the morning horizon,'That bus rise was bloody hell.' The teen thought as his 'companion' and him hopped off the vehicle and stood at the sidewalk, watching as other passengers get off and go on before the bus made its exit. Checking the time on his phone it told him that their ride had taken approximately twenty minutes or so, not bad; getting back would be the big problem though. Of course he didn't mind it but he didn't know if she did, well, what's done is done anyway.
He started to stroll down the street in a slow, even pace, enough to put a slight distance between them. He wasn't really keen about others hanging around him but the notion people might get of them dating would leave a big rumor spreading and a big after affect for the both of them (probably with him being beaten by her or something no doubt.) There was barely anything open around this time, with the exception of cafés, convenient stores, and little specialty boutiques; he'd have to remember to stop by one of the stores before leaving to get another lighters... and perhaps another pack.
Sunlight was slowly making its way around the place, adding streams of light and heat here and there, though there was still the dimness and darkness of the night. The temperature was moderate, not really that windy like before, and many citizens were starting to populate the streets. Most of them, however, were morning runners/joggers, sometimes elders, and then sophisticated business personnel getting their morning energy boost. Perhaps, out of everyone around the area, the two of them were the only students, yet at the moment dressed in normal apparel. The city wasn't really one of the many places he liked going to, but she had insisted, and he really didn't want to decline. He barely went here and practically avoided the place like a plague, with so much people around the weekends and all, though was fairly surprised when he noticed that not much really changed around here.
"Well, there isn't much open, but here's 'somewhere else.'" Kuro quoted, motioning with his hands, "I highly doubt we'll get back to school on time, since the bus going back takes somewhat forever - wanna just skip?" He turned his head slightly, just to gauge her reaction, "You get more time to look around and stuff - not that I really care - and it's just one day; you might miss a surprise test too, right?" He was a terrible role-model for these children, thank goodness he wasn't going to be teaching anytime soon. what will it bring?

That bus ride was way too long! It felt like it's been forever! Really, who in the world would like a bus ride like that? Certainly not her! How dare they make it so long!? How in the world do they do business? As she stepped out of the bus with a whole bunch of people behind and in front of her. Her eyes narrowed at that thought. Geez, how long does it take to get away from that stupid school? She watched as Kuro checked his phone. Might as well do the same to see what time it was. She reached down but then she remembered. Dresses don't have pockets. Her cell phone was back in her room with Kaiba!
A sigh escaped her lips as she followed the older teen. She was a bit behind him but as long as she can see him she won't get lose. Besides, she doesn't have her phone to contact her brother in case she gets lost. Really, she should had thought this over. She tried her best not to roll her eyes at that idiotic mistake. God who made this dress! Why don't they put pockets or something to hold her stuff. It would be the dress a lot more useful after all.
Well, there isn't much open, but here's 'somewhere else.'
Once again the girl rolled her eyes but not at herself, rather at her little tour guide or whatever he is in this case. She wasn't exactly sure."Haha." she stated making sure the laugh was as sarcastic as it could be. When she said somewhere else, this was not what she had in mind. Doesn't this guy know how to show a girl a good time? Like maybe going to an amusement park, or pet store. Maybe even the arcade, the arcades are fun after all. Although right now, she was going to need to get out of this dress. She stood out too much after all.
You get more time to look around and stuff - not that I really care - and it's just one day; you might miss a surprise test too, right?
"I don't care about tests. I'm passing right now after all. Besides, I'm bored of the school so first, take me to a clothing store." she commanded him. She was going to need to get some jeans, a shirt and a jacket. Most likely in the boy's department, their jacket are always much more comfortable after all. She never really knew why the boys get the more comfortable outfits but they do. Speaking of which, she would need to get some shoes too. Dress shoes are not something good to be walking around with.
She stood there arms crossed as she waited for him to show her the way. She wasn't going to tell him that she was bad with directions. Besides, he was the man, and the man is suppose to be the one that leads. Usually of course, there are always exceptions which are when she wants to lead which she doesn't right now so the exception doesn't apply in this situation."What are you waiting for? Lead." she urged him.

the morning horizon,Well, at least the two of them had something in common: school, they both deemed, was boring. It was extremely boring for him though, seeing as how he was going to graduate and he there would be a bunch of presentations, practices, and other whatnot so that when the end of the year came him and his class would go out of the academy proud, prepared, and with a bang; not that he really cared, of course.
"What are you waiting for?" She fixed him a stare, which he returned in a dull manner, "Lead." Did she seriously want him to take her around here? Heavens no, hopefully she did not just say that. He stared at her for a few moments, which was returned, and gave a sigh of defeat - this would probably turn out ugly. With a motion of a hand he urged her forward as he continued to walk along the block, eyes scanning left and right for any signs of open stores. How long has it been since he last went shopping with a girl of all people? A good ten years perhaps, or maybe less? The only recount he could remember was being dragged to a store, not the one leading; where the hell would he take her?
"Where do you want to go first?" Kuro asked, still looking around, "I don't think my preferences would really fit your expectations or needs - throw me a bone or something here." He wanted to go to a convenient store for a new lighter and maybe look for some food or whatever other crap he found interesting and even to him those ideas (aside from the food) sounded terrible to suggest to a young lady. He may have been rude and whatnot but he still knew how to be a gentleman. what will it bring?

Where do you want to go first?
Rikka stood there for a moment and pondered. Where would she like to go first? Well other than the clothing store that is. The girl used her head to carry her head as she walked back and forth he mind wondering which place to go. Then she got one in mind, her favorite clothing store."I want to go to Tillies." she stated with a small smile. She liked that place so why not right? Besides it was the first thing that came into her head. So whether Kuro liked it or not that's where their going to go.
Wait since she gave the place the guy would most likely think that she would now where it is. A small chuckle escaped her lips. Oh great. "Go be a gentleman and lead the way." she stated as she gave him a little push. The guy should know where shopping stores are right? He can't be that much of an idiot. No one can.
{Utterly fail post. ;__;}

the morning horizon,He resigned his fate to clothes shopping as he begrudgingly began his trek forward with the slight push from his underclassman. He wasn't that ignorant when it came to shops and knew that 'Tillies' was something related to clothes - he had passed by the place a couple of times, heard about it, but luckily never dragged there until now; super. Well, he supposed it wouldn't be that bad there, just as long as he didn't have to continually give his opinion on the things she would try on - he was bland when it came to clothing, somewhat picky, and according to many others had a 'terrible fashion sense.' It wasn't his fault that he preferred dark colors, much less tall collared shirts which blocked a certain part of his body.
Looking around he still couldn't see the sight of the store's sign, much less any indication of how further in the place may be. "If you don't mind me asking, do you particularly need anything from there? Not to be an asshole or anything, just curious." Kuro asked, "I mean, apparently there's some kind of 'ball' or some crap like that happening soon - you'll be needing a dress, right?" There had been many occasions like that before and all he had never ventured to - well, there was that one time during second, but only because he was forced to dj and monitor the requests, vulgarity, and times of the songs. It was amusing, to say the least, when some of the students had to separate or had 'dance face-offs' because it seemed fairly idiotic in his eyes.
"I could buy you something, if you want, to save some of your money for other things and as a small 'apology' for getting you to skip today." He put an extra emphasis on 'apology' because he wasn't really sorry and she wasn't really against the whole idea either - on the contrary she had been the one to suggest it. Speaking of which, he had noticed that he was starting to talk a lot, much less care about things, which was definitely not good; perhaps the loneliness was getting to him? Psh, as if; it was just... refreshing, to see another hell raiser like him in the school, maybe someone he could pass his non-existent title to? Turning around he stopped and propped himself up by the window and opened the door to the store, "After you?" what will it bring?

Rikka walked closely behind Kuro like a lost puppy since she pretty much was. She had been to the store many times before but never had she remembered where it was. Someone always had to lead her and in the crowd seems to be getting bigger as the sun was now fully up. Most of them were adults though but still she tried her best to follow his steps without clinging onto him. She had to have some independence, it's part of her image being a queen after all. There was no way she was going to make it look like she needed him. She didn't need anyone, except for Neku since he's her brother and her best servant. Still it's not like she really needed someone to cling onto her. She never cling onto anyone, or at least she doesn't show it anyway.
If you don't mind me asking, do you particularly need anything from there? Not to be an asshole or anything, just curious.
"Oh, I'm going to buy some boy clothes to wear. This dress is pretty hard to walk around with." she answered casually the usual sarcasm and sadistic tone gone. Today wasn't that much of a queen. Really, she was just a citizen today seeing that someone had taken her away from the tower, aka school. The thought made her smile as she once again remembered how there was a student council meeting today. Oh yeah, she was definitely going to miss it. It would most likely just be one of those ones where they would see if there were any last minute changes on the Summer Ball. Really it would just bore her, she was sure that she could easily skip it with ease. No one would really care anyway.
Besides it wasn't like her opinions really mattered. Most of the time she just argue to do things her way. It was quite tiresome which was why she switched with her twin here and there. She needed a break and would like to go ahead and be a normal student. God why couldn't the school just have a queen and let that be that? Why did it have to be a whole council? There was no point in having a president if everyone had equal power. It wasn't like that in the real world and for some places that due tend to argue. A sigh escaped her lips, just one more year, just one more year.
I could buy you something, if you want, to save some of your money for other things and as a small 'apology' for getting you to skip today.
The girl shook her head. "If you want to apologize then why not just ask me to go to the Summer Ball with you." she suggested. She was rich after all so she was pretty sure she can afford a lot of things. Besides, if she couldn't then she could just borrow some money from her twin. It was simple and easy really. As she stared at him though she put on one of her rare smile that made her look like a little kid. She was eager and she didn't have anyone to go to the ball too. Apparently no one had asked her since they were all afraid of her. Whatever, their lost right and today might just be the senior's lucky day. She was in a good mood right now. The only thing is if he was going to take it or not since there was no way she was going to ask him. That would make her look to desperate.
Soon though they made it to the store. She started to run in as she couldn't wait anymore but almost tripped. Good thing she had caught herself in time. Looks like her upperclassman was a gentleman as he held the door for her.
After you?
With a smile the girl nodded and even did a small curtsy although it was more of mocking. Only she wasn't mocking Kuro, she was mocking the usual traditions her parents had taught her. She stepped inside and felt the air condition. Okay first to the boy section, then she'll go find herself a dress., She stared up at the sign and started to walk towards the way that had the word 'boy' on it.
There were so many clothes to pick she wasn't so sure which one. Whatever it was, she wanted the color red on it. Somewhere...she just wasn't sure where. As she looked around she son found a black shirt, red jacket and black jeans. The jacket had a hoodie on it but it was summer so she just took the short sleeve black shirt and black jeans. Only she needed something red. Her face frowned at the realization dang it! Her eyes caught sight of a red cap though. Perfect. She quickly grabbed the clothes and nodded to herself.
Her head turned towards her companion and smiled. She strode over to him her hands with the clothes behind her back. "Well today is your lucky day. I'm in a good mood so pick anything and I"ll buy for you. Free of charge." she offered. {Yay! Muse!}

the morning horizon,He followed her in, not caring much for the curtsy which seemed more of a mockery than anything else, and quietly (as possible) shut the glass door closed. He was surprised to hear her say that she wanted to buy men's clothing as opposed to women's. There was nothing wrong with that - honestly he's seen how much struggling some women had to put up with just to get dressed, put makeup, and etc - but with her status as queen it just didn't seem to add up; to him, it was nothing, to many other students they would've been flabbergasted and pinching themselves. She was right to point out that the dress she was currently in was hard to move in, as all of them were, so getting a new set wasn't really unnecessary. As she began looking around he simply plopped down at one of the many cushions and stared straight ahead, at nothing in particular.
At the moment his head was going through a rundown of possibilities and scenario. In a strange way, more like 'sly' or 'cunning' really, she had just asked him to the summer ball. While he had no problem with doing such a thing, he didn't really get a call to supervise and play the dj role this time around, it was still... strange. He's gone to such formalities before due to concertos and performances with his parents but not many balls and dances. There were the prestigious business parties he had been forced into when first ventured into Japan, barely little before that, and never during his school career - unless forced upon him, of course. It was either because he had 'no one to go with,' he didn't ask anyone, he was the one playing the music, or had no real initiative to do anything. Some tried or at least contemplated to ask him or something of the sort but never did succeed; his isolated nature and 'reputation' made sure of such thing. Another problem was, well, wasn't she 'the queen' or something? Surely going with a 'peasant' would cause an uproar... or rumours? Wait a minute, he shook his head, when did her care? Before that actually, why did he care? It wasn't going to kill him or anything anyway.
"Well today is your lucky day. I'm in a good mood so pick anything and I'll buy for you. Free of charge." his thoughts scattered away as he blinked and brought his gaze to the side and peered at the items in the secured in the teenager's arms; there was black and red. If he didn't know any better he would think that they were matching or something with his dark red coat and black pants and all. Alright, now that was a weird thought right there. "No thanks, as much as tempting it is; it should really be the other way around, plus I'm pretty much okay with the clothes I have." He had a bland closet and he did his shopping at his own time anyway, what he needed wasn't in this store. "If that's all, well, let's get that paid and get some breakfast." He wasn't that hungry really but perhaps she was and there may be some other places she wanted to go to or something; they had a lot of time left so he took a slow walk to the cash register and just propped himself up against the wall again and just looked. He'd give her an answer later.
[ ooc: much better than mine at least. T-T ] what will it bring?

{Don't worry, you'll get your muse back. I'm sure of it.} No thanks, as much as tempting it is; it should really be the other way around, plus I'm pretty much okay with the clothes I have.
At those words Rikka sighed, she should had figured that. After all the guy had bland clothes and from what she had watched on t.v., boys don't like to go shopping. It was amazing that he had even came in here. Maybe today was her lucky day as well since at least she won't be lost. Yep, so that was a good thing alright. "I can pay for myself." she stated while pouting. She wasn't a child or a spoiled brat, no matter what the others say about her. Besides, it wasn't like they had actual play with her or get to know her. They are so judgmental and cruel to their beloved queen. She was sure if the school had a dungeon, a lot of students would be imprisoned there. The thought made her chuckle a bit as she followed him.
"If that's all, well, let's get that paid and get some breakfast."
She nodded, it sounded like a good suggestion. Her stomach grumbled as she remembered how she barely ate last night. The food was so bland that she just gave up on eating it. Neku had tried to get her to eat but she was very determined unlike the sheep. Once it was her turn to pay she noticed the person gave her a quizzical look. After all a girl wearing a pretty dress with braids was buying boy clothes. She returned the look with a glare though. So much for giving him a small tip. She paid the money in cash and walked over. Geez, was there something wrong with cross-dressing? It's fun and boy clothes are comfortable.
She walked towards the wall and ordered Kuro."Stay here. I'm going to change." with that she walked to the changing room. She folded the dress and put in neatly in the bag before she put on the cap. She kept the braids though since it was tiring to undo and then redo them. Speaking of which that meant that she didn't brush her hair today. Oh well whatever. She opened the door and walked over to her senpai.
Eyes reflecting his, she stared outside for a bit. "So where do you want to eat?" she asked. She had never really ate outside. Most of the time, she would pay the cafeteria to let her brother sneak in and cook for her. He was a great chef after all though his food always taste the same. Another draw back from always following the book. Really, the guy has got to learn to think outside of the box. Maybe the albino can help her with that one day.

the morning horizon,Kuro gave a curt nod and just stayed where he was and took a side glance to the window. The sun was definitely up now and there were people all over; most were adults and a small number of teens walking about. Those teenagers must be from another part of the city and definitely did not attend their school, that or they were pretty gutsy to actually go and skip, especially freshmen who were usually stuck with the brutal teachers. Then again, he did this all the time but he still made it up and got his things handed in despite his poor participation and attendance. His thoughts were broken when a soft tune began to play, phrases of a piano piece, which indicated that someone was calling him. Taking the small device out he flipped the thing open, automatically answering it, and peered at the name. Blood red eyes narrowed as he hit the red button and shut the thing. Once again, moments after, another set of notes began to spring about indicating a text message - what did they want now?
Flipping his phone open once more he clicked the green button and opened the message, "So where do you want to eat?" Rikka's voice had rung out and he gave her a small look, acknowledging her presence, before returning his gaze back at the small screen. "Café or Starbucks." Was the white haired teen's curt answer as he started to walk and opened the door for the two of them before taking the lead once more. "By the way, I'll carry your bag; I'd be some crappy gentleman if I didn't do that, right? " He stretched his left hand back for her to give him the bag's handles while his right hand began pressing a series of buttons. The text message had been clear and simple: come home for a celebration. Which one? His father's. Technically he was still on good terms with the man, fairly distant but still good, it would mean that Hana and his step-brother would be there. He didn't hate his step-brother, no the little kid hadn't done anything wrong, but he didn't like Hana - even if it was close to a decade since the marriage he still didn't really grown fond of her... among other reasons as well. His response back to woman (he never called her 'mother' or anything, just 'Hana,' 'woman,' 'lady,' or anything along those lines) with: No thanks, but wish him 'happy birthday.' Pressing the green button he sent his message without further elaboration and gave a scoff, hadn't they learned the first year when he refused to return home for any celebrations at all? The only thing he did was send a present, which was usually for his younger brother, and wished them 'happy birthday.' Speaking of which the little child's birthday would be soon and he had to get something next time around he came to the city... whenever that was. " What would you like to eat? Need to make sure that we go to the right place first." The young man said all of a sudden, " And this one's on me, free of charge; anything you want." Wherever they were going to go the place would serve coffee because he needed some caffeine, and the main course? He would decide when he got there; might as well let the lady pick, just in case she fancied anything at all.
[ ooc: hopefully. ][/blockquote] what will it bring?

Café or Starbucks.
Cafe. Definitely cafe hands down, no competition. Starbucks on have coffee after all while cafes have sweets. Hmm, she can go for some cake right now. She licked her lips at that thought. Sweet delicious cake! Yep, cafe alright. She followed behind him and once again walked close. It was strange that he wasn't trying to set a distance between them like the other time. Weird, maybe she was walking too quickly for him or something. No, she was sure she was walking like normal so how come she was able to catch up with him? Maybe he gave up on making it look like it was only a coincidence that they are walking on the same road. Whatever the case was she was happy, not that she'll tell him of course.
"By the way, I'll carry your bag; I'd be some crappy gentleman if I didn't do that, right? " At those words, she smiled at him and nodded. She handed over the bag. It was strange, Kuro was someone who came out as a troublemaker yet he was such a gentleman. He didn't accept her charity so he wasn't here for her money since he declined her offer, even more was that he had actually praised her title instead of scoffing at it. This guy was really weird, either he was a good actor or he has two personalities. If he was a good actor though which one is the real him? Now she was curious but she knew she couldn't just ask that question. It was rude and she is many things but rude never seems to be one of them. "Thanks Kuro." said the queen as she gave her gratitude. The clothes felt so comfortable but now that she thought about it, the outfits were quite similar. The thought made her blush. God, why did she have to be obsessed with the color red and black? A sigh escaped her lips as she looked down for a moment. He probably thinks she's some kind of kid trying to mimic him. Great, just great. What a great move she made. Now there was no way he would take her seriously. Wait, why should she care? He was only a servant. God, what is wrong with her. Maybe she should go see a therapist or something for this. She was not herself today. She shouldn't be feeling like this. No, not at all. She's suppose to be independent, except when it comes to directions. What would you like to eat? Need to make sure that we go to the right place first."Cafe." she answered. After all the cafe had much more sweets and it's a lot more fancy which is to her liking. Any cafe would do for her, as long as it's not too romantic. She didn't want to look like an idiot in front of him. " And this one's on me, free of charge; anything you want." "You might just regret that." she told him obvious joking as she chuckled at the end. Although he just, after all she love sweets.[/blockquote]

the morning horizon,"No problemo, it's my pleasure; and no, that was not in any way sarcastic at all." He answered as his hand closed in and carried the thing to the side as his voice had been fairly monotone, most likely due to the text he had previously received. He was quite surprised, however, that the dress didn't really weigh much, unlike the ones Hana purchased (then again, she was fairly taller and her dressed more intricate and whatnot), or anything of the like. It was fairly light and the bag wasn't heavy and deemed itself to be sturdy - good, he didn't want the thing to burst on the two of them or something. That would be terrible and just downright annoying.
Their walk continued on a bit longer before he came to a stop at a familiar part of the city and looked across the street. located parallel to their current location was a small café with an outdoor part and indoor part. He didn't particularly care for that factor but he did know/care for one thing: they had some nice coffee (well, he was in the mood for cappuccino, but theirs was real good too) and some nice bagels. So the latter may have been more common in most cafés but he didn't particularly care or anything, they also sold some other little treats that he could always bring back to the dorm and eat later or just stash in his pocket for extra munching for any occasion.
"We're gonna jaywalk this, alright? So... hold on tight." Without another word dropped his cellphone into the bag, grasped the girl's hand and began a hurried walk across the street. Luckily both stops to and fro were at red but they would change soon enough. Ugh, he hated having to resort to touch, being a personal thing really, but he set the feeling aside - his face didn't betray any emotion and he just kept on leading until they were safely across, the lights turning green, and they were standing in front of the café. Alright, time to get some coffee. Letting go of her hand he opened the door and waited before snagging a seat for the two of them somewhere near the windows, or at least near the outdoors.
"Order whatever you please." The albino said offhandedly as he motioned her to look at the menu; he already knew what he wanted as he was a 'regular' customer here. what will it bring?

quot;No problemo, it's my pleasure; and no, that was not in any way sarcastic at all."
Really when someone says that, you couldn't help but wonder if that was true. Rikka just nodded, it might as well be the truth seeing how blunt this guy was. Besides, they were on the streets, there was no way he would throw it back to her and cry out "H*** no!". At least hopefully he wouldn't anyway since that would cause a scene. Yeah so that meant that he had to mean it or at least somewhat mean it anyway. She wasn't exactly sure but continued to walk. Well at least she was right about him being interesting.
"We're gonna jaywalk this, alright? So... hold on tight."
What jay walk? Before she can say anything he grabbed her hand and lead her. The action made her blush ever so hard and she had a bit of a problem holding up and tried her best. She didn't dare look at her guide and so she lowered her eyes to the ground. This doesn't mean anything. This doesn't mean anything. She had to keep repeating that to herself as she followed his steps. One at a time, left, right, left, right. Why was she even thinking about something like this? Oh yeah, because she needed to calm herself. With that she continued to count how many steps it took for them to finish crossing but secretly she did wish for it to be a bit longer.
As they stopped in front of the cafe shop she walked inside. It wasn't as fancy as she thought it would be but it had a French like feel to it. At least it was somewhere in Europe so it wasn't too bad. She followed him to a seat next to the window and sat across from his chair. She looked around a bit to observe as much as she can. She was very curious after all. She had never been to this cafe before really. Soon a waiter caught her eyes as he handed the two menus. She opened hers and stared down at it, the white gloves from her dress still there. Damn, she forgot to take it off. Oh well whatever, if it gets too dirty, she'll just throw it away later.
Now what to have, what to have. She eyed her favorite desert, strawberry short cake. It was most likely only a slice. Ten dollars, that wasn't so much, now what next her eyes caught the sight of crepe which was cheaper, much cheaper only being two dollars. Weird, isn't crepe bigger than a slice of cake or maybe they are doing the whole cake. Whatever, she'll just have them both but then she would need something to drink. Vanilla shake, yep that one was going to be good. So many sweets after all and man does she love them. Sweets were the best kind of food in the world after all which is why dessert is the best part of the meal.
"Order whatever you please."
"Okay then, I'll have strawberry short cake, crepe and a vanilla shake." she stated with a grin. She knew they were all sweets but she didn't care much. She dropped her menu and stared at him. What do people normally say after this? Her mind drew a blank for a moment and then remembered. They would ask what the other ordered, she never does that with Neku since he would just order whatever she was having. "What about you?"

the morning horizon,'That's a lot of sweets.' The young man thought as he apathetically gazed at the menu, scanning for anything new. It seemed that a few more things were added, but luckily his favourites were still there. Albeit he had no problem with sweet things though right in the early morning it would make him quite sluggish for the rest of the day, he needed something decent first. "A plain bagel with butter, a cup of black coffee, and two chocolate scones please." He curtly ordered as he handed his menu and tilted his head back to stare at the ceiling. Every time he went to a café or ordered a cup of coffee it was always accompanied by scones; a habit that he grew into, and perhaps a memorial for the past. Then again, he liked scones through and through with no questions asked either. Most people didn't really eat scones, unless you were highly sophisticated or whatever, which usually resulted in people giving him questioned gazes - he really didn't seem like the type to go for such a treat.
Oh well, not his problem.
"Hopefully you won't pass out or anything from all those sweets - they tend to drain you of energy quickly." He added in moments later and fixed a lazy look at her, "It would be hell and awkward to carry you around like dead weight on my shoulders." Normally when that happened he was in his room and passed out on the floor, or on his bed, or the rare times during class where he would go to the infirmary and just stay there for half the day, not a pleasant experience but it was good for rest. But, at least she had good tastes when it came to deserts: crepes were awesome and vanilla shakes were good... depending on how it was made.
The atmosphere all around was nice, calm and serene. It wasn't really hot out - he had his trademark coat on for crying out loud - and there was a nice cool breeze every now and then. People were up and about laughing and talking, just walking and shopping like any normal person would do during the day, there were also kids around but they didn't make much noise with the heat and all blaring down at them. Yup, this was definitely nice. 'Beats having to listen to some teacher dawdling about responsibility and crap.' Or so he thought at least.
Just when their orders arrived, Rikka's a bit earlier than his, the phone in the bag started to ring. The young man gave a slight groan and dipped his hand in to fish the device out. Hadn't he made it clear already? Flipping it open he pressed the red button to end the call, which was still from the same person, and played around with it for a bit before another tune began to play; they were quite persistent this time around. "Just get off my case..." Kuro mumbled dejectedly with a bite of the bagel, answering the message with 'no' once again. Soon enough he'd be there to talk about the business, but for now he was home free. "By the way... you mentioned the ball before, right?" what will it bring?

"A plain bagel with butter, a cup of black coffee, and two chocolate scones please."
Grown up food? Rikka nodded at his orders. They looked pretty cheap except for the scones. Guess he must be saving money for her or something. Great, now she feels guilty but it was his offer. So it wasn't like it was her fault or anything. Whatever, if he can't afford it, she'll pay it herself. Done! She nodded at herself as she made an attempt to strengthen her resolve. So there was no need to feel guilty, but it wasn't like she was going to praise him on how good of a servant he was. Don't want anything to get into his head after all, if it was even possible with how laid back he was. Really, he could probably deal with her teachers a lot better than her and that wasn't only because he had most likely been in their classes though.
"Hopefully you won't pass out or anything from all those sweets - they tend to drain you of energy quickly."
At those words she pouted. "That doesn't work on me. Sugar doesn't do anything to me. I'm pretty much immune to it." she stated which was true. She never gets hyper off them of nor does she ever crash down. She had eaten far too much for it to effect her to such a degree that t.v. would show. God does the media love to go ahead and exaggerate things. Yet it was because of that, she finds it interesting since well it's funny. Still it was always best to tell yourself that life isn't like what the media shows it.
It would be hell and awkward to carry you around like dead weight on my shoulders."
"Are you calling me fat?" she joked adding a mock pout. Eyes lowered she tried to see if he could see her reaction. Yeah it was something she got up from t.v. but hey why not try as an experiment. Besides, this might turn into something interesting.
After the answer, she rested her head on her hand and stared out at the window for a moment. There were some students around her age. Guess they weren't the only ones skipping. Figures. She sighed, obvious bored of waiting. She was never the patient type after all. She wanted things at that moment. Her fingers light drummed the wooden table in a beat to one of her many pop songs. Amazingly none of them had to do with royalty as one would expect. Really people tend to think she was a spoil brat. She never saw how though. She treated them pretty well for servants after all yet they always want more. God, they were the brats pretty much always wanting more than what they already have, just like the greedy adults at all those stupid parties she went though.
Soon though her orders came and she grinned. Yes, food! She was starving and bored for a moment there. She started with the cake which was just a slice as she had expected. She let the cream dissolve into her mouth for a moment to cherish the flavor. Her face grinned, an obvious approval of the food. This cafe was a bit cheap and had a lot of people but the food was good. Then again wouldn't that be why there were so many people. Whatever, she has got to bring her brother to this place one day. Maybe he'll actually find something he likes himself. She just have to force him into the spot light. Yep! That would definitely work.
Her ears picked up something in her bag but when she saw Kuro getting it she continued to eat. She was pretty sure it wasn't her cellphone, after all it was in her dorm. Note to self: Always bring a cellphone and put it somewhere on your body. Maybe in her leggings or something. She'll have to figure that out later.
"By the way... you mentioned the ball before, right?"
The queen had never expected those words and choked at the cake. She hit her chest in order to swallow the last piece of cake. Right after she that she swiped her shake and started to drink it. There, much better. Her face felt hot and so she looked outside at the window once again. "Well you see, many boys asked me out to the ball but those servants are boring." she started with a lie. No one had asked her, but they were boring in her eyes so it wasn't an outright lie. "And you're interesting and you stated that you wanted to repay me somehow. I'm in a good mood today so ask me out to the ball and I might just say yes." she ended with a nod. {Well that was an interesting way to ask someone to go out on a date with you.}

the morning horizon,He let out a small sputter and choked on the dark liquid that was making its way down his throat, what other odd ideas did girls get in their heads? Well, her voice did have a sarcastic tone to it, but still. He simply hated the way most women worried themselves over appearances rather than success or anything of the sort; sure being pretty mattered but so was having a balanced lifestyle. The statistics were very high when it came down to children with health problems, especially when it came to the field of anorexia and bulimia where girls over ranked boys. Honestly, starving yourself was not really the best way to go in life. "The thought never crossed my mind." He replied with an amused tone, finishing off half of his bagel before taking another sip. A good way to wake up and start the day of pure nothingness.
The only problem was that by the time he finished sipping the coffee he gave out an exasperated sigh and shook his head; he was already half full. For a teenage boy he really didn't eat a lot much less his taste buds were quite picky when it came to his foods... most of the time that is. The only thing he was able to eat lots of was sweets like scones or certain courses like pasta and stuff, really there was something wrong with him. The two fell into short silence as he took a scone and began to eat all the while dipping it into his coffee; nothing beats black coffee and chocolate scones, as he was once told, and they were right.
Looking at his phone expectantly he began going through old messages, which wasn't much, and deleting some to clear his inbox - there would be another message following up soon, most likely, and he may not have enough room. While he had been doing that he mentioned something about the summer ball, which was answered with a series muffled coughs and some pounding. Fixing his eyes forward toward his 'companion' he was greeted with a strange sight: the queen, in all her composed nature, was spluttering and acting like an embarrassed child; oh my. This, if people saw, would have been a sight to behold. After regaining herself she began to speak, "Well you see, many boys asked me out to the ball but those servants are boring." He gave a carefree nod, totally unfazed by the comment, "And you're interesting and you stated that you wanted to repay me somehow. I'm in a good mood today so ask me out to the ball and I might just say yes."
Alright, pause, stop, rewind, and play again. Did he hear just right? Iramaki, Rikka: self appointed queen of third year, the hell raiser, had just asked him to go with her to the dance? ... odd, truly odd. He didn't bounce for joy (oh hell no, he didn't do such things) nor tremble in fear he just gave off a blank look. This really beats sitting in class doing nothing but daydreaming - it was a hundred times more interesting. "Weird way to phrase it, but sure." Kuro replied, letting out a slight chuckle, "Would you allow me to escort you to the summer ball, Miss Iramaki? Hopefully we'll have a grand time, or at least put on a spectacular show for your servants to see." He gave her a small smile, eyes twinkling with mischief; it would definitely be a killer sight; way to go to leave the school year with a 'bang'... not that he was going to graduate soon, but still. what will it bring?
