Most people would be nervous when they were moved to a new room with a new stranger three years into schooling, but one girl was not nervous at all. In fact, this girl was creating ice beneath her feet and sort of skating on it. She giggled as she did a little spin, then continued to the door to her new room. Her red eyes stared at the door. This was going to be fun! She opened the door to her new room with the hand that wasn't holding her two suitcases, and she walked in, opting not to skate. She actually wanted to look normal to her new roommate, given that maybe him or her would might be freaked out by seeing a girl create ice beneath her feet. Oh this was so exciting! She hoped her new roommate like snow cones and lollipops, oh and being written on with sharpie. She also hoped that her new roommate wasn't the type who acted like they had a stick up their ass 24/7, she did not do well with uptight people.
When she finally decided to look around the room, she realized that she was the first one there. All the more time for her to pick which bed she wanted, sucker. She dragged in her two suitcases, and went to the bed she wanted. Haha, she probably got the comfiest bed of the two, oh well, you snooze you loose. She jumped on her bed, and once more peered around the room. It wasn't the most extravagant room and it wasn't big per say, but it was good enough for Kula. Kula didn't need much space, she wouldn't be spending too much time here anyways other then to sleep and shower and such. She sighed, but then smiled. She had a feeling this was probably going to be a boring place anyways, good thing she wouldn't be around a lot. But she did have to unpack her stuff.
Kula opened one of her suitcases, and surprise, it was full of lollipops. Her lips grew to a smile that was as wide at the moon, and she took one out. If she loved anything, she loved lollipops and if her roommate so much as touched her lollipops without asking her she would freeze them, among other things. She started eating her lollipop and giggled. She needed at least five lollipops to keep her mildly satisfied. She was in her own world now about how good this lollipop tasted. That was until her cellphone rang, she dug into the pockets of her purple jumpsuit and picked it up.
"Hello? ... Oh hey Uncle! ... No my roommate isn't here yet, so I am enjoying a lollipop... I promise I won't get a cavity... don't worry about me Uncle, I have been fine for twoyears, I will be fine now. Listen, I will call you later, my roommate will be here soon. Bye Uncle!"
She took the cellphone from her ear and flipped it closed. Her uncle could be so annoying, but she knew he was only very concerned about her well being. She was an odd girl after all, and he was just worried she would be bullied or teased. Not that would have mattered, she could freeze someones mouth shut in a few seconds. But she let the thought slide as she continued to lick her lollipop, sitting om the edge of her bed. She was getting bored now, when would her roommate arrive? She needed someone to talk to and possibly draw on, oh and make snow cones for! She wouldn't be doing that often though, as she was sure she wouldn't be here often enough to... unless her roommate was cool enough to make her stay around more. She then started thinking out loud to herself.
"I wonder what my roommate will be like. Maybe they'll be relaxed and easygoing, unlike that other roommate. Oh, I wonder if they like lollipops and snow cones too! And why are they torturing me by not being here yet? I am so bored! I want to be entertained
She finished her lollipop, tossing the stick in the trash can nearby and crossing her arms afterwords. This was annoying her. She hated being isolated, or by herself. She craved being around other people and she already felt like going insane being alone as it was. She felt a pout forming, time for another lollipop! She reached in her suitcases of lollipops and grabbed yet another one. She started licking this lollipop, and pouting at the same time. She would stop pouting and be happy when her roommate arrived, Hopefully the person didn't find her too annoying or too childish... or too weird for making snow cones all the time and constantly eating lollipops. She sighed as she waited, continuing to eat her lollipop.

Ian blinked as he looked down at the floor. It was wet, soaked even, like there had been water spilled, or somebody had left ice their. He shrugged and merely walked beside the water, flying over it in some places where it crossed the floor. He shifted slightly from foot to foot as he walked, not sure about having a new roommate. He had been alone in his rooms all of his years here at the school, but suddenly, he had been assigned a roommate, in the coed dorms no less. He hadn't expected that, not at all, especially not now that he was the vice-president of the student council.
Ian shook his head. "No, no, you shouldn't think like that... you're no more special than anyone else here" He was whispering to himself slightly. He didn't want the power to go to his head, and it hadn't, so far. Besides, having a roommate would be fun, and a change. And it could be a girl, or a boy. The idea was interesting really, he'd never heard of a school having coed dorms before, but he wasn't complaining. No matter who it was he would be nice to them, they would just have to operate differently based on whether his roommate was a girl or a boy, either way it didn't matter to him.
Ian walked up to the door, and to his surprise, the water led all the way up to the door. His roommate had been the one that left the water there. That would... make things interesting. He hoped it was melted ice, and not some kind of water being. He always had a thing about water, he couldn't explain it, but, it frightened him to some extent. If he was in a pool he was fine, but the ocean and people who could control it made him very worried. Ian shifted from foot to foot again and lifted his bags up, opening the door to the room and stepping inside, a bright smile on his face.
As he walked in he spotted his roommate, a girl, and she hadn't brought any sort of water inside the room with her, that was good. As he walked in he looked over at her. "Hi there, I'm Ian." He put his stuff on his bed as he spoke, sitting down on it and looking at her again. "It's nice to meet you, and nice to have a roommate for a change." He noticed the lollipop in her mouth, but decided there was nothing bad about that, or anything weird about it either. "I'm the vice-president of student council too, and a fourth year, yourself?"

"OH, ROOMMATE!
Kula almost jumped off the bed when she saw a figure walk in the room. She giggled insanely, and clapped her hands together while holding her lollipop. She watched him walk over to the other bed, and she giggled more. Poor sucker had to get the crappier of the two beds, but now she felt selfish... Kula almost got up, dragged her crap to the bed her was on, and make him sit on the one she had claimed. But for now she remained where she was at, and she continued to eat on her lollipop as she heard him introduce himself. So his name was Ian, he was a fourth year, and vice president of the student council, not bad, not bad at all. Kula decided she should introduce herself , as it would be rude not to. But at the same time she continued to eat her lollipop, not wanting to stop.
"My name is Kula Diamond, but just call me Kula! I do nothing special, and I am a third year!
When she told him what year she was in, she held up three fingers on the hand that wasn't holding her lollipop. She was such a child compared to how he was acting. She then pulled her suitcase a little closer to her, keeping her lollipops near by, she would offer him one sooner or later, but just one to start. If he wanted another one she would give him one, she was too nice to deny him, or anyone for that matter. But for now she wanted to know more about him, she was so excited! She finished up her lollipop, and once more threw the stick away in a nearby trash can. Opting not to take another lollipop, she bombarded him with questions.
"So where do you come from? What are your hobbies? Whats your favorite food? Wat did you do before you came here? Oh whats your favorite color?! I am sorry I am bombarding you with questions, but I am curious, tell me about you!"
Kula loved hearing about other people. She was not so much interested in talking about herself to other people, she found it more fun to listen to people, she found it so interesting how other people were and what they have been through, and of course knowing their favorite food! She really felt she knew someone once she knew their favorite food, don't ask why, that's just how she was. She kicked her legs lightly against the edge of the bed as she tried to think of more questions to ask him. As she waited for his response, she had formulated more questions in her mind. She was going to wait for him to answer her other questions and tell her more about himself...but she couldn't wait! So she went on asking her new questions.
"So do you like ice? I am an ice user! So do you like snow cones, cause I make a lot of them! Oh and do you like sharpies? I love sharpies! Sharpies and lollipops, oh do you like lollipops? OH speaking of lollipops!"
Kula reached into her nearby suitcase of lollipops and picked out what looked like the most colorful and tasty one, and pulled it out. He must have thought that she was going to eat it, after all she had just gone through a lollipop in a matter of minutes, but no, she was going to give it to him. She extended her arms forward, holding the lollipop in her hand towards him. She smiled sweetly as she held the lollipop in front of him. She assumed he would take it and not deny her, but anything could happen. At least she wasn't shoving it in his face and forcing him to take it. She didn't say anything for a moment, but then she finally spoke.
"Do you want a lollipop? I have a lot of them, so you can always just ask for one.

Ian let out a light laugh as he heard Kula yell about him being her roommate at first. She definitely seemed like a hyper girl, which he wasn't going to mind at all. As she introduced herself, Ian kept eye contact with her so he wasn't being rude, and then looked around the room. It was nice, wasn't too big, wasn't too small, and they both had plenty of room for if they needed or wanted their space, not that Ian needed a lot of space, but if she did, she could have plenty of it. So... she was a third year. That made things a bit more interesting. He would be rooming with somebody younger than him, that meant unless he somehow managed to come back as a teacher the next year, she would be getting a new roommate. Of course, students weren't supposed to room with teachers either, Ian shook his head and eliminated the thought from his head, it wasn't important.
As she began asking all of her questions, Ian raised an eyebrow. My there were a lot of things she wanted to know about him. He would, of course, answer them, but he had to think about them for a little bit before he could just answer them, he didn't have all of these things written down on some card somewhere. He wanted to give honest answers, since that was simply the king of person he was, there was nothing more to it than that, other than the fact that he hadn't thought about a few of them in awhile. As he was about to answer, the girl bombarded him with even more questions for him to answer, and he chuckled slightly, thinking about the new questions as well, they were all good things to know about people for sure. He looked up as she put a lollipop out in front of her, he had noticed her eating one before when she threw it away, apparently she really liked them, because she had produced another one and was offering it to him. Ian took it from her and smiled. "Sure I'll have one, thank you very much Kula."
He paused for a moment and then nodded. "Okay... so... I'm from a place called feudal Japan, where demons of all sorts live. As far as hobbies go... I like to spar and joke around a bit, but I don't mind doing whatever anyone else wants to do. My favorite food? That's a really tough one." As he finished the sentence he put the lollipop in his mouth, and, it was really good. "I'd have to say it's either steak, or this lollipop for sure. Before I came here I was a demon who wandered around helping others, sneaking around towns, making sure other demons didn't destroy them. My favorite color is blue, definitely blue. I don't mind Ice, fire is my preference, but I like Ice I suppose. Snow cones are really good, sharpies are pretty useful and can make some great art, and yes, I like lollipops."
Ian grinned at her for a moment. That was all of the questions she had asked. "And don't worry about asking the questions, because, guess what, I want you to answer the same ones you asked me!" He said it with a silly grin on his face, and in an extremely enthusiastic voice that for some reason everyone would just have to love. It was one of his gifts sometimes. He made friends easily because of it too. "And thank you for the offer of sharing your lollipops, I will definitely keep that in mind the next time I need sugar or something, or just a sweet taste. You know, lollipops can be pretty helpful if you ask me."

As Ian answered the question, Kula literally was jumping up and down on the bed. Yes... she was quite the hyper one. She listened intently, she didn't plan on forgetting any of this, she was good in terms of memory. She giggled as he said he liked the lollipop he gave her. Score one for Kula, she had done something good! Okay, so he came from feudal Japan, he liked to spar and doing what other people did, he liked steak and lollipops, he was a demon...interesting, she didn't mind K' was literally two people in one, why the hell did she care? He stopped other demons from being mean, his favorite color was blue, he didn't mind ice, he liked snow cones, and he thought sharpies were useful! Yay! But when she heard she had to answer the same questions, she giggled more.
"Okkkkayyyy, let's see!"
Before she could answer her questions, she had to get another lollipop. Other then the three main meals of the day all she ate were lollipops. She took the one she was going to eat out of it's wrapper, and she started eating it. Lollipops also helped her think. Her craving of sweets happened after she escaped NESTS and tried sweets for the first time. Ever since, she was addicted to it, especially her lollipops, it was like Kula's personal version of crack. She continued eating the lollipop, thinking about how to answer the questions. Eventually she formulated answers in her mind, and she took the lollipop out of her mouth as she started to answer the questions.
"Well, I originally came from a laboratory but I lived with Uncle and K' in Japan for a while. Oh and Uncle really isn't my Uncle, I just call him Uncle. I like to make snow cones, ice skate, eat lollipops, and annoy my friend K'... oh and spar sometimes, but K' is the only fun person to spar with. My favorite food is lollipops, but if you mean meal food it's Mac and Cheese!"
Kula took a little break for a few moments as she checked over her next answers in her mind. She had really passed the hard part, talking about where she came from and what she liked to do and what her favorite food was. Favorite color, if she liked snow cones, what she did, and if she liked sharpies and lollipops was easy stuff. Well, what she did before wasn't exactly easy. What she did before is hard to explain, with what she did with NESTS and how she came upon K' and Uncle and left NESTS, however she would leave the NESTS part out... or maybe shorten it. Well she would think of it when the time came, and she continued to answer.
"My favorite color is blue, and um... before I came here I traveled with Uncle and K' and entered some fights, but nothing major. Of course I love ice, I am an ice user duh! I make snow cones, so obviously I love them and I love sharpies, I draw on people with them! I am sure the lollipop question is self explanatory."
Finally, Kula was done. She had answered all the questions she asked him. She clapped her hands for herself. She smiled wide when he thanked her for the lollipop and she continued eating the one she had stopped eating to answer the questions. Mmmm, lollipops! Uncle and K' had tried giving her a lollipop intervention once, didn't work to well. She bit Uncle and froze K's arms and legs so he wasn't able to move to stop here. Yeah... she was just a little obsessed with eating her lollipops. Uncle was always worried she would get a cavity, but she had been fortunate so far. She giggled, and decided for now not to ask anymore questions.
"I love to share, so of course, feel free to have as many as you'd like. You seem like a nice guy anyways. My last roommate was, pardon my language, an asshole. So it's a relief to have a nice roommate for a change."
Kula smiled at Ian, trying to seem friendly, not that she had to try she was just naturally friendly. She finished up her third lollipop and threw the stick in the garbage can. Okay, no more lollipops for a while, she kept telling herself over and over again. She needed to stop eating lollipops every ten minutes or so or she would get a cavity and Uncle would have a reason to scold her and tell her he was right. She wrinkled her nose at the thought, but instead she decided to ask one more question. What the question was, well Ian was about to find out as she continued to smile.
"So your the vice president of the Student Council, you must be a pretty popular guy. So I assume you have a girlfriend right? Is she pretty?"

Ian smiled at her, still sucking on the lollipop as she began to think about, and answer, her own questions. He liked to savor his lollipops, and he had never been able to eat them nearly as fast as he had seen this girl eat them. It was actually very impressive that she could eat them so fast. Ian nodded as she gave her answers. He wasn't sure what she meant by coming from a laboratory. She could have been made there, or simply worked there. He didn't know, but he didn't really want to ask in case there was some bad memory about that place. It would be bad for him to bring it up if she hated he place and never wanted to return ever. He would make an enemy that way not a friend, and he wasn't looking to make any enemies, that wasn't really his thing. After all, he didn't get to be vice president by making a ton of enemies everywhere. He was a generally nice guy, and most people knew him, and knew they could trust him.
"Oh, well, we have the same favorite color! Isn't that great! Oh, and, I'm a fire user. But as far as drawing on people go I don't really do that, with sharpies or anything else... but if you draw on me I'll draw on you back I think." Ian winked and chuckled, just laughing and making a joke out of it. "Do you like fire? Heat? Warmth? I don't really know if you would since you're an ice user, and, well, to be honest, I haven't really met any other ice users before, so I don't really know what they like. I dislike water because of... well, I don't know why, but people have their likes and dislikes, so I'm just curious as to if you're comfortable with me being somebody who wields fire, when you wield ice." Ian was rambling a little bit, but he did that occasionally.
As he listened to her comment about her last roommate and how she loved to share, he smiled again. "Oh, well if I have anything you need or want than feel free to ask, I like to share too, so my stuff is pretty much always open to you if you need it, just ask first, and I'll most likely say yes, unless it's something really important... oh, and personally, I don't really consider myself an asshole, but... if for some reason I start to become one, than feel free to just get up and leave and go find another roommate if you want one, I don't mind, I'd understand." He wasn't trying to say that he wanted her to leave, because he didn't. He was just trying to be nice and saying that if she didn't like him she would be able to get out of it without any fuss from him.
Ian finished his lollipop a little bit after Kula asked her question. He had to admit he was pretty surprised by it, and hadn't seen it coming. He only hoped the surprise didn't show on his face. Truth be told, he didn't have a girlfriend, and he hadn't had one the whole time he was at the school. He didn't know why, he just, didn't. He needed to get over his past. He was in a new place now. He shook his head at Kula. "No, no I don't. I guess you could consider me popular, I have a lot of friends, I like to make friends, but I don't have a girlfriend, so I couldn't really tell you if she was pretty or not, but I'm sure if I had one I would tell you she was pretty, and she would be, I wouldn't be lying when I said that." He shrugged "Do you have a boyfriend? I'm sure you do, I bet he'll be jealous you're rooming with another guy too."

Kula smiled as he talked about having the same favorite color, it was great indeed. And the part with writing on people made her giggle. So he wouldn't be one to understand Kula's love for drawing on people. Usually when someone was grumpy or sad, while they were sleeping she would draw a smile on them... and sometimes other things, like mustaches and such. It was supposed to make the person laugh when they woke up, though Kula had her fair share of people who woke up ready to beat the crap out of her because of it. She moved her hair of of her eyes, and then giggled some more as the sharpie comment.
"Ha, if you draw on me, I just draw on you back, and circle will just have to keep repeating."
Kula eyed her lollipops and resisted the urge to take one. She must not take one, she was in control, she wouldn't let her sweet tooth take over her. Luckily him asking her about heat and talking about his dislike of water distracted her from the lollipops. Wow, he must be a mind reader or something. But then again, almost everything was distracting to her, so she really didn't have much room to talk about being distracted. She had to think. She both liked and disliked heat, but how to explain it. She thought about it for a moment, then settled with what her explanation would be, and she started to say it out loud.
"Oh well, I do and don't mind heat, fire, and such. I don't mind it when it's warm outside, warm enough to go swimming or when I am so cold I need the heat and warmth. I just don't like it when it melts my ice for ice skating, and when it melts my snow cones"
Kula frowned at the thought of her snow cones melting. She loved snow cones almost as much as lollipop, and when they melted she got horribly sad, especially if it was a strawberry snow cone, those were her all time favorite snow cones! But putting that aside, he was a fire user huh? Well this would prove interesting. Maybe that was probably why he disliked water. That was to be expected. But what caught her as a surprise was that he didn't have a girlfriend. K' told her that all the popular kids had super pretty girlfriends who were complete bimbos and, she forgot what the other word K' used was, so she let it go. The comment about her having a boyfriend, she laughed.
"Oh no, I have never had much of an interest in any guy, plus my friend K' is always around, and we're like siblings so he literally threatened any guy who ever thought about dating me. But I am surprised you don't have a girlfriend, I was told all popular guys had pretty girlfriends who were bimbos."
Kula rolled her eyes at the comment about K' threatening every guy that liked her, K' was like an overprotective big brother... well, kind of because Uncle told him to be that way. She was still surprised that Ian didn't have a girlfriend. So does that mean what K' told her was wrong? She shrugged mentally, K' was wrong a lot of the time, even if he just didn't want to admit it. She tried to think of what else to ask, what else to say, and she was drawing blanks. She could ask him about student council, but that would get boring fast. She could talk about something, oh she didn't know! She sighed, and her eyes got sad, and she looked at Ian.
"I must be horrible with conversation, I have no clue what else to talk about."

Ian watched her as she spoke, laughing and smiling as she said things. She was certainly a funny person, and he liked that. He didn't want to have to room with somebody dull, and he also didn't want to have to room with somebody who was an asshole, and Kula clearly was not. He started laughing when she said that she would keep drawing on him and that the circle would continue to repeat itself. That would certainly be an interesting event if it ever happened. "Well... if you're going to draw on me with a sharpie, and then I'm going to draw on you back, and then you're going to draw on me again, and then it's going to repeat itself, we'll end up covered in sharpie pretty much all the way, hope you don't mind too much permanent marker, because it's going to end up that way if we ever get into one of those sharpie wars." Ian was laughing as he spoke, the thought of such a war was comical by itself, without the war really ever having to take place for it to be funny.
Ian nodded when she started talking about whether she liked or disliked fire. He could understand that. He hated water for many reasons, but he hated it even more when it doused his fire or got his wings so that he couldn't fly, so it made sense that she would hate fire at times. Luckily he wasn't ever going to need to use fire in the room, and even if he did he could keep the heat plenty far away from her and her ice if he needed to. He blinked, he had never met somebody who got mad when their snow cones were melted, if they made them. But it made sense to an extent. It was her creation, and nobody liked for their creations to suddenly be destroyed by whatever force happened to cause it.
Ian blinked at her, surprised that she had been told that. Of course not all popular people had girlfriends, some might not want any. He knew quite a few people who preferred to be single. He wasn't sure what he preferred at this point, he just went with whatever came his way really. "Erm.. well... uhh... I see, I can understand K' being protective of you like that, it makes sense to me. But uhh.... you were told wrong, that's for sure. Not all popular guys have girlfriends, I don't. And! Even if I did, I can assure you she would not be a bimbo thank you very much. Not every popular guy follows that stereotype, in fact, very few do. I... well, I won't get into what kind of girl I'd prefer, because that's not important."
He shook his head slightly and took a breath as he finished what he was saying. "Oh... and you're not bad at conversation, really, I mean sometimes people just run out of things to say to each other. But, before we run out, what exactly do you like to study? Anything in particular? Math? Science? Anything like that? And how long have you been at the school anyway? I guess three years, but sometimes they just put you there based off of age, so I had to ask." He shrugged and then looked around the room again, figuring he should probably start unpacking, since he hadn't gotten a chance to do that just yet.

Kula just smirked at his addition to the sharpie comment. A never ending circle until both of them were covered in sharpie, that would be a sight to see indeed. But knowing Kula, she wouldn't even give up then anyways, like they would have to be completely covered in order for her to give up, unless he surrendered leaving her to win the sharpie war. She was never one to give up, she had been taught better then that, unless it was for the good of others anyways. Uncle had drilled it into her head a long time ago, then again Uncle and K' had drilled a lot of things in to Kula's head... the poor girl. But she giggled for the time being, why not? It would be a pretty funny sight after all. Kula had never been covered in sharpie marks before, most times when she drew on people they got made at her and usually chased her, threatening her. She always managed to get away though.
However she tilted her head at the girlfriend comments. So K' had lied to her! Ohhhh, when she saw him she would beat him, she didn't care if Uncle got mad about it or not. She was never really hostile towards K' except for times like these. Well, maybe that's what it was like when he was attending school. Wait... did K' ever attend school? She tried to think back on all K' told her about his life, and she drew a blank... hm... maybe he didn't, that little liar, he probably wanted her to stay away from the popular guys at Uncle's command, oh they both sucked. But she let it drop as she looked at Ian and nodded, she could see where he was coming from.
"Oh he was probably being protective at Uncle's command again, wanting me to stay away from guys. I swear. But I can see where you are coming from. If I was a guy I wouldn't want a bimbo girlfriend either, and besides, popular guys could get better anyways. So I seem to notice."
Kula nodded a bit, that's what she thought and she was sticking to it. She still felt bad for not knowing what exactly to say, after all she seemed to be loosing topics to talk about. But she got lucky, he had things in mind to talk about. So, he wanted to know what in particular she studied and how long she had been here. She was curious to find out what he would say when he answered back. But for now she might as well answer those questions, not hard ones at all. She smiled, he would soon find out how childish she really was.
"Well, I study everything that isn't boring, so anything but math. I hate math, I fall asleep and then I get detentions all the time, I stopped going to math, yuck. And I have been here for just that, three years. Been there since I was 14!"
She smiled sweetly. Yeah, that was Kula for you. She was the girl that hated uptight people and being bored. Being the hyper girl she was she constantly needed to be on the go and she constantly needed to be doing something that amused her. So if Math didn't amuse her, damn right she wouldn't go. But why think of that as a bad thing? Kula was a darling angel after all. She really wasn't someone who looked to get in trouble, she was actually very nice and liked to avoid trouble, though it always seemed to find her. She got up off the bed, standing up and stretching.
"Well, I should probably start putting what little I have away, you should unpack too. Don't worry, I won't be here often enough to make this place a mess."
She walked over to the unopened suitcase that belonged to her. She bent down and opened it, inside were only three or four extra outfits. Yeah, she didn't bring much. After all she washes the outfit she wears that day the same night after she takes it off and gets into pajamas. She had two pairs of pajamas, also of which she washed right after she took them off. This was literally all the clothes Kula had, or ever had. Uncle hadn't bought her more, and she didn't have enough of her own money to go shopping for more clothes. So she worked with what she had. She took out her three or four outfits and she walked over to her dresser, and put them in. She then looked back at Ian and smiled.
"You know, we should hang out sometime, and I don't mean in this small little dorm room, I mean like actually hang out! I like making new friends, so maybe that way we will be friends!"
