"I suppose that's true," Axel replied with a nod. Watching him as he backed into the clothes with his clothes, he started pulling off his own tie and started on the buttons of his white shirt.
"Hey Rox- we're both guys you know. I don't have anything that you don't..." He pulled the shirt off, "What are you gonna do when we have gym?" He laughed to himself, unbuttoning his pants. "If you hide you'll get picked on you know..."
He plucked up a black shirt from the open duffel bag on his bed, shimmying out of his pants before slipping said shirt over his head. He picked up the uniform, placing them gently on his bed like they were a fragile newborn baby.
"Roxas?"

Changing was awkward enough in the dark, and it would have been worse if he'd had clothes in there to press against him, but Roxas managed. He heard Axel chiding about gym class, muffled through the door, but didn't care--that is, until he bumped the door and it fell open a crack to provide a luxurious view of toned back and flame boxers.
His breath caught in his throat. A thought struck him that hadn't before--the sudden nervousness around Axel made sense for just a second--but then it was gone, a faint inkling mixed with a disarming confusion that seemed to make his stomach drop out of him.
What...?
"Roxas?"
"Hm? Oh, sorry." He slipped out, seizing up his vest and making sure he had his cell phone, wallet, room key, and the ever-present blue bauble with him. "I know there's gym but...it's just been a while since all that communal stuff, y'know? I gotta get used to it again." He tugged on one shoe and worked his foot into the other, gripping the wall for balance. "We ready?" he asked Axel, opening the door and looking back.

He laughed as he turned back around, dark blue jeans in his hands. "Once you're ready to come out of the closet," He replied with a devilish twinkle in his emerald green eyes, "Just kidding...let me put on my pants first, okay?"
He pulled them on, slipping a black belt around his slim hips. He looked around, "Where the hell are my fucking shoes?" He asked irritably, looking around his bed, tossing clothes out of his duffel bag, "Hey Rox', are they in the closet by any chance?" He asked, face half in the dark blue bag. His belt was doing a poor job of hiding his boxers and he stood up straight, scratching his stomach.

"Out of the--Axel, don't be dumb!" Roxas snapped, vacating the closet in favor of moving to the dormitory door. "We're never gonna get outta here if you d--"
"Just kidding...let me put on my pants first, okay?"
SLAM
"Shit, sorry!" Roxas called from the door he'd just opened only to slam it shut again at those words. Axel definitely wasn't as self-conscious as he was, but that didn't mean Roxas wanted to let the door hang open on him--this was a co-ed dorm, after all.
Then he blinked in surprise as Axel started looking for his shoes, distracted by the hint of flames just under his belt. "You're probably gonna need a jacket or something, too," he added, grateful for the opportunity to dive into Axel's closet to search. "I see London, I see France, Axel." He nudged a few things aside with his feet. "Which ones are you looking for?"

"What the hell kid! You've seen me in my skivvies before!" He said with an exasperated sigh, "Oh ahaha that was the main door." He laughed.
He looked over at him, "A jacket, why? It's summer!" He frowned to himself, stuffing clothes back into his duffel bag, "Aw Rox stop lookin' at my choniesss," He whined just like a little kid, "The slip-on ones- ahh! Found them!"
He pulled black slip-ons with skulls on them from the crook of his bed and the wall, throwing them on the floor and dancing around a bit to get his feet into them.
"Anyway," He said with a grin, grabbing his wallet from the dresser, and slipping it into the back pocket of his snug jeans. "Chicks dig flame boxers ya' hear? Haha naw. This is the only belt I have and it's a little big," He admitted.

Skivvies? Chonies?!
Roxas had to press a knuckle to his lips to keep from laughing and managed to cut it down to a smirk, barely able to keep Axel from seeing it as he slipped back out of the closet and turned to the door again. Axel's way with words wasn't new, but somehow the way he threw those two out one after the other and whined the second one like that just tickled Roxas.
"Yeah, yeah. 'Cause you got girls all over you," he chided, only half-joking. He'd seen how Larxene used to drape herself over Axel like a prized wench, and there'd always been a little resentment there. Roxas had always figured it was just because Axel was his best friend and she wasn't a part of that, but he couldn't figure out where Larxene's kind of molestation fit into "best friends."
For that matter, the idea of a bunch of girls tittering over Axel's "chonies" actually...kinda sucked.
Hm.
"Anyway, can we go already? We take too long and we're gonna miss the last bus. And the boogeyman'll get us," he added with a devilish grin back at Axel. That was, after all, pretty much the sentiment back when the welcome wagon had been outlining the rules and regulations.

"Girls?" He asked incredulously, "All over me? Pft. Some girls wouldn't touch me with a ten foot pole, considering I'm such an ass," He lifted his arms up in a small shrug. "What's with the face, man?" He asked, looking around to see if there was anything else he needed for the Eat Icecream expedition.
Deciding he'd grabbed everything that he needed, he came towards the door, hearing Roxas' next statement and smirking majestically, leaning against the wall with his elbow and his hip cocked slightly, "Aw, Roxxie, if the bogeyman or Nosferatu or something scary comes out I'll protect you," He teased, ruffling the shorter's hair.
Promises, promises, huh? he thought to himself as he pushed past into the hallway. He didn't know how much 'protecting' he was capable of. Back at the Castle it was all about sabotage and kicking ass...and right now his powers were limited without his elemental weapon, his chakrams. Dying wasn't a really big deal to him though, especially if it was for someone else's sake. He laughed internally. Did he even have morals?

Roxas snickered, batting Axel's hand away more out of habit than anything else. "Protect me? Yeah, right. I'm the one who beat your ass six ways to Sunday every time we got to sparring." Better not to mention those...other two times that weren't sparring.
Clearing his mind of them, Roxas locked the door behind him and caught up to Axel, feeling unusually short as he always did next to Axel's height and long stride. "Unless you've been practicing without me, I'll be the one protecting you," he added, feeling an odd inclination to soften his earlier statement. He lifted an arm like he wanted to put it around Axel's shoulders--wasn't that what best friends did? Flash of brown eyes, faded memory of laughter and ice cream and blond hair against the inside of his elbow--but Axel was too tall for that and Roxas's arm fell around his waist instead. Maybe that was too much, it almost had a strange feel...but it felt right, and Roxas didn't change it as they started out of the dorm building.
Roxas out.

"Awww, I can't be the heroic manly one, once in a while? With short stuff protecting me I'd look like a big chicken," He laughed, "Bokbokbokbokbokbokkkkk," He imitated a chicken noise as he continued down the hall, making his arms into chiken wings and flapping them halfheartedly.
Feeling the arm snake around his waist he gave the boy an incredulous look, then he scrunched his face up, hip bumping him a little with a sadistic grin.
For good measure, he put an arm around his shoulders, figuring it'd be okay since Roxas' arm was in a more inimate area though he knew it wouldn't be if he wasn't so goddamn tall.
Best friends forever, right? That sounds cheesy as Hell but he sure hoped so.
Axel out.
