Standing in the classroom leaning against the wall was the teacher, Yoruichi Shihion. She had her arms crossed wearing her usual fighting outfit though she still had the orange sweatshirt on underneath. The black cat was waiting for her class to begin. She wondered how many students would be signing up for this class. And how many that she would have to be training. She had trained many of the shinigami in the Soul Society. But this would be a different style of fighting. Just combat with weaponry. And any abilities they might have since she had been told some people had them. Like how she had her lightning and flash abilities. She was looking forward to this though.
Yoruichi saw some swords had been provided for the clas to use. She went over to one and took it out of the case. Just a basic sword. Nothing like a zanpakutou. She swished it in the air hearing the sound that it made. Not bad. She put the sword back before taking a glance at the clock. Class would be starting soon. She wondered if her assistant teacher would be coming soon. She hadn't met him or her yet and she was hoping to at least get a chance to talk to her and maybe plan some things out since they would be working together with these students.
She wandered around the classroom getting bored yet again. She liked to have fun and what could she really do when it was just her in the class. She knew that she would probably end up teasing her students like she did with Ichigo and Byakuya many years back. It just wouldn't be her if she didn't.

Luke rushed to the combat class. nsure who was going to be teaching, but he just wanted to learn more and more and before a great fighter and protector. He figured this class would be able to help him in all that. After all, there was really no sign of Master van anywhere for the time being, might as well get training while you can.
Holding his own sword strapped to his back, Luke rushed through the doors of the classroom. It was empty.
He tilted his head and looked around till his dark green eyes finally met with those cat-like ones of the teacher. He felt a gulp run down his throat as he could already tell she was going to be tough. Maybe even tough than Mr. Piccolo. Nah...
Whatever the case, this had to be the teacher. Moving onward, Luke took a bow before her and raised himself up, looking back to her eyes. "I am your student, Luke fon Fabre. A pleasure to meet you." He made sure to be as serious as possible.

Ryo rushed to his next class, Combat class, with high hopes that he would be able to pass this class. Growing up in Shinjuku, Ryo was one tough little punk. After all, he was the only boy in a house with two older sisters and no father, so he felt like he had to be tough in order to protect his family. He never backed down from a fight, from elementary school to middle school and now high school, there was a class for it! He wondered what type of teacher he would get and what type of opponents he would face. He couldn't wait and he would make sure that he wasn't late. Ugh, he wondered what the penalty was if you was late to class. Ryo didn't want to think about it, it would be best not to even give the teacher the chance.
Ryo slammed pass the doors into the combat room, panting heavily. He wiped his forehead and looked around: The room was spacious, a great place to practice fighting at. Ryo walked around, examining the room. He smoothed down his hair and dug in his pocket, pulling out a sour, green-apple lollipop. He popped it into his mouth and looked at the lady walking around. Was she the teacher? He made his way next to a student who was presenting himself.
"Suzuki, Ryo ma'am," He said smirking. Ryo wasn't as serious as the other student with his introduction though Ryo was a playful person. He turned to the other student and extended his hand, pushing his candy to the other side of his mouth so he would be able to talk properly.
"Hey dude, Ryo. Luke, right? What year are you?"

"I think this is the combat room..." Lavi thought. He peeked his head around the slightly opened door. His eyes scanned the room. Serious-looking guy with a sword, some other laid-back dude with a lollipop, female teacher, swords somewhere in the corner, female teacher. "Heh, heh..." Lavi chuckled. "Cute - female teacher." He walked into the classroom.
He spun himself around in a slow, full circle. "Nice place you got! I'm Lavi." This was directed at the teacher who he had heard was called 'Yoruichi Shihoin.' And she looked bored. Hopefully she would make the class interesting, though. Lavi was anticipating a good fight. He hadn't had a decent Akuma to battle in a while and he had a great urge to pound something with his Innocence. Fingering the Innocence strapped to his belt, he thought of something. There were only swords that he saw in the classroom.
"Is it OK if I just use a hammer?" Lavi asked. He didn't use swords much. He used daggers or something small like that, but not swords. And he was much more accustomed to is Innocence item than anything else he ever used before.

Ryo turned his head to see another student enter in. He was a red-head, just like Ryo. Ryo just loved red-heads. Ryo thought, until the class started it would be a good way to catch the teacher's eye and show her a bit of his 'skills'. A sly grin appeared on his face as he swiftly spun around at the newcomer, pointing towards him. Ryo walked to the weapon rack and took a sword off of it. Obviously, because of safety reasons, they weren't sharp enough to kill. That would be plain stupid to have deadly weapons inside of a class. Though they would cause a pretty bruise.
"You can use whatever you want, kid. Levi? Ryo Suzuki, sword extrodinare," He lied. Ryo wasn't a stranger with swords, though he was no expert on them. Hand to hand combat was a different story, however weapons wasn't his best department. But hey, combat worked in all branches. Who said you had to limit yourself to just hands? Ryo held his sword and walked to the middle of the room, eyeing at Levi.
"Of course, you're not scared, right?" He taunted.

"It's Lavi..." he said. "And I guess if you want to use titles, I'm Lavi, the 49th in the line of Bookman."
It seemed like this kid, who called Lavi a kid, was picking a fight. Lavi sized him up. He didn't look too experienced with weapons. But he looked like an experienced fighter nonetheless. "You seem full of yourself, Ryo. Trying to impress a girl?" This Ryo character seemed to like mischief. Or maybe that was just his opinion. "Well, if it's a fight you want, I'll gladly accept - Innocence! Activate!"
A match was inescapable now. Both had drawn their weapon. The red-head Ryo with a class sword, and Lavi with his Innocence. His Tettsui activated on command and grew to Lavi's desired size - impossibly large and heavy looking. It was bigger than no one but the Innocence accommodater could handle. Lavi hefted his weapon with ease. "And who would be scared of a guy with a lollipop?"
"Your move."

"Lavi!" He said scruffing through his hair. Ryo wasn't a person who could get names down point. Then again, Levi could be Lavi's nickname -- more like an annoying pet name than a nickname. "Sorry, mr. 49. Well, I'm Ryo; The red-headed um... youngest brother of the Suzuki household." Ryo was dissapointed that he had no cool title he could give himself. 49th of Bookman made Lavi sound so important, Ryo was just born the baby of the family from two older sisters.
Ryo blushed a little and shook his head. The only girl in here was the teacher and she was too old for Ryo (mind you that wouldn't stop him from trying), though if she was a little bit younger... nevermind that. "I'm not exactly the innocent type --" Ryo started to say. He looked as Lavi's weapon, Innocence, and his eyes widened. Ryo looked at the pathetic sword of his and at Lavi's hammer, wondering how he would be able to match against this. Ryo loosely gripped his sword and moved his lollipop to the side, grinning.
"People who eat nuget bars and dentists," Ryo joked. He hated both of those things, a disgrace to the candy world. But all joking aside, it was time for a fight. Ryo dashed near Lavi but made sure to keep his distance. A good hit off of that hammer, "Innocence", could innocently send Ryo to the infirmary. Ryo stepped closer and looked at Lavi's weapon.
Timing his attack, Ryo made a jump for Lavi's hand with his sword. If he could make him drop it, then he could go in on Lavi.

"Extend!" Lavi commanded as he placed Tettsui hammerhead down. The iron handle of his Innocence extended so he easily avoided the oncoming attack. This Ryo person knew timing well. Lavi smiled.
Finally, a good opponent. Or was he? It was still too early to decide.
Now Lavi had to decide whether or not he would actually use one of his attacks. There was a possibility that he would burn down the building and Excorcists' salaries weren't exactly the best. He could just send the bill to Komui... Nah, probably not worth the trouble. So the Hiban option was out unless he had permission from a teacher and was outside. And if there was some fire-extinguishing team nearby. But he decided to just stick with swinging.
Lavi landed back on the ground and swung his equipment-type Innocence at Ryo, returning an attack.

Nayru had just entered the room, noticing that she wasn't the only one here. She had noticed Lavi fighting with some boy that she couldn't recognize, blinking. "What's going on?"

Kohaku watched another student enter into the combat classroom. No one had noticed Kohaku though, except maybe the teacher as skilled as she seemed, and she had been inside the room for a while. But the student that just came in had asked what was going on and Kohaku felt obliged to answer.
Pulling her cap to the side, she responded. "Ah, see these two here?" she said motioning toward the one called Ryo and the other called Lavi. "The red-head with the sword started picking a fight with the red-head who has a hammer. And that's basically it." Kohaku watched the proceeding fight intently. "I kind of have the urge to join them."

Nayru went wide eyed as she saw Lavi with a hammer. "Is he crazy?!" she shouted.

"Is Lavi crazy? Maybe, maybe. It's a fight! Crazy just like me!"
Kohaku looked up and scratched her cheek. "Hee hee... Sorry... It's my habit to talk in poetry sometimes. Spur of the moment haiku." But she wasn't lying when she said she may be crazy, too. She really did want to join the fight. It looked fun and who said girls couldn't fight a guy. Back home, that's how she first made friends. Beat the neighborhood boys, that's what she did. But they were true friends and not friends out of fear.

"Hey, you in the scarf!" Lavi called to the girl he just noticed. "Wait... I have a scarf, too... GAH! Girl in the hat! You just call me crazy?!" Lavi then noticed Naryu Calibur standing next to her. "Oh, hey, Naryu!"

Nayru blinked and laughed a bit at her saying. She then saw Lavi and smiled at him, waving.

Ryo looked at the hammer extend, his jaw dropping once again. That only made this fight even harder, a challenge: Something Ryo was dying for. He was about to go and attack until two girls entered the combat room, watching the two fight. It appeared as if Lavi knew one of them and the other one wearing the scarf and the hat was explaining the current situation. Ryo turned to Lavi and flashed four fingers, meaning four minute break.
"Not the least bit crazy. Impulsive as my sisters would say, not crazy," He said with a winky and a friendly smile. "Ryo Suzuki, year 2. Nayru, correct?"
Ryo crunched his lollipop and held the stick in his hand, twiddling it with his fingers. If he threw it down on the floor, the teacher would only shout and get him in trouble. First day of combat class, he didn't want detention.
