Kagome raced through the forest, not caring where she went, just wanting to get away, to erase the image forever burned in her memory. She panted, nearly spent, but pushed herself past the limits, welcoming the physical exertion. As she ran, she wiped her sleeve across her eyes to clear them of excess moisture. She was NOT crying. She couldn't be. She...
As she began to slow a little, she noticed the sting of many scratches covering her face, arms, legs... but she didn't care. The pain helped. Slightly. Spotting a tree with a low branch, Kagome swung up into it. She climbed up a ways and sat on a wide branch with her back against the trunk, her knees drawn up to her chest and her arms wrapped around them, to keep the hole she felt in her chest from expanding. She felt as if she was going to pieces.
Sobbing, she rocked back and forth. Why was this happening? Why here, why now? She quieted her wracking sobs, but tears still ran down her cheeks unchecked. She didn't care how she looked, although she was sure she looked terrible, red swollen eyes from crying, leaves and bracken clinging to her clothes and in her hair. But she didn't care. She didn't care about anything anymore.
InuYasha... his name sent her into a fresh bout of tears. She loved him, had loved him for a long time, and thought he loved her too! Evidently it was all nothing, had meant nothing to him. Nothing. Just like she convinced herself that he would mean nothing. From here on out, she resolved to harden her heart toward the young half-demon who had captured it unknowingly.
Curled up as she was, Kagome could hear nothing beyond the sound of her own stifled sobs.

Koga was out and about in the forest as he heard it was a somewhat calm and peaceful place. A good area to run in circles to train for the new day ahead. He was moving past the trees and the darkened shadows with graceful speed. But not his normal speed that he takes when going on long journeys. It was more like a jog in his case.. but he was still going an insanely amount of speed.
But his pointed ears were twitching with curiosity as the sounds of solid sobs caught his eardrums. "Hmm?" He began to skid to a stop. His crisp blue eyes darted around confusingly. Finally, his feet halted to a widened area where there were some taller trees about. His nose began to do all the sniffing. He caught a smell. One he recalled to love a while back.
Was it?
Could it be?
Koga continued to follow the sent like a true dog. Curious and trying to fit the piece to the puzzle. Finally, his darkened blue eyes caught the sight of a familiar figure. His eyes widened. "..K-Kagome..?" He whispered to himself. He continued to hear the constant sobs of the young woman with raven black hair. He huffed with a sad sigh. Why was she so sad...? For another thing, what was she doing all the way up there by her lonesome self...?
Swiftly, Koga's legs bent down towards the ground and with a graceful jump, his feet met with the same branch that the girl was sobbing on. His feet braced to it as was his clawed hands. He remained at a knelt stance and lurked towards Kagome. "Kagome??" He questioned.Koga was never really good when it comes to making others feel better...well.. he always controlled the Wolf Demon Tribe where no one really had feelings for such drama.... so this would be a challenge. "Are you alright?" He asked, knowing she was most likely not alright.

Kagome stiffened as she heard noises in the forest. Seriously, that had better not be InuYasha coming after her, otherwise she could not guarantee that he would walk away from this spot. Limp... maybe. Drag himself by his claws, more likely. And unable to move at all... the best possibility yet. She began drawing up battle plans in her mind, wiping her tears swiftly away. She did not want him to see just how much he had hurt her. Nothing, remember? she reminded herself. He means nothing. But that didn't mean she didn't want to kick the crap out of him.
But when Kagome opened her eyes to search for the source of the noises, she nearly fell out of the tree. And all she needed was to break something physically...
For there, crouched on his muscular haunches right in front of her, was Koga!
Kagome swiped at her face, unaware that tears were still streaming down her cheeks. She blinked several times in shock. First InuYasha was here, and then Koga? What WAS this place- feudal Japan all over again?
"Kagome??" He said her name in shock; it sounded almost like a question to her. "Are you alright?"
A sudden look of hurt and anger come over her lovely face. She didn't care that she was slightly pleased to see Koga- she ignored that feeling and instead shouted at him, releasing her pent up feelings.
"Do I LOOK like I'm alright?" she said, getting in his face. "Do I really LOOK like it? Of COURSE I'm not "alright"! I just caught InuYasha CHEATING on me, in the throes of passion with a... a... TRAMP!!! NO, I'M NOT ALRIGHT!" She was screeching now. "What the hell are YOU doing here anyway? Did HE send you?" Kagome broke down into sobs again, giving up the fight in herself. She threw herself into Koga's arms, knocking them both off balance. "Koga..." she muttered. "Hi."

Inuyasha slid the top layers of his kimono back on as he stumbled through the woods, suddenly taken over by a state of completely shock and well.. fear. Kagome was a scary woman when she was angry. He let out an irritated sigh. Figures this would happen. Figures when I finally let go, she would come around. He tied the final layer of his kimono on his body, looking up to the sky which still shone as bright as ever, his amber eyes seeming to be searching for some kind of answer. But he found nothing.
He found his mind immediately wandering back to what had happened. Lien, her beauty, her perfection, everything about her which drove him insane with the greatest feeling he'd ever felt in his life. God, did he hope she wouldn't take this the wrong way. He had a feeling deep within his chest she would, that she would think Inuyasha was crawling back to Kagome. But he wasn't. Despite his immense feeling for Lien, however, he still felt that he should atleast make sure Kagome didn't hurt herself. He had witnessed the many things over the years she had gotten herself into when upset- or even, hell, when she was happy and just not paying attention.
He clenched his fists as his thoughts went deeper. This could only happen to me. This could ONLY HAPPEN to ME. He cursed himself in his mind. Kagome left him for the modern world. He came after her. His intent was to find her. He could not control what happened instead, he could not control what he had found. And he couldn't control how his feelings had taken a rapid turn, and now his heart was growing for Lien, and only her. First it was with Kikyou she got made at, and now this. He just couldn't win.
From the distance he heard sobs, making his stop in his tracks and look around. "K-Kagome?" He choked, barely audible. He followed her scent deeper into the woods, eventually coming upon her form. However, that wasn't all he sensed. He also sensed.. wolf. Wolf demon. Koga? This couldn't get any worse. He stood behind a tree for a moment, watching as Koga arrived. His eyes narrowed, never trusting Koga, never had. Stupid wolf is probably trying to take advantage of her being upset.
How to even begin? How to even show himself? Inuyasha did NOT cheat on her, as much as she wanted to say so. They were no item. They were not officially together. And who knows what she had been doing before he arrived at the school? He clenched his fists once more in irritation, unable to believe the stupid situation which had come out of this.
Well, might as well get it over with. He stepped from behind the tree, his golden eyes locked upon Kagome. What was there to say? What was there to explain? It is what it is. She saw it all- there was no misinterpretation. He couldn't lie. He was sleeping with Lien. He wanted her, he needed her, and there was nothing that could cover that. There was nothing he could say to hide it. And, well, as usual, he was going to have to suffer the wrath of Kagome for his actions.

Koga nearly jumped from his balanced pose as she shouted to him of her situation. His eyes wildly blinked to her with uncertainty and sorrow. Poor girl. That stupid mutt face treating her MORE like crap? He never liked that half Demon from the start, and with him doing...that.. He shook his head at her and sighed. He understood she was mad and took the word filled beating. She needed to let out her anger it seemed...and that stupid mutt was no where to beat on...
In the middle of her rage, Koga was beginning to grow defensive. She yelled in wonder as to why he was here and if...HE sent him. Koga shook his head. "N-No. I'm the new Gym Teacher.... I arrived yesterday...... I had no idea you'd be here... I am so sorry, Kagome.. I can leave now if- Before he could finish, Kagome moved into his arms in a sob. His eyes blinked with more uncertainty and confusion. He let his arms wrap around her calmly. "Heh... Hi Kagome..." Koga replied back with a small chuckle. Kagome deserved way more then this...and what that mutt was giving her was none to bare minimal....
He sighed and held her tightly. He felt some cuts on her arms. Seems she was really running from that stupid half demon. He let out a small sigh. "I am sorry that Mutt treated you this way, Kagome. You don't deserve this.. especially form him.." He whispered to her, continuing to hug her warmly. She needed someone, and it id not seem like anyone near by was willing to help a sobbing girl who just witness her once true love doing ....that ...with someone else....
Koga felt a different scent meet with his nose. One he always recalled cringing to. He closed his eyes and took in a deep breath, letting out a strong, pain filled sigh. "Damn Mutt..!" He held onto Kagome as she still held to him. His blue eyes turned to the Half Demon. A snarl among his well shaped face. "Look what you've done now, Mutt face?! How could you treat Kagome this way!? She didn't deserve this!! Kagome is a wonderful, Beautiful woman, and I say you don't dare deserve her!!" A bit of growl and rage in his voice. Was this guy really coming apologize to her? Koga was not happy at this stupid half demon....

Kagome wobbled a little as she threw herself into Koga's arms. "Whoops. Sorry," she said quietly. "For yelling at you. And almost knocking you over." She sighed, drying the last of her tears... so she thought. But they were STILL running down her face, and wouldn't be stopping anytime soon. Her tear-streaked face tilted upward to look into Koga's eyes. "You're the new teacher? I didn't know that... No, don't leave!" She hugged him fiercely. "Please," she whispered quietly. "I... I know I may not be the best company as of now, but... please don't go." She felt his arms, warm and strong around her, listening as he grumbled about InuYasha.
"That's right," she whispered. "Stupid mutt." Tears coursed down her face anew, but the incapacitating pain that clawed at her being and threatened to drown her seemed a little... less in his presence. She snuggled in his arms, pressing her face into his chest and letting her arms slip around his strong waist. She sniffed and closed her eyes, content.
Suddenly she felt Koga tense, and her breath hissed out. She heard him mutter "Damn Mutt..!" and immediately knew what he was talking about. She tightened her arms around him and pressed her face into his neck, not wanting to look up. But she did, with vengeance in her glare.
She stared down at InuYasha with a cold expression, her eyes still pouring tears. "What the HELL do you want?" she hissed through clenched teeth. "You just couldn't stab me with the knife, you have to follow me and twist it good? What are you doing here at the school anyway? You just couldn't leave me alone, could you? I waited for you, for so long... I loved you! I still do! But I never thought you loved me. And to find you here... with her" Kida spat angrily, "well, that just confirms it, doesn't it. All the time we spent together, I thought you cared for me. Just a little. But I guess not." Her expression turned sad. "You never loved me, did you? I waited for you... but I see now that I waited for nothing. When I came here, I was trying to move on... I missed you so much!... but then I found Will, and I thought I was getting over you, just a little... and then he ignored me, just like you had... and... and now..." Kagome broke off, deep sobs wracking her body. She covered her mouth in her hands and buried her face into Koga's neck. "Just... just go away," she sobbed in a whisper, knowing he could still hear. "You rejected me. Leave me alone. That shouldn't be too hard for you."

Inuyasha didn't even bother looking at Koga, deciding not to even acknowledge him. He doesn't even know whats going on or what happened. He's just conveniently here because she's upset at me. He thought angrily, clenching his fists for a moment before releasing them once more. He stared blankly at her for a few moments, before looking down at the ground as she yelled. He took it all in, allowing her to let it all out at him. Hearing her last few comments, however, his amber eyes shot up at her as his eyebrows furrowed.
"Are you kidding me, Kagome?! How many times can you contradict yourself in one paragraph, huh? You ask me why I can't leave you alone, but you said you waited for me? You said you loved me, but you went with another guy?" His clenched his fist, raising it to his chest as he defended himself. How could she say all of these things? It was as if she was just saying garbage for the sake of argument. "I did love you, Kagome! But you left, and you never even bothered coming back, and when I chased after you, you're with another guy! How can you play the victim?"
He watched as she broke down into tears once more, making his face soften a bit. Things may have changed, but he was always going to care about her. As much as she wanted to slit his throat at this point, he would always care. He folded his arms against his chest, letting out a soft sigh as he looked down to the ground once more. "I'm sorry, Kagome." He stated simply, his eyes making their way back to her tear stained face. "Not for what I did. But for the fact you had to see it, and we never had any closure. I cared for you, I cared for you a lot. I still care. But i've moved on. You jerked me around long enough." And with that he closed his eyes, turning his body away from the two of them.
"Have fun with wolf boy. Goodbye, Kagome." He turned his head towards her once more. If he was going to turn away from her, he had to do it now before he thought about it too much. When Inuyasha is in an argument, he is stubborn. He doesn't want to give up, he wants to shove his point down your throat until you just give up and say fine. But something told him that wasn't going to work this time.

Koga continued to hold Kagome as she yelled back to Inu Yasha. He was expecting a sort of anger issue he often got from the mutt, but he was entirely ignored on that part. This angered the great wolf demon greatly. He hated to be ignored....especially when he had something important to say. Inu Yasha was acting so...different then from what koga recalled in all those odd adventures from before. What was going on Was the mutt really in love with someone finally?
Sheesh....
Koga was unsure of the entire situation, but he did not like the tone Inu Yasha took with both himself and Kagome. He slowly moved Kagome from his torso and gave her a nod of his head. He rested her back to the stump and held his balance on the branch. As the stupid half demon began to take his leave in a semi-dramatic way, Koga swiftly leapt from the tree and in milliseconds, appeared to the side of Inu Yasha. In a split second of time, his jewel shard harnessing right leg sent a side swipe to his face, sending him to the tree near by.
"I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU, MUTT!" He roared as he landed gracefully to the ground. His claws were out and his teeth were bare. A low growl continued through his throat even as he was not talking. "Ya know, I had a tiny bit of respect for ya over time, but now that I see you... You've just become a love sick puppy and lost the one thing that loved you! Sure, you may have found the one you love, but will she ever be a Kagome? No! You lost your chance, Mutt!" Koga growled, pointing his right pointer finger at Inu Yasha's direction.
"You're a disgrace to all Demons! Half or Full!"

He felt a sharp sting shoot throughout his face, as his body crashed up against the tree. As blood slowly trickled down the side of his head, his eyes focused on the ground, before making their way slowly up to the wolf demon, screaming and pointing at him. He grinned at Koga's disgrace comment, taking a second to wipe the blood from his face. He chuckled, standing up slowly, as he gave the wolf a toothy grin. He slowly made his way towards the wolf, his claws shooting out from his fingertips.
"A disgrace, huh.." He chuckled, his amber eyes wild as he stared the wolf down. His eyes quickly shot over to Kagome before making their way back to him, standing within feet of Koga. The corner of his lip upturned, baring a few of his teeth. "I like how you're conveniently here when she's upset.. funny.. that's how it always seems to work out, isn't it?" He glared at the wolf, standing just before him, piercing him with golden eyes.
"Taking a cheap shot at me doesn't make you right, wolf boy. What do you care? Now you get her all to yourself. Isn't that what you always wanted?" His eyes narrowed, slowly raising one clawed hand. He doesn't truly care about Kagome's feelings. He's just playing hero because that's what makes him look good. He wants her all to himself. With that he charged up to Koga, slashing him across the chest before he even knew what was coming.
He then jumped back from him, blood trickling from his finger tips. He grinned, his eyes still slightly narrowed at the wolf. If this is what Koga wanted, then he was going to get it. But he wasn't going to waste his time. If this was simply going to turn into another bitch fight like always, he'd take his leave.

Koga felt anger coursing through him as the filthy half demon spoke. He acted almost superior... the fool. He was still a love sick puppy. He lost the one thing Koga aimed to please. Seeing this half demon treat her...that way.. It was simply unforgivable... Did this mutt really care about her? because, from what he could smell from him and the way Kagome spoke on him... he did something he really should not have done if he truly love Kagome.
"My god... you are a fool.." Koga hissed as Inu Yasha's words finished. In seconds, Koga felt a sharp pain meet with his chest. "Gah!!" He held his chest for a moment and still held his guard up. His blue eyes turning to see the half Demon by him. Koga's own blood dripping from his clawed finger tips.
"Stupid Mutt!" He called to him in a roar. "I don't see what is so funny about making the one you love cry! Maybe the reason I seem to come at bad times is cause I actually care about her! You're just to selfish to see that!" With that, Koga lept forward with his superior speed and sent a punch to Inu Yasha's face. Koga held his ground as he hissed. "So...go back to your new lover.. It's obvious you don't care for Kagome after all you both went through...letting her go this easily..." At the last few words he found himself talking to really no one... but he was still upset. He hated seeing anyone sad, and Kagome was always hard on the eye when sad. She was most beautiful when she was smiling and full of spirit. Right now, she seemed to brittle to really do much..but cry for the one she cared for.
Sure, Koga was no master at love or had a true understanding of it...but he knew a fool when he saw one...Inu Yasha was never a clever Half Demon...and Koga felt that this time, he'd gone to far... He wanted to at least teach him a lesson.. He was the gym teacher after all..

"That's not what i'm laughing at, you stupid wolf." He said menacingly, his eyes narrowing at the one before him once more. His claws still detracted from his skin, he wiped the blood off of his fingertips like a disease. "I'm laughing at you. How you always play the hero, you always magically come to save the day. Kagome may not see through you, but I do." He spoke sharply, his golden eyes not shifting focus for one second. His arms were still raised defensively, knowing the wolf would attack again at one point or another.
Feeling the punch to his face, he flew back but managed to keep grounded, his feet digging into the soil. He looked down to the ground for a moment, before meeting Koga's eyes once more. Fighting him will make no difference. It is what it is. "Don't act like you know anything. Kagome went for somebody else as well. Just because it didn't work out between them isn't my fault." He paused for a moment, glancing to the silent Kagome before looking back to the wolf.
"It's not up to you, what comes out of this. You get to save the day, and we all move on with our lives. Don't put your dirty wolf nose where it doesn't belong." And with that he lowered his arms, his claws retracting into his skin as he still stared the wolf down. He grinned. "I'm not dealing with your superhero bullshit, I have more important things to do." With that he took one more glance at Kagome, before starting to turn around and walk back to the river.
"Oh, and taking a cheap shot at me while i'm turning away is a bit predictable at this point. But you've never been too creative so guess we'll see." And with that he completely turned away, with each step going deeper into the forest, making his way towards the waterfall.

Koga was not happy with Inu Yasha. Sure they never really got along...half of the reason was for Kagome... Now there was just something so different about the Half Demon. He's so...talkative and... well he still has the same rudeness about him. Koga huffed at Inu Yasha as he spoke of Kagome not seeing right through him and how he can.
"Ok then... If you can see through me...why do I feel you seem to be so blind?!"Koga hissed as Inu Yasha seemed to start to back down. He felt his breaths become less...harbored as his anger began to die down slightly. Part of what Inu Yasha said was true... Fighting really wont solve anything...
"You are just a stupid mutt. I care for Kagome. And fom the little show you just put on for the both of us just shows how much you actually care for her. So yeah, I'm going to go and play the hero you put me out to be and I am going to protect and care for her. Because she deserves much more then the bullshit you're tossing everywhere...." Koga spoke up and watched the Half Demon moved away and heading on back to his... new lover.
Koga had his eyes meet to the ground knowing that stupid mutt most likely did not listen to a word he said. His glare moved from the floor to the distant figure of the half demon. "Bastard..." He held his chest in little pain and looked back to Kagome. A sad expression to his face.
"I-I'm sorry Kagome.." He sighed deeply and closed his eyes as his head moved to the ground. After a small silence, Koga looked back up to Kagome and tilted his head. "I'm thinking you might want to get down there right about now?" He asked her, showing a bit of a grin towards her. She had been up there a while. it'd be best if she got down from there.

Kagome watched as InuYasha accused her of being contradictory. She snorted delicately. HER, contradictory? Whatever. But Koga, faithful Koga, came to her defense, both in word and in action. Her mouth gaped open as Koga struck InuYasha, kicking him across the tiny clearing into a tree, yelling at him for hurting her. She smiled slightly. Why hadn't she noticed Koga's devotion and loyalty before? She looked at him in a new light, interested. But then InuYasha slashed him across the chest, and she gasped. "Koga!" she called, worried. He seemed to shake it off... and the stupid half-demon mutt-faced bastard had the nerve to call Koga out on being a "superhero." She had words to say about that. "InuYasha," she spit angrily, "don't you DARE give him that... bullcrap. DO NOT get involved here anymore. Koga CARES about me, that much is obvious- he has from the beginning, and has always made that clear. Unlike you. You messed with my head, with my heart, making me think you didn't care, but then what about those stolen kisses? Defending me when Miroku tried to grope me, but claiming it was only because I was your personal jewel homing-device? Finally, I left, because I was tired of your emotional bullshit. I was done taking it. And since when did you come after me? I never saw you again. Don't expect me to believe something I never saw evidence of. And finally, when I saw you here, with her... you brought back all of that pain all over again. I had thought I was done with you- tried to get over you- that's why I was ever with Will in the first place, but soon it was obvious to me that I wasn't."
Kagome sat there, staring at him. She didn't know what to think, what to say... what InuYasha accused her of, it was... unthinkable. She betrayed HIM? No. Her heart had always remained true. But she didn't bother to try to convince him of that, because she knew he wouldn't listen. "InuYasha." She spoke quietly, not crying anymore, having resigned herself to the fact that InuYasha didn't love her and she needed to move on. "I know there's no way to convince you of what my heart has felt. You cannot know unless I tell you, which I have, but you didn't believe me. I'm not getting defensive, I'm just letting you know. Koga is right, you ARE blind," she said softly. "And this... I... am his business now. He loves me in a way you never could. I'm sorry InuYasha, sorry that I couldn't have seen what a jerk you were in the first place. I could have spared us all this, but had to be a fool and fall in love with you." She shook her head as he turned to leave. "Don't come running to me when this fling you have is over. I'm not taking you back. Ever again." She smiled at the PURE wolf-demon. "I'm with Koga now, if he'll have me." She watched him walk away, and called after him... "Oh, and InuYasha?" She smiled sickly-sweet at him.
"Sit, boy."
