(Ha...sorry for the title. I have a habbit of naming things after song titles/lyrics XD)
Gentle sea breaze blew and ruffled the small amout of hair sticking out from under the boy's hat. Clad in a simple outfit of shorts and a t-shirt, he was ready to be lazy and relax for once. It's been years since he could sit on the beach and play his acoustic guitar. A sweet, gentle melody that flowed through the air so gently, though in a fitting way. His long fingers quickly and skillfully played on, a content expression on his face as he closed his eyes. Music was his sanctuary above all--any type--and he could play it for hours and hours, even days, on end.
But of course, he hated playing in public. But it seemed like there was only a hand full of people at the beach today, and they where kind of far away...

Kohaku cupped her ears. She thought she heard a little melody being played somewhere far off. It sounded nice and she wanted to know where it was coming from. People looked at her like she was crazy as she walked passed. Who wouldn't? She was wearing a baggy t-shirt, shorts, a cap, and a scarf. . . . A scarf.
She walked around a bit following the sound. Finally, the source was found. It was a boy playing an acoustic guitar. Kohaku kept her distance, content with just listening and not actually speaking to the player.

His ear twitched slightly, sencing someone else's presents. He clamed up and guitar faultering in sound. "Aw..." he whined, sighing, "I can't do anything.." His charcoal eyes glanced over at the girl in the distance and he blushed terribly.
Yuuichi tightened his grip on the guitar as he looked down, hat hiding his face, "I- um..." he mumbled, not sure why the newcommer was watching...listening...

The music stopped. It seemed as if the guitar person noticed she was there. That was a disappointment. Kohaku wanted him to continue to play.
Should I leave so he'll keep playing or should I go up to him? Kohaku wondered.
The decision was to walk up to him. And she did just that. She sat behind him a few yards away, staring at the boy with her amber eyes.
"Keep playing. . . . Please..."

Yuuichi blushed slightly more. Continue playing? He had to admit, his playing was quite supurb, it was in his DNA after all...but to actually get an audiance, "O-oh I'm sorry Miss..." he whispered, looking down at the guitar, "I'm not really that good though."
He fidgeted sightly, blankly plucking the strings. He was nervous...he only really played for one girl before in his life...and she was his enemy and he didn't even know it! "I'm kind of...well...pathetic..."

Kohaku continued to stare. "Kohaku, not 'Miss.'" Pathetic playing my foot, she thought.
"Don't say you're pathetic I know you know you're lying I know lies well But I don't know what rhymes with lying."
Spur of the moment poetry... "Sorry about that," Kohaku said fiddling with her scarf. "It's my habit. But I do actually know what rhymes with 'lying.' Just nothing that fits." Kohaku paused for a bit, staring again. "Anyway, I know good music when I hear it." She pointed to herself with her index finger. "I'm a musician myself."

He yelped softly, blushing deeper, "S-Sorry, Kohaku." he mumbled softly, though offered a gentle smile. "It sounded nice though." he offered.
He gently started playing again once he relaxed again, "I'm no musician...I just...play guitar...it's natural and runs in the family." he explained quietly, smiling softly, "So...you play music too? Like what?" he asked curiously, gentle notes still streaming along perfectly...never faultering again.

The boy started to play again.
That's better, she thought.
"Ah, well, I couldn't care less if my poetry sounds good or not..." Kohaku returned a little smile. "It's just something I do."
She sat there without saying anything to listen before answering his other question. She let the music flow through her ears and all over her body while sitting on the sand motionless, a small almost unseeable smile on her lips. "Music I play... Well, I play a lot of different types. It's all on the violin and piano though."

Yuuichi smiled softly, occasionally glancing up at the girl. She seemed nice...and like nobody he's ever met. "Violin and Piano...sounds nice." he said quietly, abruptly stopping as one of the strings cut his finger.
"Ow!" he hissed, sucking on the lightly bleeding cut, "Uhg...think I'd have callouses by now..." he mumbled to himself, sighing.

The boy cut himself on the finger. Kohaku was readily attentive. "I have something for that!" She did, after all, carry around "The Bag That Has Everything." She rummaged in the bag that she always brought around with her until she found what she was looking for. Kohaku held it out to him. "Here."
She handed him a bandage and a little paper towel to wipe off the blood and dry off his finger before he put on the bandage. "I don't know your name," Kohaku pointed out.

Yuuichi watched as she rummaged to the bag. He was shocked when he was handed a rag and bandage, "Oh...thank you.." he whispered.
He gently wrapped the bandaid on his finger, "O-oh! It's Yuuichi." He replied softly, offering a grin.

"Yuuichi..." she said thoughtfully. "Yuuichi..." Kohaku rolled it around on her tongue, feeling how the syllables worked in her mouth. "Nice name..."
Another thought entered her head. "Hey, you ever play in the city? I do street performances sometimes even though I like playing alone, too. Helps earn some pocket change. But I haven't done any performances since I transfered here, though..."

Yuuichi smiled sheepishly, blushing a little as she said his name. Kind of sounded nice comming from her mouth...even if his name was so very...common. But he decided to pick back up on playing.
"The city..." he echoed thoughtfully, "I've never went to one. I grew up in a relitively small town in Japan," he mumbled, "Besides, I could never be brave enough to play for an audiance..." Yuuichi blushed a little more. It wasn't like he needed money either-- the people in the Gitallines gave him alot of money after he deafeted Zowie and saved them...

"Hmm... Well, you should probably visit the city around campus some time," Kohaku said. "I plan on going myself at some point, but I don't like buses... Too many people..."
Of course, she could walk and use the bridge. But she didn't have time for a two hour hike there and back with time for playing in between.

"Well um...m-maybe...Er- I don't know..." he mumbled nervously, "We could...go together?" he offered quietly, looking over at the girl. Yuuichi smiled sheepishly, "I mean...we don't have to...it's just an offer-" he sighed a little. Darn his awkwardness!
