man commented, "I hated punch anyway." It was disgusting and horrid and he stayed away from it as much as he humanly could. As the young lady led the way he simply followed her, ignoring the slight glances people gave, and the few whispers that drifted about, what did they know anyway? If any of these people were sons or daughters of business families then they should know that doing such things was not proper conduct and showed poor mannerism. He was taught to be disciplined in such occasions, most of them he didn't even bother on performing, but he knew when to draw the line. This included the punch; when given no other choice he had to gulp the crap down and hold in his gags until afterward.
"We could either talk or dance, whichever doesn't really matter." Kuro replied before fixing his gaze at her, "Though I suggest talk first and then dance, you know, to add some life to this boring event." All formalities were a bore, hence the reason why he hated attending, but perhaps he could get some laughs by the end of this one? After all the queen was just here and his own little trump card somewhere in the vicinity.

Cheza smiled softly towards him, her arm lacing with his offered one. "This one's name is Cheza." she introduced herself. She giggled as she heard him sneeze. "It's quite all right." she replied. She followed his lead to stroll around the area. It was quite lovely, Cheza had to admit. Being a flower herself, she had grown to admire them.

The silver-haired boy moved through the crowd with the barest hint of awkwardness that wasn't there before. The Riku from Destiny Islands had been all smooth confidence and aloofness, but now he slipped and slid like a shadow--because he knew how. Dances had never been his thing in the first places--the ones back home meant girls giggling and waving and trying to catch his eye, get his attention away from Kairi and Sora for a moment. If they'd thought she were a threat, some of them might have even targeted Kairi--but she was clearly focused on Sora. Regardless, Riku had been careful to remain single, if not innocent, mainly because no one in particular interested him.
There were plenty of new faces here, though, and he wasn't the only one with silver hair wandering the halls. A year or two ago that would have bothered him, but now...he really only wanted to hang out with Sora. Put the pieces back together. Go back to normal. Worry about everything else after.
He stopped short and did a double-take. ...Huh. That...girl...looks like a guy. He shrugged and moved on. After all, he'd seen far stranger and it wasn't polite to stare.
Riku took up a position on the far end of the clearing, tempted by the punch but losing interest when one of the cups tore right through and drenched one girl's dress. So he refrained and crossed his arms instead, casting aquamarine eyes about the crowd to look for Sora.

"Told ya" Directed to: Kuro Rikka eyed the teen has he scooped the punch only for it to escape the cup. She simply smiled at it, since he must had thought she did something to the punch. That was the thing with people, they rarely ever pay attention to the cups. It was a good thing that she decided to go screw the adding sugar plan. This one would be a lot more fun and it would be a bit harder to fix. Which means that she was causing trouble and well she was okay with it. It wasn't like she could get into trouble if there was no proof that she was behind it. Who knows maybe she could even blame someone. If that was the case though who should it be? Eh, whatever she'll decide on it later.
"We could either talk or dance, whichever doesn't really matter."
The queen knew that much. Still she nodded anyway. She's been to balls before. She scratched the back of her head for a moment wondering what would be the best thing to do. There was no music that left the two with one thing to do.
"Though I suggest talk first and then dance, you know, to add some life to this boring event."
Yep, they were on the same page alright. The teen just nodded at his words though. "Okay then." she smiled as she looked around. Once again she was reminded that she didn't really have any friends. One of the things about being a princess trapped in a tower. Sad really and someone she doubt that he had any friends but hey you never know right? "Do you know anyone fun to talk to? We could join them." she offered...although that was if they would actually not try to avoid them.

"No use apologizin' now." Valentine cut through, momentarily speaking to both parties, "What's done is done." And it was. He gave out a yawn, not even bothering to cover his mouth, and looked around once more. Well, there were more people now, and couples started dancing, and sweet nothings filling the air and about. Ugh, he hated sweet nothings, not romance just the words, and it was giving him a dreaded feeling all over. Of course his face betrayed none of this and he simply looked bored - which he still was.
"... you know him or not?" Was she still going on with that? Fixing the girl a stern gaze he peered at her from head to toe - why the hell was she carrying that darned hat anyway, and mind you, it wasn't even consistent with the current theme and her outfit. "If you're talking about the albino fourth year who pretty much has the same hair colour as you and likes to steal from me from time to time, then yeah, I know of him." He replied, "It's not hard to miss him, with his looks and all."

The eye patch-man yawned without covering his mouth. Kohaku mirrored the action as yawns were contagious. "No use apologizin'," he said. Kohaku smirked. Who said she was sincere?
"Damn, Mr. Grumpy..." she said pulling her hat down. "Do you hate the man or somethin'?" Kohaku closed her eyes and listened to little mutterings of couples. "Oh, someone kill me now... That is the worst thing I have ever heard."
Kohaku spun around and stopped once again turned toward the adult, matching his stern gaze. She flashed a quick smile that became noticeably fake at the end. "You don't like my hat, do you?" She spun around again. "Hmmm... Don't care if it doesn't match with anything. I'm here for free food, not for the looks." She licked the crumbs off her fingers left behind by a small sandwich she picked up and popped into her mouth. Kohaku wiped her lips and stared at the eye patch-man. Wiping off her lips with her wrist, she blinked.
"What would make you not bored? It's written on your face that even though you could have so many things to say, you're bored as hell."

Hakuren grabbed his arm as Teito dashed off. "Teito, you stupid... It's just a sandwich! I know you're lying, too." He pushed him toward the crowd. "Talk to people. It'll be a good experience for you." Hakuren laughed at Teito's face. Awkward and nervous. Typical Tetio... he thought.

Overdressing had been a problem, as Joshua had been slightly misinformed about the formality of the event and had spent the better part of the past week working on an outfit worthy of the emperor of Japan during the nights he waited for Minamimoto to fall asleep. Once he'd realized that, no, most of the students in attendance wouldn't be dressed like royalty, it had been a simple matter of finding the right moment to slip off to the city and order a suit.
He'd considered gloves and a timepiece, but given that he didn't want to look like an Alice in Wonderland cosplayer missing a pair of white rabbit ears he'd passed it up.
At any rate, Neku was right on time--and clad in a dress Shiki must have slaved over. How appropriate. It wasn't unusual for Joshua to see Neku--or be seen himself--wearing girl's clothing, although they weren't invisible anymore and Joshua was surprised that the boy had caved to his flighty friend's wishes. She certainly wasn't in attendance, so the only one to appreciate Neku's fashion sense would be Joshua.
And, of course, the rest of the school--but there were too many strange strangers taking up residence in the dormitories for Joshua to expect an event like this to go down in Chocolat' history.
Appearing out of nowhere actually wasn't a very impressive trick, as it relied solely on the individual's inability to pay attention to their surroundings, but Joshua made a habit of it anyway and took up a position at Neku's elbow. "Why, Neku. You look..." The pale-haired boy hid a smirk behind his hand. "...dashing. Really. Though I must admit after all your protests during the Game, I hadn't taken you for a crossdresser. Is all this for me~?" he asked with faux innocence, running a mildly possessive hand over Neku's shoulder in what was supposed to be a closer examination of Shiki's handiwork.

Neku growled a little, playing with the gold bangle on his hand. He hated Joshua being late...or too early. But the latter was much, much more rare. He took a glance around the room and realized so many people where stairing at him. What? What was wrong with a guy in a dress?! It was clothing!!
Though, he squeaked softly, frowning more as he looked up at Hoshua, "Shiki forced me, yelling at me for an hour straight." He hissed. Of course, that wasn't completely true. Yes, they argued for a good five minutes, but once Neku actually saw the dress...he kind of liked it. Of course, he fully hid that from his roomie, Koki. Such a lazy candy-whore that guy is...
"And I'm not a crossdresser!" he complainted, but he shivered slightly at the touch, cheeks tinted pink. Why the hell was he touching him?! He growled under his breath, standing, "Shiki's just persuading." He looked off a bit. He really...really didn't want to admit it, but Joshua actually...looked...well...good.

Mei had struggled putting on her dress. She wasn't used to wearing these things and didn't like to go to these occasions, but it was an experience worth going to. At least, that's what she told herself. Who knows? Maybe she'll even make a friend. She stood almost shy and timid behind a small grove of trees. Which wasn't exactly like her. But she definitely couldn't climb a tree in such a long flowy dress, and something about wearing it made her feel weird and different. And girly. She watched as someone unnaturally spilled punch over them, as someone freaked out at the sight of a spider, and Mei laughed. Spiders were freaky but they were cool. It was funny how people got so worked up over one.

Tsuki's first day at school was the Summer Ball. She's quite lucky, eh? Lucky to have not missed this event. She's not expecting much from this school as she only enrolled in a public school before but this event turned her opinions up side down. What school would have its own forest? She was thrilled when she heard that the ball would be held there. At least it's not those odinary balls that are held in a grand big room. A ball in the forest sounds kind of fun. But she's worried about one thing. Mosquitoes. Well, this school seems to be rich, they ought to have figure that matter out.
She waited patiently for the time to pass. There is no classes for her first day. She felt happy about her free holiday! True, she was sulking yet happy before her first day. Sulking because she'll have to go to school everyday, happy because she's, well, excited for her first day. She was notified there will be a ball and not prepared for it, she simply went to the costume or dress shop to pick out a gothic dress, blue in color that looked cute to her.
Because the time was moving real slow, she decided to take a nap. When she woke up, she's almost late for the ball. Quickly dressing up, she ran to the forest slowly. She doesn't need sweat, but thanks to the chill of the night, she did not. Basically, when she loved how the air is at night. Arriving the location, she became worried. No one she knew was here. She is all alone, sad, lonely when everyone is having fun. She walked towards a tree and laid on it, watching everyone having fun. She hoped someone would approach her, seeing as she's shy. She shouldn't have come to the ball. She felt like going back home. Maybe this place doesn't even want her? Shaking the thoughts away, she tried to walk towards any person that seems to be bored. But sadly, her legs won't move. She's scared, shy, whatever that prevents her from walking. Sigh, she'll just stay there until someone approach her.
"Someone please come....please....!!" She muttered softly to herself.
