Lien laughed softly. "Please... I'm not little house wife. Sure I can cook better than any five star chef... but screw all that cutesy little house wife work." she grinned and touched a strand of his silver hair. "Besides towels are for drying off and crap like that... not really something I would want my name on when you're wiping yourself off." she laughed. "Now his and her pillows I think are much nicer." she moved closer, her hand gently slipping into his. Lien knew what she wanted now, and she was no longer going to be shy about it. Lien was the jealous type when it came to being with Inuyasha. She didn't know why... she hadn't been with others but it was probably because of how well they had hit it off and also because that girl had made her feel it. She wanted it to be known that she was his, and that he was her's. She liked that they were at the ball together and matching... it seemed to make them look like an official couple. "So... are you going to ask me to dance or are you just gonna stand there and drool?" she teased him with a light smile.

A pale finger looped between the black collar and the soft skin of his neck, pulling it as far away as to allow breathing room. He didn't have many formal clothes and he wasn't about to try and break out the traditional Organization XIII cloak. That would just look so....out of place. Not to mention he never wanted to touch it again.
Axel toyed with the idea of taking off the collar...but then his outfit would look strange, with his exposed pale neck...
He let go of the collar with a sigh, watching as fireflies buzzed around. He shoved his hands in his pockets uncomfortably wondering when Roxas was going to show up. His date...
Woah.
They were going as friends, right? So...really it wasn't a date, right?
....Right?
He looked around at the people, boys and girls...girls in dresses, a boy in a dress (What the hell?!), boys in fancy tuxedos. Suddenly he felt really informal and uncomfortable. A kind of lonely, in a sense. He'd chosen a spot at the edge of the clearing, almost hidden by the flowers and trees. Except for his flaming red hair...he might have been totally inconspicuous. Well, he didn't want to be in plain sight...but hopefully his date would see him.

i spy with my lone eye. directed to : syaoran & kohaku
From all the people he could see, starting to pour in, he concluded that this summer ball would be interesting. For instance, there was a cross-dress; he had nothing against them, but to see one so boldly act in front of many students was something. Then there was the holes in the cups - who the hell in their freakin' mind did that, huh? Unfortunately, he didn't make the first move for the punch but some kid did - a brown haired boy who accidently splattered some contents to a girl nearby. Why the hell was she even wearing that hat anyway? One would think, after spending three years in the academy that the orange haired male would get used to the environment, but in fact he was still baffled by some things.
Not that he himself was also the average person anyway.
"Kid," he began after overhearing the other talk to himself, "I have no idea what the hell you're talking about but, this ain't no superstition - it's a prank." What was wrong with people these days? Spiking the punch would have been much better than poking holes into the damn cups; that was downright annoying, not hilarious.

the absurdity of it all. directed to, rikka
He was late.
As opposed to panicking, running around like a headless chicken, and bolting his way down the narrow path toward the far distant lights he did absolutely the opposite: he was calm and just kept an even paced walk toward his destination. He didn't really feel the need to immediately make his way there, surely his 'partner' could wait up just a bit. By no means was he in this predicament due to his poor judgment and colour coordination, he didn't really care much for his looks, but the reason lying in his terrible sleep pattern: he woke up at three in the afternoon. He didn't hurry at all to get ready, seeing as how he also had other things to do, but took his dear sweet time, thus making himself late by a good twenty to thirty minutes for the ball.
There was all night, no need to rush it.
Giving a slight growl the young man tried to pull his collar up, or closer to the middle, in hopes of hiding his neck. This was the main reason why he wore coats, but seeing as how this was a dance and he had to at least look presentable he had to make an exception. The bandages didn't look out of place nor real noticeable but the fact that they were there irritated him to no end. They weren't super visible, as mentioned before, but that wouldn't mean that he would escape being questioned by the girl he was going with. This sucked.

Selena had been about ready to doze off and the dance had barely began, but once she saw more people now arriving she quickly sat up stright. It was then she saw a familiar girl come her way and then stop,of all the people to approach her on this night it had to be Rikka. But this was a ball and she wasn't going to start trouble that's for sure, besides standing up to Rikka made her quiver and shake abit. She was scared and wasn't afraid to admit it,but when she commented about the dress Selena simply smiled but the next comment made her frown again. What did she mean unlucky, was she not aloud to have a date as well.
"Thank you Rikka yours is lovely too,but the young man I asked is none of your buisness".
She could tell Rikka was trying her hardest to be nice, but it was failing miserably. This girl just couldn't say something nice even with a sweet voice or smiling face, and now that more people we're here she wondered if Ciel has shown up yet.Her blue eyes scanning the crowd she couldn't spot him, sighing she wondered if he was even going to show up.But one familiar emerald haired man did catch her gaze, her roommate maybe she would go say hi since he seemed to be looking her way as well.
"Excuse me Rikka,I think i've sat long enough".
Rising from the seat she walked pass the girl, not glancing back and making a B-Line for her roomie.Even though he treated her like a brat she found him quite interesting, she glanced at all the other people who we're here.Blinking she noticed a person who seemed to have dog ears,a demon well you certainly did meet strange people at a party like this. She finally reached Envy and stood there admiring him for a moment,he did look quite handsome.
"For someone who goes through my things, you sure look dashing Envy". [/center]

"Better late than never I guess" Directed to: Kuro and a bit of Selena "Thank you Rikka yours is lovely too,but the young man I asked is none of your buisness".
What the? Did Selena just thanked her? Not so sure on what to say, Rikka stood there a bit speechless as the girl left. Her eyes trailed where she walked to and couldn't help but tilt her head to the side. Uhmmm, what just happened? She was utterly lost and confused. Did she just got transported to a parallel universe or something? She scratched her head a bit, but then sat down. She really didn't get it at all. She slowly shook her head, whatever, not like it was anything important. What's more important right now was the fact that she was bored. Utterly and completely bored. A sigh escaped her lips. How much was that by now? Three? Probably.
She slowly sat down on the chair. Hmph, a lot of people must be having fun right now. She rolled her eyes at that thought but soon spotted her date. It wasn't that hard to spot him really, not many people had white hair or wore purple for that matter. Well he didn't exactly wore what she had expected, mainly because there was nothing red. Strange. Why did he wore purple today? Well he had made himself but gentleman looking. Good thing he didn't wore a tux, she would had most likely burst out laughing. The image made her snickered a bit. Yeah, she can't really see him in a fancy party at all but he seems to have gone to those. After all he did mention cooperate parties.
She ran over to him and smiled. "Someone's late." she joked. After all she had expected him to be."Better late then never though right? Oh by the way." she started as she tiptoed up trying to get to his ears. "Don't drink the punch." she advised him with a small wink. A smile on her face the back of her shoes once again hit the floor. It was obvious that she had just pulled a prank. She didn't look at the punch nor at her stash. Don't want anyone to suspect anything after all.
She put he hands on the back of her head. Then she realized something. This was the first time she had went to a ball with someone outside the family. What do they do? They dance but there's no music and no one's really dancing. It's a bit too early to go for a drink. Uhmmmmm, the girl couldn't figure out what to do for a moment as she looked around. Most of them are talking to their friends but she didn't have any. Great, just great, she pretty much was clueless on what to do. "So what do you want to do first?" she asked hoping for him to decide.

Upon being addressed Syaoran turned and looked up, and up some more, at Vincent. He listened politely and then shrugged, crumpled up the cup and threw it in a nearby garbage. "Honestly?... My parents are idiots..." was his first reply. In his mind he was thinking that, yet again, his parents had blindly sent him somewhere to do something 'for the glory of the Li clan' without understanding the situation at all. He had been transferred to Chocolat to learn 'high society'... and now he was somewhere where people poke holes in cups for fun.
"With respect sir, I'd say next time just stick with the superstition theory. That'd save the school a bit of face in the long run. As foolish as it may be, it's not quite as foolish as admitting there are students here stupid enough to pull such a childish prank."
After having submitted his opinion Syaoran gave a quick bow to show that he truly meant it in all due respect.

"Yeah, who said I had to be lady-like just because I'm in a dress?" Kohaku laughed a bit. "As you can see, I'm not the most feminine female. Not even wearing make-up."
Kohaku looked around watching for other bored people. As she did so, some little short kid (how redundant) spilled punch on her dress. She glared directly at him. Not that she really cared, but having liquid on your dress and feeling that on your skin was not exactly of great comfort. "Dammit, kid, what is your problem?" Kohaku sighed and took a napkin to try and catch any moisture she could. Hopefully it would dry soon. "How is it that it ended up on me and not you?" She laughed a bit, thinking of the irony. Kohaku wanted to laugh at someone else for spilling punch on themselves, but the punch got on her.
As she looked around, Kohaku caught someone looking at her hat for a quick second. She decided to walk to him. He seemed to be a supervisor or some such thing. And he looked just about as bored as she did. "Hey, you. You got a problem with my hat?" There was something that seemed veeeeery familiar about him. "You seem quite familiar... You know someone named Kuro?"

Hakuren rushed to the party. Was he early or was he late? Teito was probably there already with Mikage the Fyulong. He entered the clearing and looked around. Seeing Teito with Mikage on his shoulder, Hakuren waved an arm to gethis attention. "Teito, you elementary school kid!" he called out to him. Hakuren immediately bit his tongue after saying that, though. He remembered that Teito probably never went to an elementary school.

//directed to no one in particular// Akane entered the clearing feeling very uncomfortable and out of place. She felt very awkward in the dress that she wore as she was not used to wearing such fancy things. The only reason that she decided to come was to observe human behavior at a social gathering such as this and she was already having second thoughts. She wanted desperately to know that someone who was not human was also here at this so-called " summer ball." Well, she was there... Might as well do what she came here to do - observe. She saw that most of the people already present did not know what to do with themselves, or with each other for that matter. Akane did not have a "date" herself, but saw others that were couples. She was confused as to why they were not dancing with each other. Did humans not know what to do at their own created "parties?" She also observed that the cups had holes at the bottom. And this is what they called "pranks." Was it normal to have these "pranks" at these parties?

Still sleeping he has this weird dream... there was an earthquake. He was unable to move anywhere. He was being crushed under a piece of concrete. Suddenly he heard someone calling out to him.
"Teito, you elementary school kid!"
"I'm not an elementary school kid!!!" He said
"Sure, whatever you say. You got to wake up now though."
Wake up? Am I asleep?
Teito opened his eyes and saw Hakuren standing over him with Mikage perched on his shoulder.
" Morning Sleeping Beauty"
,Hakuren said with a big smile on his face. Tieto blushed realizing that he had been asleep for how long? Probably an hour he thought. He stood up and looked around a lot more people had entered. There was a girl who was swearing at some kid... OK try and avoid her There was a boy standing by the punch and was trying to find a cup that didn't have wholes poked into the... Don't drink the punch
" Tieto!"
"Yes sir!" Tieto responded immediately going into a military stance. Hakuren started to laugh

Cheza's crimson orbs gazed at the blonde gentleman, a tiny blush painting her cheeks as she heard his first statement. A gentle smile creased her lips as she gazed at the flower before her, then turned to hear him speak again. She removed her hand from the flower and her smile grew. "This one would be honored." she spoke.

Hakuren laughed as Teito took his military posture. He put his hand on Teito's shoulder to steady himself. "Teito, you're not in the military anymore. This is what they call a 'party.' You are supposed to enjoy yourself at this 'party.' Do you understand me?" Hakuren gazed around the clearing and put his elbow on Teito's head just to annoy him. "Eat some food, dance with a girl." He leaned in close to whisper something. "I heard that it'll make you taller..."

Lavi leaned against a tree as he waited for Naryu Calibur, who had asked him to come, to arrive at the party. He wore a white dress shirt and black pants to go with it and black dress shoes. Lavi also wore a belt with his Anti-Akuma weapon strapped to it. You never knew if an Akuma would show up. He was especially careful now since there were so many people gathered in one place. An Akuma could get a real good killing spree out of this.

Nayru had entered the ball grounds, her pink dress slightly touching the ground below her. Her silver hair was tied up in a bun, some strands of her locks hanging down by the sides of her face. "Wow..." she whispered, admiring the beauty of the area. She noticed the red head teen leaning against a tree, smiling as she walked towards him. "Hey..." she greeted.
