Personality: Zexion sees the world and everything around him through the eyes of a critic. Some people would say he's arrogant. He disapproves of anything and everything that he dignifies as 'moronic', but tends not to do anything about them. Better to let them clean up the mess than have him do it, right? His cold, somewhat sarcastic approach to things tends to drive people away from him, but this doesn't bother the Schemer. He wasn't there to make friends in the first place.

Zexion is derived from 'Ienzo', one of the six dedicated apprentices of Ansem the Wise. He was, if one were to think about it, a child prodigy. He longed for a way to outshine the others, to become Ansem's most trusted apprentice and therefore be superior to the rest. He diligently studied the darkness, trying to find new ways to use it, beneficially or not. But then, when Ansem halted the studies, the apprentice was crushed. All of his hard work, now forbidden to even be spoken of? It went from 'highly intriguing' to 'a foolish waste'? He would have none of it. It took no time at all for Xehanort to sway him against Ansem, and within days of their continued experimentation, he lost his heart. The time between the loss of his heart and becoming part of the Organization were lost to him.

He was a wreck at first. His mind kept contradicting itself, telling him he had no heart, then drowning him in false emotion. It was horrible. But Zexion managed to pull through, and even put his emotions and previous life behind him after some time. He was no longer Ienzo, the diligent apprentice.. he was Zexion, the Cloaked Schemer.

He proved his worth by pulling in other Nobodies, as well as being rather adequate when it came to recon in other worlds. He thought himself to be one of the most useful Nobodies in the Organization. And then, when Roxas came along, Zexion truly discovered the usefulness of the Keyblade, and his longing for a heart seemed to grow stronger with each heartless the thirteenth member struck down. But, even if he was the key to finishing Kingdom Hearts, Roxas was much too close to Axel for his liking... and don't even get him started on Xion.

He was almost elated (almost because he couldn't be) when he was sent to the second Castle Oblivion. He was able to keep an eye on the the neophytes Larxene and Marluxia, and that was of great use to him. He already had his suspicions about the two.. after all, they wanted to use Sora as a puppet. If it were for the Organization's benefit, he surely didn't seem to show it.

And then there was Vexen's Riku replica. Though it fascinated Zexion, there was something about it that made him uneasy..especially when Axel started to take an interest in it. But, putting those forebodings aside, Zexion diligently worked out a plan to sway Riku to the Organization's side. He was much more powerful than Sora, after all.

But, as it turns out, his plan didn't work. Sustaining serious injuries, Zexion returned to the lower levels of Castle Oblivion to recover... but Axel and the replica appeared soon after. The replica, with the guidance of number 8, proved to be his undoing... and Zexion was killed, fading away into oblivion.

Weaknesses: His tendency to overlook forebodings, lack of foresight, and his hair (which gives him a blind side) are his greatest weaknesses.
Strengths: His keen observation, ability to recognize distinctive scents, and power over illusions prove to be his most distinguishing strengths.
Weapons/Magic: He has power over illusions, and they are most powerful when channelled through his weapon, the Lexicon.
How did you come to be at the academy?: Sheer chance, I suppose. Coming out of oblivion, attending school was the first thing that came to mind.

RP Sample: It was annoying. Terribly annoying. Of all people, Marluxia had been made head of the second Castle Oblivion. Had Xemnas completely lost his mind? First off, the man was a neophyte, and second, he was a power-hungry imbecile! Who in their right mind would even bother with that..with that heathen?

"What possessed the Superior to do such a thing?"

Brushing hair from the usually clear side of his face, a sigh escaped his lips, and he descended a flight of stairs. "There must be something I'm missing.." Pausing for a moment, he was tempted to consult Lexaeus about the Superior's choice.. but knowing him, he wouldn't dignify the Schemer with a response. And Vexen wouldn't even give him a chance to speak once Marluxia's name came up. If there was any two people in the Organization who absolutely despised each other, it would be those two.

"It seems I may have to keep my opinions to myself..typical."

Resuming his stride, Zexion took notice of a somewhat (but not quite) familiar scent. "That's odd...it's so similar to the Superior.." Thinking for a moment, he tried to match the scent with a name; nothing came to mind. "How..peculiar. I must inform the others.."

And with that, he disappeared into a rather quick burst of darkness, reappearing in a large, empty, and particularly dim room. Which a light twitch of his hand, two Dusks appeared beside him. "Retrieve Vexen and Lexaeus. Tell them I've found something that might be of interest."

As the Dusks went off to fulfill their duties, Zexion waited calmly. 'Vexen will find this intriguing, I just know it..'
