Rikka laughed at the look on his face not even caring whether it was lady like or not. It was funny that awkward stare. Soon though she was able to recover herself. Although the image would most likely stay in her head for a while but who can blame her? That face on a carefree guy was what she considered priceless. She felt some pair of eyes on her that didn't belong to their table but ignored them. What, she just laughed sure it was pretty loud but it wasn't like she was eating their food. Geez, it's called having a fun time. Stupid grownups always being so formal and everything tot he point where they might as well be clones.
"Would you allow me to escort you to the summer ball, Miss Iramaki? Hopefully we'll have a grand time, or at least put on a spectacular show for your servants to see."
Yeah she had a feeling that formality was a bit of a mock but she had to admit, she does like it. Just to go screw the formality one day or just make fun of it in an adult's presence. "Sure Kuro. You know what just for that your get a promotion. From now on you're my butler." she stated with a nod. She was having a lot of fun today. Going screw school was something she would never regret. She started on her crepe for a moment and took a bite. The sugar power was her favorite part and the reason why was pretty obvious as well but the powder alone was not what she would say good.
"You don't have to wear anything formal though. Or else you'll be just like them and be boring. So I guess just be yourself for that day." she stated as she took another bite. After all she didn't want him in some black butler like suit or anything. Just casuals or whatever he would usually wear. Since if he tries to act all formal he would be just like everyone else and her interest in him would just drop which was obviously not a good thing. After all she was a queen and if she lost interest in him she could just go ahead and make him back into one of the servants.
Well so much for the idea of going with her brother now. She got herself a date. She took another sip of her shake and silently wondered to herself what he was going to wear then. Most likely what he was wearing today. Lucky guy, he could wear whatever he wanted. Her parents wanted her to be in that stupid white dress. She wanted to wear her red one since it had her favorite color on it but she knew that if she did she would get in trouble. Why did they want a picture to go along with it?
"Hmm, you want to go get a lighter after this?" she asked remembering how he had asked her for one a lot before this.

the morning horizon,His mop of white/silver hair shook in agreement for both her statements. He was definitely going to get a lighter, and maybe something for his brother if it caught his eyes, and by all means he would definitely be not wearing some formal shit. He knew how to tie a tie, yes, how to put on tuxedos and whatnot but honestly, why bother with all that crap? It was probably that part of him that set the ladies away, probably implying that he had 'no tact' whatsoever but he actually did have some formality in him. Not many knew where he came from, seeing as how he didn't really talk much about himself, much less act like an arrogant prick or something. For sure he knew that the girl in front of him came from a prestigious family, with the dress and all, but the way she carried herself alone was enough to signify this. He, on the other hand, seemed nothing more than a no-good rebel with terrible sense of manners; it didn't even hint of anything in regards to his real background.
"I plan to go semi-formal; there is no way in hell I'm gonna be dressed in a tux underneath layers of coats, uncomfortable shoes, and a top hat; that fashion sense belongs more for corporate parties." Those were boring, usually consisting of getting shoved from person to person, introductions, sneaking some desserts into one's mouth, trying to escape, and etc. He felt fairly bad for his brother, who was probably being subjected into that more often with his absence, though soon enough that would be over. Luckily enough there wasn't any talk of marriages - he would freakin' shoot, honestly shoot, if someone began talknig about that crap now; he was only eighteen for heaven's sake! "And I feel real honoured to be a butler; means that there's more opportunities to reek havoc around the school, right?" He gave her a sly grin, hoping for her to catch the message. Butlers usually stuck to their masters and if both the butler and master were trouble makers... the servants and everyone all around would pay some hell, big time.
To answer her last question he gave another nod, finishing off the last of his bagel (which took a lot of effort, considering he was pretty much full), taking another sip of coffee, and moving on to the last scone. He should seriously buy some before they left as he remembered that the school had some coffee, hopefully for students as well. Opening his mouth to say something he couldn't utter out even a sound before his phone began playing again - what the hell? This time the melody was far different from the two previous; it was a phone call. Letting out a tired groan he flipped his phone open and answered the call. "Yo."
"Are you sure you don't want to come?" A male voice asked, with a hint of pleading, through the speakers, "You haven't visited once, much less written anything to let us know how you're going." The young man gave out a sigh, gave an apologetic smile to Rikka, before taking a bite and replying. "I send a gift every year with a small letter, that should suffice." There was a gulp, "I'll be there soon enough, don't worry 'bout it." The person on the other side gave a sigh of defeat, muttering something about 'fine' before speaking up one last time, "This time he wants some kind of manga book collection, I honestly don't know which series; he probably takes it after you." The young man said a 'meh' then a 'goodbye' and hung up. Well, at least he won't be getting any more annoying calls or messages for a little while.
"After we finish,as you said, need to visit a convenient store and some other place, then we can do whatever again or vice versa; either way, I'm gonna get me a lighter before the end of this trip." what will it bring?

"I plan to go semi-formal; there is no way in hell I'm gonna be dressed in a tux underneath layers of coats, uncomfortable shoes, and a top hat; that fashion sense belongs more for corporate parties."
Rikka stuck her tongue out in disgust. "Ew. I hate corporate parties. People there are so boring and repetitive." it was one of the reasons why she had ran away after all. She hated those kind of parties, she rather go ahead and attend to a big party that teenagers have on t.v. Now those looks fun, especially if she pulls a prank or two on a couple of the students. Yep, that would be so much fun, something like an exploding cake on the host. Oh god she would pay to see that. Hmmm. A sudden though came into her head. Maybe she could play around at the ball and cause some trouble. Yeah something like making the punch too sweet or maybe making holes in all of the cups so they keep on pouring the drinks but it always escapes. Yeah! That would be an awesome prank.
"And I feel real honoured to be a butler; means that there's more opportunities to reek havoc around the school, right?"
"Good because I have some ideas in mind to make the ball more...interesting." she stated, words so innocent yet meaning so corrupted. It was like a play with words only not in a pun like fashion. It was more like acting. Only she got to make the lines herself but it was still fun all the same. "Man you have got to come to one of the student council meeting. Having you there would make everything so much fun and then maybe I wouldn't skip it so much." she mumbled to herself. Really it would have brought her a lot of fun and to see the look on Selena's face. Oh yeah, she would love to see the that.
Soon though his phone rang off once again."Popular today aren't ya?' she murmured to herself but she felt a grin tug on her face. A lot of people were calling him today that it was kind of funny. She sat still for a moment and waited for the conversation was over while she grabbed one of the waiters by the arm. He gave her a look obviously confused by her action. She rolled her eyes and whispered to him. "Check." she commanded, no please or anything. Just one word, the guy nodded and walked away.
If only school was like this, it would make life so much easier. Oh well whatever. As the check came she stared at the words for a moment. Well it wasn't so bad, she was sure he could afford it. Still she placed ten dollars down for tip. Her eyes stared at him for a moment as he spoke into his phone. Who was he talking to? A friend, family member, or gang member? She had to cover her mouth in order to not burst out laughing at that thought. Sure he was a trouble maker but seeing him in a gang was not something she would most likely ever see.
"After we finish,as you said, need to visit a convenient store and some other place, then we can do whatever again or vice versa; either way, I'm gonna get me a lighter before the end of this trip."
"Determined now aren't we?" she asked. The guy must really like the smoke like how she likes the color red. She looked at the check one last time and waited for him to pay.

the morning horizon,'That's quite the generous tip.' He thought, looking at the ten dollar bill she placed, "Damn right I'm determined for that lighter, and don't worry about the bill - I said it was my treat, right? I'll handle it." Abruptly standing he took the bill with him, leaving her bill at the table, and strode to the front counter - he had something else to add as well. Hm, what should he get and perhaps something for her as well; maybe something strawberry? Oh, and definitely two bottles of water to wash all of that down. Giving a nod to no one in particular he opened his mouth and spoke to the cashier, asking for five chocolate scones, five strawberry tarts - in separate packages, and two bottles of water in addition to the current bill. In total the whole thing summed up to thirty something dollars, which he paid in cash and left a tip of ten. It didn't really faze him much about the amount seeing as how he did work for that money and such, might as well use it, right?
He came back to the table a few minutes later with two small bags and two water bottles. "Strawberry tarts and water for later." He explained as he placed her share on the table, gave a slight bent to pick up the Tillies bag with his free hand before transferring his scones along to that hand, and his right with a water bottle and his phone, "Let's get going then, shall we? " He motioned her forward and pushed the door open for the two before being hit by sun. Frack. " Anywhere else you would like to go first before my journey?"
[ ooc: ladies first, right? i'll post more next reply. ][/blockquote] what will it bring?

"Damn right I'm determined for that lighter, and don't worry about the bill - I said it was my treat, right? I'll handle it."
The girl chuckled at Kuro's words. Wow, he really needed to smoke. Although she was sure some part of that was a joke, hopefully it was anyway since she had actually listened to those little lessons. Yeah it was an amazing thing really but it was true nonetheless. She was just one of those people where you shouldn't judge by her cover. Well maybe not that since the cover does say a lot about her. Still she has things that people wouldn't expect her to have, one of them being fairy tales but there were other things too! Such as cross-dressing or even acting. Not many know that though but that was because she didn't want to hurt their little brains thinking about that.
As he walked away, Rikka grabbed the money and waited. Her eyes staring outside for a moment as she tried to recollect her thoughts. Today was...productive to say the least. Hands on the back of her head she looked up at the door. People were still coming in and out. This place must do pretty well. How come she never heard of it? Then she hit a realization, she had never really asked where people like to eat. She always just ate where she would usually eat so she never tried new things much. Though it wasn't like people would show it to her. She was just a brat in their eyes after all.
Hmph, the queen wrapped her arms around her chest. She was so no a brat. She just wanted to have fun before she has to grow up unlike them who always try to act so mature. It was sickening, why don't they just like the present and act like a kid. It wasn't like they had much childhood left before they had to do boring adult stuff. Really, they're all idiots for not noticing that. Whatever, their lost right? She stared at her guide for a moment and wondered if he felt the same as her. He does seem to be laid back after all.
Once he came back she stared at the bag in front of her. Uhmmm. Her mouth was about to open and ask what it was but he gave her the answer. Guess it was pretty obvious.
"Strawberry tarts and water for later."
As he opened the door, she walked out. Well time to go to the convenience store. Maybe she can find something there. Like scissors and a new set of gloves that she can throw away later after her plan. Don't want any DNA to point towards her after all. Too bad that would mean she can't drink the punch but whatever, she would just bring her own drink. It would be easy.
"Anywhere else you would like to go first before my journey?"
"I don't have anywhere in mind." she answered. She pretty much had everything she needed for now. {Yep ladies first! ^__^}

the morning horizon,"Super then! Let's get me that lighter - of course, I won't smoke now, but still!" An ear splitting face became apparent on his face as the two began walking on the streets once more; despite being a senior he really wasn't acting like one, getting overly eager for a lighter no less. He was, as many put it, weird. That didn't stop him, however. So when they came across the first convenience store he just told he rto stay put and he'd be back in twenty seconds, which he did, with a lighter in hand (he had resorted to putting his phone away and carrying his water bottle with his left hand). Seconds later he began to test the little contraption to see if it worked, nodded in satisfaction and glee that it did, and put the box away. Alright, one out of two complete. Now they needed to find a book store.
They began their trip once more with the taller of the two being more alert all around. There were lots of people now and most of the places they were passing had been either a food or clothing store, which was a great disappointment. This part, or side at least, of the city was dedicated to fashion as opposed to antiques and oddities that he usually ventured for. "There's gotta be one around here somewhere..." The young man muttered, still taking in signs of bargain deals and clothes stores. It wasn't until a bit later, minutes and blocks later, did his eyes finally lock on to a sign: a bookstore. Now, was that so hard? Yes, it definitely was.
"Perhaps you could find something here you like too, maybe another book?" Kuro suggested as he opened the door for the two of them and scanned around. It wasn't grand bookstore like in the malls but had a nice cozy feel to it. The popular novels were all out in display, magazines much further in, recipe books, and others all over. Usually most children around his brother's age would've gone for video games as a birthday gift, definitely an 'okay' thing for his standards, but alas it wasn't something he would get. The agreement was usually that his parents bought the video games while he bought the books or any light present so the carrying fee wouldn't be much; aside from that, video games around this place tended to cost a lot. Of course another problem arose: which series did the boy want again? His father hadn't mentioned anything so it was pretty much up to him to take a wild guess.
Great.
He gave the raven haired girls a wave, motioning her to look around, while he himself approached one of the staff in the store, hoping to get some answers. "Do you happen to know the latest manga book teens go for today?" He was then given a strange look, countering it back with a bored one, before he was led elsewhere. It wasn't his fault, technically, that his tastes in manga and literature were far more different than most his age, much less obscure and such; unfortunately his step-brother seemed to have developed the same case. "These are the latest releases and the most popular." And the person left. Crouching down, still be careful about the bags and things hanging from him, his eyes quickly scanned through the titles. Most of the were adventure/shounen or shoujo, then there was some mecha and comedy... and aha! There it was. A good, mystery series he had once read about - and it was only five volumes long! Oh, and look at that - his long awated manga novel was also there, sweet.
However, there would be some difficulty this time around: his hands were quite full. Begrudgingly he set the items aside and placed the water bottle, making sure to wipe away all the moisture around the plastic, and placed it in the Tillies bag. Hopefully it wouldn't ruin or dampen the dress. Patting his hands dry he carefully grabbed the five volumes for his brother and the one lone volume for himself; this was totally awesome. "Did you find anything Rikka?" what will it bring?

Their little quest was proving to be quite boring. First she didn't even get to go inside the convenience store for Kuro's lighter. Now they were walking for what felt like forever. Where were they going anyway? She distracted herself by looking at the many people passing her. So many colors and designs on the clothes and so many stores that even sell pretty much the same thing, clothes. Yeah...that's just weird. Why have a whole bunch of clothes shop so close to each other? Was it some kind of competition, she can understand have some of this many. Wow, it was amazing how they found the convenience store so quickly before. Just luck most likely, luck that is now avoiding their grasps.
Come on, come on, come on! Where int he world is whatever store her guide was looking for? It didn't even seem like he knew where it was. Great, just like her, he wasn't good with directions. Well at least their not lost...yet. Yet, that word didn't help her at all but oh well they could just ask for directions of anything happens and by they, she meant he. There was no way she was going to ask for directions after all.
Soon the albino entered the store. Yes! The girl screamed in her head! He found what was he was looking for! Although she didn't really think it would be a book store. Did it even matter though? Now she can look for things to buy! As he gave her the motion to go, she walked over to the manga section. What to get, what to get. There were so many mangas! This was going to hard alright.
Soon her hand came to a manga that was pretty much a dark version of Alice in Wonderland. Well now she knew what she was going to get. Only three volumes though, joy. At least it was better than nothing. She rolled her eyes disappointed in the little volumes it had. Maybe she should get something else. She took a couple more books all having the fantasy genre. What can she say, she likes magic and dragons, it's interesting to her.
Once she found the guy again, she noticed how much stuff he had. Did they really bought that much? Maybe he could use some help. He sure looked like he did especially if they weren't through with the whole town yet. Poor guy, she was starting to feel some guilt for buying so much.
"Did you find anything Rikka?"
"Yeah." she answered."Need help?" she asked staring at the stuff he was carrying. There were still more to add too. This guy can definitely work has one of those load carriers at hotels. What were they called? Bellhops, that was it, he should totally be one seeing how much luggage he had.

the morning horizon,He waved at her concern as it was really unnecessary - it was just books, manga books at that, so they weren't heavy to carry at all. All he needed was some balance, like now, and it would be fine. Lightly grasping the small bundle of books he arose from his position and also grabbed the bag before looking around one final time; this was it, right? Thinking back, from past recounts, he couldn't really find any other things he needed here to he gave a nod to himself and began to lead to the cashier. "Just drop off your books and I'll pay for it - I buy this amount of books all the time." He had gotten a glimpse of the young lady's books, well the amount, and didn't really pay heed. Once again, he was going to be paying with his own money and the fact that his family knew that he spent his money on things like this (aside from that, the bill was usually directed to him in the academy's dormitories, not to his home.) He just lazily stared at the cashier scanning their purchases, and it came to quite the sum, before he handed a credit card to the middle aged women behind the counter. Gah, why did she have to wear that incredulous look? Was it a crime to have a credit card, much less a job, at his age? No, it wasn't. He held off on giving his own stare and just watched her swipe and punch in a few codes, "Can I please get this six in one bag and the rest in another?" He politely added, dividing the share of books. Hopefully he had some gift wrap back in his room to wrap this, he probably did but it was just somewhere in his room lying or hiding behind some piece of furniture.
After all was said and done he thanked the woman and stepped off to the side to try and organize everything. So, there was the Tillies bag, two bookstore bags, and his scones. The sun was still high, but it was starting to go down, but who cared? There was no curfew... well, he chose to ignore it at least. Without further notice he took out his water bottle from the biggest bag and felt around, nope, it wasn't wet. Letting out a sigh of relief he opened up the dress and securely placed her mangas within the folds before placing fabric over once more; at least the manga would be protected and he didn't have to carry so much stuff. His water bottle, he decided, would be in his pocket (thank you for multi-pocket coats), held his manga books with the big bag, and the scones with his left hand - all set and ready to go.
"Right, well... I'm pretty much satisfied for my shopping needs." He turned to look at her, "Anywhere else before we head back?" The bus ride would be long and insufferable... again, so might as well make the most out of their remaining time. He honestly didn't have much else do get, with everything said, packaged, and within in grasp, all he needed was her confirmation. By the way, now that he was reminded of going back, didn't he have to print something? Crap. what will it bring?

Rikka had to resist the urge to roll her eyes as Kuro waved her off. Boys, always having to act so tough. After they bought the books and went outside she noticed that she still had some cake left. Guess she could always go ahead and eat the rest in the bus. Although she was curious now, where did the guy get all this money from? He treated her to something that cost that most people would complain about and then bought a lot of books. Was he a thief? Hmm, thief. The thought made her chuckle, a queen and a thief. Wasn't that in some book before? Yeah she was pretty sure it was, although she had forgotten what it was called. Great, now she was going to have to look it up. " Anywhere else before we head back?" The girl shook her head. She was pretty good to so they might as well go to the bus. {Yeah a fail post mainly because I'm excited for the ball. Sorry. Can we end it here?}

the morning horizon,"Alrighty then, back to the academy we go." Kuro unceremoniously announced as they ventured out and made their way toward the bus stop. There was a collection of people from the distance meaning that they hadn't missed the thing quite just yet. Well, at least he was set for the day, er, night. Maybe he should take medicine to fall asleep faster today... it would definitely help for tomorrow. Oh, right, the dance was happening tomorrow. Gah, this just sucked big time. Oh well.
Looks like he had to put up with another all nighter again... hopefully she wouldn't mind him being a tad bit late. Then again, he didn't really sleep so it wouldn't matter. Ah, and crap, he couldn't smoke unless he wanted to reek of tobacco - dammit it all to hell. The young man sighed in defeat - it would be just one day, he would make it.
[ ooc: yup; 'tis the last post. i will see you at the dance. ] what will it bring?
