Rika walked through the entrance of the hot spring, wearing a bikini with white ruffles and a light pink base. Rika walked over to the hot spring, set her towel down, and put her feet in to check the temperature. Hmm...perfect! Rika slowly went into the hot spring. When she settled near the middle, she sighed. "Ahhhh......the birds are out, the flowers are blooming, and the sun is giving just enough sunlight, while the few clouds prevent the sun from blinding anyone. I could stay here all day." said Rika, slipping all the way, head under, with her eyes closed into the hot spring water.
(This RP is for Rika, a mystery guy, and any other girl who would like to join in is welcome)

The wind blew slightly harder than it did a second ago. Her hat blew with the sudden force. She watched it fly and land in the hotspring. Another girl was already there. Kohaku wrapped her very long hair up with one arm, wishing to hide it then waved her hand to grab her attention. "Excuse me! Could you get that for me?"
Kohaku was making her way down to the hot spring anyway. She was dressed in a dark blue one-piece bathing suit. But that was hidden under shorts and a t-shirt. Instead of her usual scarf, she wore a black collar.

"Sure." said Rika, taking the hat, walking out of the hot spring, and giving it to her. "I'm Rika, nice to meet you." she said, bowing. Rika looked at the person standing in front of her, not sure if he/she was a boy or girl. She didn't want to be rude by asking, but she had to know. "Sorry if this is rude to ask, but, are you a boy or a girl? It's hard to tell with you being covered up like that." she said, gesturing to the hat and collar.

Kohaku took the hat. It was wet but she put it back on anyway. "Ah, don't worry about confusing me. I'm used to it." She stuffed her hair back under her hat, returned the bow. "My name is Kohaku. It's a boy and girl name, but I am a girl." She brushed off some of the specks of water that dripped on her face.

Dareynn sighed; he was covered in cold, dirty water from falling into the stupid pool at the bottom of the waterfall in the forest. He could hardly believe he'd fallen off the cliff, taking into account his fear of heights.
After getting back to the school, he had grabbed clean clothes from the dorm he shared with Neku and headed to the hot springs, figuring that would feel better than a shower. He had grabbed his swimsuit, too; he'd have to deal with being shirtless.
He was in the guy's side of the changing rooms; he had pulled on the swimsuit all ready and tossed his dirty clothes into his bag after removing the clean ones. Shoving it all in an empty locker and setting his shoes infront of the locker, he tossed a clean, fluffy white towel over his shoulders and headed out the door to the hot springs.
When he got outside, goosebumps rose on his arms; it was windy, and his soggy hair wasn't helping. He could see steam rising from the spring, and that made him glad. He was ready for something hot after his dip in the freezing water he'd been in earlier.
He set his towel down and slipped walked over to the edge of the pool, glad no other guys were there. He hated people seeing him without a shirt on; he had so many scars it was ridiculous. His skin was barely visible beneath all the scars that littered his torso and upper arms, the reason he always wore long sleeves.
He slipped into the hot water quickly, fully submerging himself for a moment before coming up for air. As the heat warmed him, he sighed contentedly and leaned back, sinking under the water until only his eyes were above the surface.

Kohaku heard a splash in the water somewhere. She couldn't quite see because of the steam. "Why, Rika, I do believe there is another guest somewhere."
She cupped her hands around her ears and listened. It was for the most part quiet. The only thing she could hear was the moving water. But she decided to stay where she was and let someone else find the newcomer.

Rika turned around, and saw a head in the water. She walked over to the hot spring, and just when she got to the edge, she lost balance and fell, landing in Dareynn's arms. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" said Rika, looking at the boy.

Dareynn chose to ignore the girl that called out to him; he didn't care if they wanted to talk to him. He didn't want to talk. He closed his eyes, letting the warmth sink into his body. It felt so good after the cold water in the forest...
He tipped his head back so he could take a quick breath, then sank underneath the water again, his eyes still closed. Then, all the sudden, there was a splash and a girl was sitting on him.
Dareynn's eyes flew open as the girl apologized, his entire body going rigid. He thought about shoving her away, but he couldn't make himself move. "Get off me," he said, his hands clenching the rock beneath him. He hoped she hadn't taken notice of the state of his torso, and, if she had, that she wouldn't ask. He loathed people asking him questions--and then, taking pity on him if he chose to explain. In his eyes, pity was a useless emotion; it was unneeded and worthless. The world would be a better place without it.

Rika got off of Dareynn, sensing negativeness from him. "I'm really, really sorry. And to make it up to you. I'll write you a poem." said Rika, smiling. She went over to a bench, took a notebook and a pencil out of her bag, and started writing.
(just so you know, Emos LOVE writing poems, it's the only way they communicate between friends and loved ones, other than texting.)

//You should have waited for Kohaku to post, Rika... And Dareynn isn't your basic emo. He's not the poem type... And he has no friends, loved one, or any family members.//

(sorry for the lateness...)
Kohaku followed the sound of the splash and watched for the two. She noticed the boy and stared a bit. "Ah, hello there. Are you a student as well?" Kohaku summed him up as she stared. I wonder if he laughs at all... She wondered. People who didn't laugh, she thought, were no fun.

//You'e fine. ^^ // Poem? What did she think he was, some mushy, touchy-feely performing arts kid? ((This is me making fun of another character of mine... XD )) He wrapped his arms around his torso when she scrambled off of him, his attempt at hiding a fraction of the worst scars.
"If I wasn't a student, why would I be here?" was his curt reply to the other girl, the one who hadn't fallen on him. They weren't even supposed to be on the guy's side. Scowling, he ignored them both, dropping his head below the water. The warmth felt good, seeping into his body. His dark hair floated around his face in the water, messing up his usual hairdo. (Not that he really cared; the fall off the cliff and screwed it up all ready.)
He ran his hands through his hair roughly, trying to get all the mud and gravel that clung to his black locks out. His hair felt coarse and slimey when it got really dirty, and that drove him nuts.

(your character is hard to be romantic with. What exactly does he like in a girl?)
Rika stopped writing and ripped it up. "Fine. And don't think I can't see all of your scars.' said Rika, tears in her eyes. "If you weren't so closed up like this, you would definitely have more friends."

"Well, I'm sorry, Mr. 'Don't-look-at-me-I-have-scars-everywhere,'" Kohaku snapped back. "Maybe they let the kids from the city come here." She snorted in annoyance and shifted her hat a bit.
"Why do you even hide the scars anyway?" she asked crossing her arms. "If you hate pity, tell people, 'I don't want your pity.' Gosh! You're not getting pity from me."
She probably sounded like an insensitive jerk, but she hated it when people didn't tell others what they wanted sometimes. At times, it was OK to keep your wants to yourself, but other times she was just in a bad mood and got irritated by stuff like that.
