Just.. dinner. (Open)

[Mochi]

Mochi looked at her food with disgust as she took her tray. There was no way in hell that the brown thing on her plate was meat. Although she didn't expect much from a school, she was still new, so she didn't know how bad the food was here until she saw it for herself. "Maybe I should have went to a restaraunt in that city instead." She muttered. At least the food was cheap here, if not free. She grabbed a bowl of fruit for Rizu and started looking for a place to sit.

The cafeteria, believe it or not, was actually quite crowded today. Most of the seats were already taken. It was less crowded in the back of the room so they searched for some place to sit there. Before long one of them had managed to find a spot. I found us a place to sit. Follow me. Rizu, after stealing one of Mochi's strawberries, floated over to an empty chair. "Hey! That was mine! I bought you a whole bowl of those things!" Mochi whined, now tempted to eat some of his, but decided against it. She placed the tray on the table and sat down.

Hey I only have fruit! You have.. that. Whatever it is. He was now staring at the lump of meat on her plate. Mochi shook her head. No. She was not eating that! "That thing? It looks like something that should be floating in a toilet instead of sitting here on my plate." She picked up a roll from her plate and took a bite out of it instead.

The cafeteria: a place Akane had not eaten in for a long time. It was noisy and filled to the brim with students. Akane scanned the area to find an empty seat. She was about to give up hope when a floating something caught her eye. That's not normal... she thought. But then again, neither was she. It was not her place to judge.

The floating object guided her eyes to an empty seat. So far, that floating thing and a girl sat. Akane shuffled sideways in between the tables and students with her lunch held above her head to the back of the cafeteria. Tapping her hand on the back of a chair, Akane looked up to the table's occupants.

"Do you mind if I sit here?" she asked. Akane took a quick glance at the girl's lunch. An unappealing brown blob of mush met her eyes. She inwardly gagged at the sight of it. Glad I brought my own lunch... she thought. Although, I have seen some things that look like they would taste good.[/color]

[Mochi]

Mochi continued eating, and poking at, her food. "Hmm?" She looked up from her tray when she saw someone approach the chair beside her. The girl looked to be about her age if not a little younger. She had red eyes which she thought was a little strange. As if Mochi could talk though. Although her hair is blonde, if the light is bright enough, it looked almost white! She could just imagine some kid mistakening her for an old lady because of that. She couldn't help but cringe at the thought.

"Do you mind if I sit here?"

Her ears twiched when the girl spoke. "Nope! Go ahead!" The seat wasn't taken so she didn't understand why the girl had to ask. Well, needless to say, Rizu was more than happy to answer that question. That is because she was being polite. Unlike one girl I know that is playing with her food!

Mochi pretended to not hear him. "So.. what's up?" Yeah, it was a random question to ask a total stranger, but it was better than saying nothing. Rizu sighed, figuring it was best to ignore Mochi for now, and continued eating.

((Ack! I'm sorry about how bad this post is. I'm babysitting a bunch of five-year-olds.. and I swear that they are planning my murder or something. T__T))

Akane sat down as she was given the approval to. "Thank you," she said with a smile. She placed her luch on the table and began to eat. It was just plain, white rice with a few vegetables. Nothing special.

"So.. what's up?"

What's down? was the first thought that went through her head. But she silently laughed and said, "Nothing much. And you?" Even though she was talking to the girl, her focus was mainly on the one next to her. Akane's eyes flicked up then back. She knew it was rude to stare.

She shook her head remembering to ask for a name. "My name is Akane Okada. How about yours?" Akane felt awkward talking to someone she did not know. Talking to people was not exactly something she was used to.

((Oh dear! Five-year olds are taking over the world! xD I don't think it's bad.))

[Mochi]

"Huh? Oh, sure. No problem." Mochi was a little confused as to why she was thanking her for the seat even though Rizu already gave her the answer. But she didn't say anything about it.

Rizu finished eating and had pushed his bowl away. Since he was getting tired, he decided to sit on the table. The teachers probably wouldn't want any animals that sat on them. But he didn't care. He just figured that he could just jump off or teleport before they even noticed.

"Nothing much. And you?"

Well, nothing really, which was kind of boring. Then again she just got here so she might find something fun to do sooner or later. "Same thing. Well, I'm still trying to figure out what there is to do at this place, if that counts." She said with a shrug. She didn't even notice that Akane felt uncomfortable talking to her.

"My name is Akane Okada. How about yours?"

It took her a minute to answer. "I'm Mochi. Nice to meet you." She replied, actually remembering her manners this time. Rizu watched as Akane glanced at him once or twice. He really didn't mind- the girl seemed nice enough. My name is Rizu.[/i] He added, mostly paying attention to the crowd of people in the room instead of the conversation.

"Pleasure to meet you both," Akane said while giving a slight nod. She picked at her food suddenly becoming less hungry than a moment ago. It must have been the crowds of people packed in the cafeteria. To take her mind off the people, Akane thought about the one called Rizu. Interesting he was and the curiosity was great. She tapped her fingers on the table.

"So... umm... May I ask what you are, Rizu?"

There were some odd characters at the academy. But Akane had not seen someone or something like Rizu yet. She hoped no one would be offended by the question as she knew some people could be. But she just had to ask.
