Dareynn had moved his duffel ontop of his bed after Neku had left earlier with his sister. He was now propped against it, one leg extended and the other bent. His dagger was in his right hand, unsheathed.
He'd been staring at it for about ten minutes straight; the smooth, metallic surface always captivated him. He'd closed the blinds, so the sun didn't make the blade glint, but he still thought it was beautiful.
His stomach growled then, loudly. He'd missed lunch. (Not that he really cared; they never had anything good to eat, anyway.) He'd just have to wait until supper. Or breakfast tomorrow, depending on what he felt like doing. He'd gone a day or two without eating before, just because he hadn't felt like it.
Dareynn set the dagger down between himself and the wall; he'd have to find a hiding place for it soon. Keeping it in his pocket all the time was a pain (literally). Reaching behind him, he drew out one of the knives he kept strapped near the small of his back. It was a simple pocketknife; nothing too flashy; it was actually pretty cheap.
He drew the knife over the skin of his wrist, drawing blood easily. He kept all his knife sharp; dull knives hurt like no other when they cut. The line of blood left behind the blade was sticky and a bright, vibrant red; it stung a little, but Dareynn enjoyed the sting. The corner of his mouth twitched, the start of a smile. He hadn't smiled since he was six; this was always the farthest he got. People that smiled all the time drove him crazy; he couldn't stand it. How could they be so happy? The world wasn't some happy, cheerful, sparkle-filled wonderland; it was torture. Just breathing hurt; how could anyone enjoy that? [/blockquote]

"Rikka, if you didn't want to be lonely, you could had just come to my room and talk o my roommate." stated Neku. Apparently the girl wasn't lost as she doesn't even have a new room yet. The only reason why she went to his room in the first place was because she had gotten lonely at how quiet things were and wanted someone to talk to. Of course she couldn't really talk to anyone at all seeing that most of the school hated or feared her. Whichever one was the case, she had no one to talk to except for Neku. At least, that was unless she would swallow her pride but he knew that was never going to happen. She was not one of those people who would just give up her dignity, she was far too prideful of herself to do that.
All he got was silence as the girl followed close behind him. The thought made him chuckle a bit as it was funny. It was rare for his sister to be the quiet sister who likes to follow him around. The sight of her looking like that was just funny to him. Still he didn't say anything since he didn't want to hurt her pride more than he already did which was most likely not much. He hasn't really said much to hurt her pride, she kind of did most of it herself by walking up to him because she was lonely.
Once they reached his room, he opened the door to see Dareynn have just cut himself. He stood there for a moment, so that was why he brought a knife, to cut himself. Although why would anyone do that to themselves? Doesn't that hurt? His sister seems to have esp or something as she explained to him. Of course, the explanation was more of a remark than anything.
"Oh so he's emo. Hmph, why don't you just go kill yourself already if you're so sick of life?" The last part was for him.
A sigh escaped the older Iramaki's lips. Really, it was hard to see how they were twins in the first place as the only thing they have in common was their dark hair. Other than that, they could be mistaken for cousins. Although that was not the reason why he sighed. He just knew that this was going to lead to trouble. Then again, anything related to RIkka always leads to trouble.

//Switching to first person; third is driving me nuts. >_<; // I looked up as the door opened. Great. Neku was probably going to... Who the freak was the chick with him? It was none of their business what I did, and who did she think she was, talking to me like she knew every little thing about me?
Quite a few answers ran through my mind, most of them pretty cruel. I rolled my sapphire eyes before turning my gaze back to my wrist. A single drop of blood slid down my arm slowly, leaving a nearly transparent red trail in its wake; for a moment, I forgot Neku and the girl--his sister, I assume--were there. "Why do you feel the need to boss people around?" I retorted quietly, my voice harsh.
I'd seen this girl around the school; she certainly wasn't what I'd call friendly. I almost felt bad for Neku; if I could bother myself enough to care, I suppose I'd feel pity. But pity was such a worthless emotion; it was like happiness or hopefullness: no one really needed those emotions. The world would be a better place without them, if you ask me.
The drop of blood that had flowed down my arm was halfway to my elbow. I slid the blade of the knife under the drop, sliding it up my arm so it wasn't all bloody. I wiped the blade on my dark jeans; I'd have to wash them later. Sure, you couldn't see the bloodstains on the black, but I could feel them. The fabric got stiff and it was just troublesome.
I could feel them staring at me; why couldn't they busy themselves with something else? I shifted slightly, my beat-up duffel wasn't the most comfortable thing to lean against. (I wouldn't be leaning on it at all, had I had a pillow that wasn't as flat as a pancake. With an academy like this, you'd think they'd be more willing to put decent pillows on the beds.)

"Why do you feel the need to boss people around?"
Yeah, Neku's new roommate was an idiot if he doesn't know who she was. "Because you're my servant! Why else?" she retorted. Really, this guy was missing a few braincells or something. Even more was that if he was going to try to sound tough, why was he voice so quiet? It was quite contradicting which only made it more fitting that a guy like him was a servant. She had the usual smirk on her face as she folded her arms and rolled her eyes. Now if only he was a little smarter, she might approve of him being in the same room as her best servant and twin.
She walked over and stared at the knife. Really, if you're going to bring a knife, do something better with it. Although she didn't say that and decided to go ahead and be quiet about it, but only because he was her twin's new roommate, otherwise she would had yelled at him."So tell me whats' you name." she commanded him, not even caring about the fact that he had a weapon. Just let him try to kill her, there were witnesses around here anyway so she would love to see him try. The though twas almost entertaining to her.
She slowly turned back to her brother for a moment. He was standing there, silently as usual. She rolled her eyes, man it irks her sometimes to see him act like a little puppet. Even though he was useful because if it, she still didn't like it. The thought of having a puppet for a brother was not one that satisfied her at all. She still didn't say anything about it though and turned back towards the guy. Maybe she should just dub a name for him. Nahh, not yet but if he was not going to answer he question, she sure will.

For a moment, I considered throwing the knife at her, just to see what she'd do. I had pretty good aim for a kid that spent most of his time hiding from his step-father. Then she moved. (Again, the thought struck me, because moving targets were so much more fun.)
Where did she get off calling me her servant? I've been toyed with enough; my freaking so-called step-father made sure of that. "I'm not your toy," I snapped, my voice only a fraction louder than it had been before. I was too used to being quiet, even after putting up with this place.
When she asked my name, I looked up at her. "Dareynn," I answered quietly, my voice monotone. This girl was too much like him for me to even consider being comfortable; just the way she spoke made chills run down my spine.
Sharing a room with Neku was gonna suck bigtime if this girl was around often...

"I'm not your toy,"
Rikka rolled her eyes at his words. God this guy was just plan annoying. She didn't call him her toy, she called him her servant. There is a big difference between the two, toys can easily be broken while servants can be easily fired. Obviously, servants were much more useful as they are less fragile than toys. What, does this guy want to be call a toy or something? Really, she wanted to go ahead and ask him if he had took his medications today, chances are he hasn't yet from the looks of him.
"Dareynn,"
"Dareynn." she repeated for a moment. It didn't sound like a joyful name so it fitted him perfectly. It was as if the name was destined for him or something. She placed her hand on her chin as she pondered on what to do with him. This room was too small in her opinion for three people. Even more was that she was bored with this school right now, being summer, there wasn't exactly anything to do. Most of the students were back at home unlike her, Neku and Dareynn. After a moment though her face brightened up at the idea."Well Dareynn, I'm bored and this place is way too small so I order you and Neku to take me around town today." she stated nonchalantly as she turned her back and stared out the window. The guy probably needs to get out of this boring school even if it's for a small moment anyway.
Eh? Neku stared at his sister for a moment at her command. He blinked for a couple moment. She couldn't be serious right? He wasn't exactly done with everything yet and he still had Summer homework he was suppose to do. He was pretty sure it was the same for her as well which only made it even more strange to him. Really, she had to be joking. Although his sister rarely joked unless one counts her snide sarcastic remarks as jokes as she always seems to enjoy them.
After a small moment though, he could tell that she wasn't joking. She really was bored of this place and needed something to do. Well, better cause havoc outside than in his room right? Although why bring his roommate into this? The guy didn't look like he wanted to go outside and even more was that it was pretty rude to force him. Too bad it seems that none of those thoughts entered the girl's head as she stared at the window. A sigh escaped his lips as he put his hand on the rim of his hat for a moment."And where would you like to go Rikka?" he asked her curiously. He high doubt she had anyway in mind though knowing his sister.

"I've better things to do than play babysitter," I responded, closing my knife. I couldn't believe Neku was going along with it. I had summer reading to do; I hadn't planned on doing it today, but if I had to, I would. I just wanted this girl to leave me alone.
"I'm not going to escourt you around like you're some irriplaceable artifact; go walk around yourself. Get lost on the way back, while you're at it." I sat up and yanked my duffel from behind me so it was between my and Rikka. I struggled with the broken zipper for a moment before it decided to let me unzip it.
I dug through my clothes to find the book I was looking for. Opening it, I leaned back against the headboard and started to read the first page.

As Dareynn read his book, Rikka pouted and walked over to him just to yank it away. "You're not my babysitter, your my servant and we're going outside!" she yelled out at him. Her eyes were like daggers as she refused to lose this battle. Well she refused to lose any battle so this one was no different but she still didn't want to lose. Losing was never an option for her. She hated to lose, losing meant that she was weaker than someone and that was a thought that she could never comply with.
"Now get your lazy a** up and we're going outside!" she ordered him once again not even caring if he objected or not. After all, she was bored with this place and he looked like he could just a life. Since staying inside was boring. She went over to his bag and stared at it for a moment. Wow, this guy was poor. She grabbed the bag and dug through it with no care to see that he didn't have much in it. A couple books, some set of clothes, the basic, nothing that really described him. Bored of the fact that she couldn't pry, she threw the bag somewhere in the room, she didn't pay attention to where it landed.
"Now are you going to go or am I going to have to tame you?" she asked. Her eyes still like daggers.

When she yanked my book away, I scowled at her. I opened my mouth to snap at her, but she yelled at me again, managing to use the same tone my effing step-father always had. It startled me so much I froze, half expecting her to hit me or throw something at me. I almost stopped breathing as I fought to control my pulse. This was a girl, not him! I was fine!
But my body knew that tone and what normally came after hearing it; at least I didn't cower or flinch. I was still trying to regain control of my senses as she dug through and therw my bag; that pissed me off.
"Leave my stuff alone," I snapped, my hand instantly going to my dagger. I hoped she hadn't seen it; it was half under my leg by now, so I assumed she hadn't. My voice wasn't really as strong as I wanted it to be; she'd startled me too much for it to be very menacing.
"Why do you want me to go anyway?" I asked, my jaw clenching after I asked, inticipating the hit it was sure would follow my rash question.

"Why do you want me to go anyway?"
The answer was simple, he was bored out of his mind so why not take him out for some fun. That was the reason why but Rikka doesn't go that way. She never let others know that she can actually be nice or else they won't respect and fear her anymore. She folded her arms and stated "Because, I'm bored and having someone with no opinions to talk to is boring." she answered. She turned to stare at her brother he simply looked down, obviously embarrassed. Yeah, she was going to have to treat him to something and be nice to him for a day to make it up. Although it is quite true, she knew that he was a bit sensitive about that as it was one of the many things that made him seem unhuman. The other one was his hair and how it never seems to bet n his way much.
"Now get up or I'm going to go ahead and make you." she threatened him. Well it was an empty threat really but she did it anyway. After all why shouldn't she? She didn't walk up to him or anything but just stood there, tapping on her feet onto the floor. It was obvious that she was getting impatient.
Although she had to admit, the guy kind of reminded her a bit of herself. Well, maybe she wasn't as depressing as this guy but there was a moment in her life where she gave up and just followed orders. The moment where the queen gave up her throne because she was depressed and staring at him sickened her. She hated people who look like that. Look like what she looked like. It was as if the past her was staring at her and it really sickens her. The thought, the sight, everything about it.
"Now we're going out whether you like it or not as your queen I command you to." she told him.

No opinions? How could someone have no opinions? Was that even possible? My thoughts were cut off as she threatened me; she didn't look like she'd be able to make me do anything. Besides, I could just Judo throw her if she tried. The walls weren't that hard...
Then again, if I broke the wall, I'd have to pay for it, which would be a problem, since I was broke. I stood slowly, slipping my dagger into my pocket as I did. "If I go with you, will you leave me alone?" I asked, retriving my bag and tossing it onto my bed.

"If I go with you, will you leave me alone?"
Rikka shook her head at those words."No. That's not how you be a servant." stated Rikka. Geez, this guy really needed the day out. Talk about a boring guy. Oh well, at least he finally started to obey orders, at least that was a good start. She walked out the door with her twin most behind her. The only problem though was where to go? Her stomach as if it heard her, answered with a small grumble. Well then, now she knew where to go outside. It was time to eat something and she felt like having ice cream. The only problem though was where the ice cream shop?
"I want ice cream." she stated as she stared at her brother. He nodded and lead the way to the ice cream store. There weren't that many people in here. She walked up to the ice cream parlor."One vanilla, one strawberry and...Dareynn what flavor do you want?" she asked. The guy better thanked her seeing that she was paying for his share as well.

I didn't really care that I wasn't behaving like a servant; I wasn't one. This pompous girl better get used to being talked back to; I was not going to put up with this.
Neku may not mind it, but her ordering him and me around like she was bothered me. When she said she wanted ice cream, Neku just led the way there. I followed, figuring Rikka would notice and yell at me again if I didn't. I hadn't done anything to my wrist other than pull my long-sleeved shirt over it; I could feel the fabric sticking to the cut.
When we got to the ice cream parlor, Rikka ordered for herself and Neku before looking at me. "I don't like ice cream," I retorted, going to sit at a table that was as far away from the windows as possible. Sure, I was hungry, but ice cream... I'd never liked it. We'd never had it when I was little, and I'd only tasted it a few times. It wasn't something I'd spend money on.

"I don't like ice cream,"
Rikka simply shrugged at his words. Whatever, his lost. "Well then, just strawberry and vanilla." she ordered and watched the person scoop the ice cream into the cup. Once the process was finished, she gave her brother the white one and walked over to where her servant was. She ate the ice cream happily since well it was ice cream. Who couldn't eat it in a happy mood? Well that is except for Dareynn but he was weird. He was like someone who just doesn't want to have fun, in other words he was a party pooper.
As she ate the ice cream she noticed the silence and didn't exactly know what o say. Well might as well try to get her brother some personality."So Neku, how do you like your ice cream?" she asked. Her tone was commanding or anything but rather quite sincere. He nodded at her words but she eyed him as if asking if that was how he really felt. To that, he simply remain unresponsive. Figures, getting him some opinion was going to be hard. Maybe this guy could do it. {Epic fail.;__;}

//It's fine. I love the bit about Dareynn being weird... XD // It took only a few minutes for Rikka and Neku to join me; Neku didn't really look like he cared he was eating the milky stuff, unlike his sister. She seemed almost ecstatic. (Weirdo. All ice cream did was make you cold and melt all over.)
She asked him what he thought of it; his response was pretty...neutral. Maybe he didn't have any opinion. I blinked, then leaned back in my chair. My stomach rumbled quietly, the noise barely audible. I'd have to find a job or something so I could earn money to buy lunch with... I'd look around as Rikka drug us around; maybe there would be somewhere that wouldn't totally drive me insane. {My post isn't the best, either...}
